Be fab to see a bump pic Sunset :)
I noticed 2 people or something made girl comments :( it's so insensitive in my opinion when they do that on a public forum like FB. I hope it didn't upset you too much, just try and ignore thoughtless people and their comments (although i know that's easier said than done :hug2:
I got lots of that when I posted I was pregnant on FB too. Some of those ladies knew I wanted to try for a girl (and the comments still annoyed me!) but when people I rarely see say 'FX it's a girl this time' it really annoys me - makes me feel protective of my boys!
Chocolate ~ that's strange.. i think what they mean is that you shouldn't test with fmu because LH hormone is always present in the urine so can give you a false positive if you test with fmu because of how concentrated the urine will be. the lh surge (from how i've understood it) usually starts early on a morning and surges between 1-3pm or around that time. someone please correct me if i'm totally wrong.
Have fun at Butlins :)
I know that feeling! girl comments always make me feel like a super protective lioness! I didn't get comments on my profile on FB as such, but i had people send me private messages asking if i'm wanting a girl this time.. like, why would anyone think to send someone a private message to say congrats and are you hoping for a girl???
hiya girls, by have you all been busy 17 pages already and were only the 5th day into dec!!!!!!
Deaks - Boo For the BFN!!! i so know how you feel! ive been yo yo'ing on this diet for around 7 months and decided last cycle that i was going to give myself a break and have stopped everything, supps ,diet, charting ,the lot. i just felt i was getting obsessed with it all and it seemed to take over my life. Constantly thinking about it all the time. think that has been a major part in why i havent been coming on here so much as i dont want it all to get such a chore! constant research has been frazzling my brain!! And like you said i should just be happy with what i have already. Im going to get Xmas out the way and the new year and start taking supps and doing hardcore diet again. I hope you are okay! big hugss to you
Lavenderlime - not long till your attempt!!! your wait seems to have flew by hope you have a successfull first attempt! Love the PNP my dp always sets it up for the boys to watch every year. its lovely
hiya to eveyone else! hope you are all okay!!! Nothing much going on here. off for a soak in the bath and attempt to get ds2 to go to sleep as he seems to stay awake untill i go to bed nowadays! little rascal!!!
Oh no Deaks, just seeing this now :( ((hugs)) to you. I wish things could have been different. I'm so so sad for you....
Charlie- sorry you had a hard time at the mw. Praying for you and your little bean. I'm sure you will have a good experience on Saturday, I know how worried you must be though.
I've packed and parcled my SS present, posting later this week! :)
It was lovely seeing so many lovely comments Babymad but those couple of girl comments, ugh:mad:
Good for you littlemiss! Wish I had the willpower and patience to take a proper break but as the months go on I get broodier and broodier! You will have such a wonderful Christmas without having to worry about swaying! Will you still attempt at all? Hope you got ds2 off to sleep quickly and enjoyed your bath. You inspired me to do the same and then get an early night X
Good night all, lots of love :HH:
I'm so sorry Deaks, that's really crappy. I'm glad you're feeling ok x
Wow I have missed a lot over the past few days its been mega busy!!
Deaks I am so sorry hun, its good to hear though that you have a new plan in place and I hope you feel better soon Hugs
Indigo so sorry I missed your exciting news, CONGRATULATIONS on your BFP !! :)
deaks - so sorry.... you must be so gutted. Relaxing a few sway things is probably a great idea and will hopefully make the whole process less intense and stressful.
Charlie - hope you're doing ok and you've had no more spotting....
zanacal - wow you're having your gender scan on Thursday!!!! Are you nervous/excited??? My friend asked me today if I'm finding out. I said we haven't decided yet but we definitely are... I'm just not sure if I want to share the gender with everyone.
My brother is visiting from the UK next week with his 18 month old daughter. So that will be lovely. He's never been over to Australia and I haven't seen him for 2 years. Probably won't able to get on here for that week.
I have my 12 week scan on Friday. Am taking MIL - she is very excited. We had a birthday gathering on the weekend and my FIL said to me in front of other people 'You won't be wanting wine'. I was a bit cross. We aren't telling people until after my scan.... arghhhh - some people can't keep secrets!!!!! Useless! I think I'm going to ask for a nub shot. Although I don't want to stress over is it/isn't it.... oh well....
I'm starting to have better days. I still get really tired.... went into the city this morning to see the Myer Windows - Christmas window display for the kiddies and DS1 and his friend refused to go and see Father Christmas. Its odd sitting outside in the glorious sunshine surrounded by decorations and Christmas trees with Christmas music playing. Flaked out when I got home :D
Lol Pinga I can't imagine being in Australia at Christmas time, Christmas in the summer seems odd! Santa must get flaming hot lol!
Awww bet you can't wait for your brother to come see you!
Deaks I'm so sorry af arrived, but glad your positive!!
Charlie good luck with Saturday!
Not much going on in my life really! I'm very boring!
Oh Pinga forgot to mention your scan!! How exciting!! I think I'm going to ask for a nub shot as well when I get mine, still got a while to wait tho! Good luck Friday!
