Hey ladies! I had a very big scare last week. I was at work and I went to the restroom because I was feeling wet down there and I saw bright red blood in my underwear! I was terrified! So I called my OB immediately and they got me in right away for an ultrasound and to my surprise baby was doing fine. Heartbeat was 179 bpm what a relief!! I have still been spotting off and on but it has pretty much stopped. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?
@Mamabird4 Not that I heard. The u/s tech said that she didn't see any bleeding around the sac and the doctor that I saw said that he couldn't explain why I was bleeding. He just said that pregnancy is very vascular.
That does make me feel better! I hope that it doesn't happen again. :fingers:
Hi ladies! Got my positive hpt this morning on cd 13! It's been a surreal day. We still can't believe it!

@happymommy - yes since getting my bfp I have had a couple of baaaddd headaches that panadol just doesnt even touch and I feel like my head will shatter if I move it too fast or bump it lol its horrible.
@ahorn - that must have been very scary indeed, I'm so glad you got to see a nice strong heartbeat on the u/s. My sister bled bright red at the start of her pregnancy and she was convinced she was losing the baby but my nephew is here and he is totally fine. You did the right thing by going straight to the Dr though. I hope it doesnt come back for and you can relax a little xo
Thank you missiz. I'm still very new to this site and still learning how to use it so please bare with me.
We didn't even think the 1 attempt and j&d (at least I think it was but it was uninrentional, had to pee after 10 min and then fell asleep) would succeed so quickly. I've just signed up with GD a few weeks ago after trying for a year with no success. We were skeptical but bam! We're preggo, lol. So happy we are finally just wish I would've stumbled onto GD a year ago!

yes there is ALOT of information to take in with this site but the ladies are always happy to answer any questions and we are a tight community of people who are supportive of each other so I'm glad you found us :)
hehe yes we only had 1 attempt with a j&d and got pregnant 1st time too, I wasnt expecting to be so lucky but I am grateful it did work, it can be quite tough being on the diet for long periods and having the disappointment of a missed cycle. Well we are glad you are here now and I hope your pregnancy goes smoothly :)
Thank you! It's nice to have a wonderful group to chat to. Even though it's my 5th pregnancy (3 blue 1 miscarriage) I can forget what it's like being pregnant and since we miscarried our 3rd we decided with our 4th we'd keep it quiet for a long time and we plan on doing the same this time around. It was lonely at times not telling anyone for so long. So thank you for being so inviting and nice and I hope to make more friends.

Well, I guess I may have joined the group prematurely. Just went to the loo and passed some brown blood and then when I wiped it was pinkish. In the morning, I passed some mucous that was brown tinged, figured it was just old blood. But what just happened was very much not a little bit. I guess all I can do is wait and see...feeling so sad.
@Wishing4Pink - Yes I decided to keep this pregnancy a secret longer than my previous ones, and I am finding it difficult having noone really to talk to about it, thats why I appreciate this forum and the ladies so much. Yes its definitely an opportunity to make friends, I am still in contact with mums from my due date group with my daughter who is now 2 :)
@dreamofdaughter - I can imagine you must be so worried, have you had any pain or cramping? perhaps you could talk to your Dr and get a scan done to see whats going on? Its still possible that the baby is ok, people have had bleeding before and gone on to have successful pregnancies, I hope this is the case for you xo thinking of you :fx:
I had a dream last night that my baby was a boy.
Has anyone else had a gender dream this pregnancy?
What about previous pregnancies? We're the dreams correct?
Try not to worry. The same thing happened to me with this pregnancy right around 5 weeks. I was really scared so I went to the doctor and got an ultrasound and everything was fine they saw a yolk sac but no heartbeat and I went back a week later and the heartbeat was there. This pregnancy has been very different I’ve had two episodes of bleeding which completely freaked me out. Maybe you could call the doctor just to get some reassurance. I hope everything is ok FX!
welcome Wishing!

My sil had bleeding several times during her last pregnancy and went on to have a healthy girl. From what I understand, if there isn't any cramping then that's a good sign. A lot of bright blood with cramping is what to watch for i guess. I pray everything is fine and you get confirmation soon! :bighug:
Thank you all. I just passed a ton of blood and I am cramping. I knew something was wrong when I woke up. No sore breasts, no nausea, no headache. My baby is gone.
Very sorry dreamofdaughter:sadflwr:
Oh dreamaofadaughter I am so very sorry! Big hugs!!
Thank you all for your support! Signing off this thread. Been a rough day. Sending you all my best wishes for healthy babies and hopefully your desired genders!
xx
Im so sorry to hear this dreamofdaughter, will you be going to the Dr? thinking of you xo
I'm so sorry dreamofdaughter I will be thinking of you!
How are all you beautiful mommas doing? I am only 4.5 wks pregnant so no major symptoms yet. I am hoping I don't get as much nausea as I have before! I usually get MS around 6 weeks so I am trying to enjoy eating whatever I want before good aversions kick in! 😂
Thank you. :)
I did. hcg indicate m/c. I also bled pretty much non-stop on Sunday - it was a very surreal experience. My DH could barely talk all day. I feel so much like I failed him.
All symptoms are completely gone. Trying to stay positive and be happy I was able to conceive; really that was only our 3rd attempt (and the last one was very poorly timed), that is at least reassuring. Hoping I can beat the odds on hold on the next time.
Hope all the expectant mammas are feeling good!
@RaisingGentlement - I am having an off day today, dizzy in the head, headaches, ms and bad wind pains :( lets hope for your sake that you dont get morning sickness this time!! I was totally morning sickness free with my 1st 2 pregnancies, and with my last 2 I have had morning sickness :(
@dreamofdaughter - ok well at least it was confirmed so you didnt have to wonder about it, were you in much pain? dont blame yourself, I'm sure your husband doesnt think you failed him, its just a sad situation to have to go through and everyone reacts to it differently. Can you sit down with hubby and maybe have an open chat about how your both feeling?
good on you for trying to stay positive, I really hope things work out for you in the future xox
Dreamofdaughter as someone who wernt through 3 mc's before my sticky and since born dd I just want to give you a giant hug. My first mc I was so confused and didn't feel the doctors explained things even remotely enough. I was a mess wondering what on earth was happening. My main info and support came from this very website so if you have any questions at all please pm me and I'll be happy to answer. I'm so sorry for your loss [emoji173]

Thank you for your reply. It is just how he deals with it and I'm sure I am projecting my feelings of failing onto him it's just difficult because I feel like I have to pretend to be coping well with it because he is so depressed. Like it's no use if both of us spiral down, you know?
I didn't have much cramping or pain, I am lucky it was minimal. Oddly, I thought it was all done and then I had some cramps on my left side this morning then just now I went for a walk at work and I flooded! I had to go to a coffee bathroom and passed a huge clot and almost burst into tears. It's all very - I don't know - surreal I guess. But I just keep telling myself, it will be ok and I'm not giving up. I just want the bleeding to stop so I don't have a reminder of it.
Question for you all - I’m 10.4 weeks pregnant. I was ttc girl so I’m taking extra folate along with my prenatals. I got really bad stomach flu and haven’t been able to keep anything down for 36ish hours. I won’t have had a prenatal or extra folate for 3-4 days by the time I can actually keep some down. I know atomic says to keep taking the high doses of folate throughout the first tri. So the question is how much should I be concerned that I haven’t taken my pills in so long? [emoji31]