Good morning ladies :)
Threelittlemen ~ lovely to hear from you again! are you all sorted for christmas now? :)
Pinga ~ good luck with your scan, how exciting! you have to post your u/s pic for us all to see :) I couldn't imagine what it's like celebrating christmas when it's summer outside, a bit surreal i bet :p how long have you lived in australia for?
Kell ~ lol I bet you're not boring :p
Charliespy ~ I will keep you in my thoughts on saturday, i do anyway though! i really hope you're bean is growing stronger everyday despite spotting!! i can only imagine how worried you must be!
Deaks ~ I'm glad you're feeling ok! it's really not fair what you've been through these last 2 months :( did you see the doctor?
Indigo ~ how are you feeling? any MS yet?
AFM, Taking DS1 this morning to get his preschool booster jab.. i didn't even know he was due anymore jabs so soon :S and then after that we're going into town to find an animal outfit for ds1's nativity :)
I have also finished packing baby's hospital bag. it's stood in my hallway just waiting to be used now and i have to say i'm amazed with myself. I've never before had a packed hospital bag ready so that's why i said to myself i would do it super early this time so there's no way I go into labour before and usually i'm not very organised but here it is, packed and ready! :D i can definitely relax now.. but i'm sure that because it's packed and ready i'll probably stay pregnant for the full 40 weeks haha
Morning,
Chocolate hope you're having some lovely family time away hope this helps the start of 2ww go nice and quickly for you!
Deaks you have such a positive attitude :) I really hope that maybe we can be bump budies I still think there is room for some more December BFP!
Zancal, Pinga andCharlie I hope both your scans go well this week! EEk Zanacal can't believe you'll hopefully know the sex in a few days time!! Pinga I'd ask for a nub shot too, it's only for fun after all!
Kell hope your not feeling as sick and managing to eat.
Sunset get snapping, I bet you look lovely :) so do you think the whole carrying girls to boys theory is true? I Carried both my boys out front and didn't look pregnant from behind until the very last few weeks, then I got massive but It was mostly water weight and I only had 7lb 1, and 7lb 4 babies:D
Hello TLMAC :)
LMW I can't believe my attempt has come around so soon either eek hopefully it'll be around some time next weekend!
I'm actually finding it really hard to eat enough on this diet now as I'm just not hungry anymore and really gone off food. I weighed myself and have lost 10lb now and my top half looks a bit underweight ass my ribs are sticking out a bit and my boobs have shrunk :( but I've still got lots of fat left on my bum and thighs :D LOL I wish the weight would drop of those areas first!
Lavenderlime ~ I lost quite a bit of weight on the girl diet as well.. in the end my size 6 jeans were loose on me :S eugh! it really wasn't healthy! but hang in there, hopefully you won't have to wait long for your bfp! i don't know if it's gender related, but i have gained alot more weight in this pregnancy and i started filling out alot sooner as well. mind you alot of it is fluid retention (luckily) so i don't know if it's because it's my 3rd pregnancy or because it's a girl this time..? i hardly gained any weight at all with the boys. I never looked pregnant from behind, but this time it's all over the place, thighs, bum, love handles, neck etc etc  but then i can't help but think perhaps it's because i was so skinny when i fell pregnant because of the girl diet so perhaps that's why i feel like i've gained a ton of weight? hmm..
so your attempt might be next weekend? :D are you all sorted and ready to go? :D
btw i'm loving all the christmas tickers!! :D
Does anyone shop at JOJO MAMAN BEBE??
Got a voucher code for 15% off and free delivery till 18th Dec- MTF12
Just got my next maternity order thru, thought I should order a bigger size than I am now (thinking ahead) and nothing fits!! arghhhh!!!!! Luckily ordered 2 pair of jeans and 2 tops my size now and although they are a bit big, they will be required as my butt and thighs expand!!! lol Everyone at work saying I have a noticeable bump now and look very pg, well at 19wks almost I'd hope so! Put on 7lbs now...actually happy with that as with twin pg's the mum needs to gain a little more weight than usual, but I'm still in my normal size work uniform oddly! Last time was out it at 15/16wks.
Was working last night so desp to get to bed, but been on the phone for ages querying a refund on my next acct that didn't go thru! Now off the phone, off to bed now. We have no water from 8am-8pm, so lots of water bottles filled. Routine maintenance! today and tomorrow! My ds2 was off school yest with a bad cold and I sent him today but hope I don't get a phone call from the school. He seems alot better and was desp to go back, much to ds1's horror!
Babymad, I'm actually looking forward to saying on FB that I am pg and adding the 'Twin' bit.... bet I get lots of 'girl' comments too and I'm kinna ok with that as I don't think I could hear any that I haven't heard this past 2 mths. Never had a horrible comment, just people saying " a wee girl would be nice (or 2 now), but I'm sure u'll be just as happy with another 2 lovely boys" only 1 person have said they are "praying these are girls for me" but I just laughed, secretly thinking "me too". The comments, so far haven't been as bad as I thought they would be, but wait till I put it on FB!! lol You do have lots of lovely wishes and thoughts. x
Can't believe Z finds out the gender in 2 sleeps!! FXFXFX I have 7 sleeps till I find out...feels like forever!
Well, finally off the phone.... off to catch some zzzzzz's nite ladies, catch up later. x
Hi ladies,
OMG Z not long to go how are you feeling???
Inglewood - YAY for a bump I really hope you will be posting your little girls on FB soon ;) ohno for the clothes being too big however better than too small ;)
Sunset - bet you look fabulous - they do say you gain everywhere with girls and with my 3 boys i was like you didnt show from the back at all.
Deaks thinking of you x
indigo - hope you are still smiling about your secret :D
maybe - how are you x did you talk to DH??
Lavender - good luck with your attempt x FX
AFM - the lovely lady got blood first time this morning thank god x so that is done! Made tray bake for ds2 preschool bazaar - not loving cooking right now! Also put a deposit down on a holiday next august! Wanted something good to think about bit stressed about baby etc and this year we didnt go a proper holiday had 4 nights away in june and that was it the whole year - we cant really afford much but decided if we book it now more likely to pay it off sooner and save for the spending money. So in august (yes i know all going well i will have a 5-6wk old baby!) we have booked a Yurt in the south of france :D the people who run it say you can drive down in a day but we plan to stop once due to baby and ds3 etc but it was 395 for a week FX for good weather - it has electricity, water access to a pool near a manmade beach and a few little villages - cant wait oh and they provide cots bedding etc can even ask them to get shopping in when you arrive and a cooked meal! Very hippy but very me so excited!!! Just need saturday to be a good day too now :D
inglewood - 7 sleeps!!!
4 sleeps for me for fx happy button
I think I might be nesting a bit as i've been cleaning like a mad person these last few days.. not that it does much good unfortunately... once i've tidied one room the boys have trashed another
Took ds1 for his preschool jabs this morning and it was horrible. 2 injections and he cried bless him! i felt like the most terrible mother in the world, but luckily a lollypop from the nurse and a little chocolate santa and all is forgotten.
Inglewood ~ yay for a bump :) I too hope to see you announce the news on FB soon :) i love how organised you are! I've been living in 2 pairs of lazy pants this entire pregnancy because i can't be bothered to buy more maternity jeans. I have 1 pair but they're far too uncomfortable so i only wear them if it's a must lol
Charliespy ~ Sounds like a great little holiday you've booked. where did you find it? :) not long to go for your scan :)
Oh dear, I've got a little issue!
Before I fell of, I started looking for a part time job, an agency contacted me as yet saw my cv on line and put me forward for a job, I've been offered an interview tomorrow! I don't know what to do, I could just go to the interview and not say a word or do I tell te agent? So confused!
Charlie I did talk to dh. He was very good yesterday looking in the loft for hours for baby things. He has been sent back up there tonight. Told him if things stay they same we are off to relate in the new year and he said ok so it's a start.
Indigo - I wanted to give you a hug today and say congratulations! But I behaved! So mad I missed ds1 Christmas concert! Grrhhh! Plus tomorrow he has Tudor feast and they all dressing up. I said I couldn't be bovered but all the other mums have got outfits. He is going in as a knight as I had that outfit already. The boys are going in as Henry the eighth! Like he would wear that again:-/ when I was a kid it was a tea towel and your undies! Kids these days ...
How you feeling deaks? Have a massive curry and a bottle of wine and relax over Christmas.
Kell go for that job btw
Kell you don't have to tell them your pregnant at this stage unless the nature of the job might have a negative impact on your pregnancy health and safetly and all that jazz. I changed jobs when I was 11 weeks pregnant with DS1 but did tell them. Luckily I'd worked there before and they were in a tight spot so my past experience was more important than the fact I wasn't going to stay for the long haul.
I suppose it's how you feel about it. Do you think it will hinder your chances of getting the job if they knew? I know that they can't not hire you on that basis but may find another excuse or pick someone else over you because of it.
Charlie that holiday sounds fab! We stayed at one of the featherdown farms Feather Down Farm Days in Devon glamping at the end of the summer! And it was lovely it's like a large canvas tent with a wooodburning stove and large farmhouse table inside and beds. We had our own chicken coop outside which the boys loved! There are lots of pictures on their website. Think it was £300 for a week so a very cheap family holiday there was only four of us but the tents sleep six, so a great value holiday for those of you that'll have 4 kids! Can't speak of it highly enough and they have farms all over the country. Great holiday for a few families to go on at the same time as the kids can all play in the field whilst the adults drink wine:D.
DP did wonder if they did simular things abroad so your holiday sounds right up our street!
Sunset unfortunately the diet is all too easy to stick to all i've eaten today is a bowl of rice crispies at 2pm and drunk some milk and I am in no way hungry!?? I'm sure this is how eating disorders start! Hopefully when I get my BFP i'll regain a normal attitude to food i've always been a massive foodie as well!
Charlie, will be thinking of u sat, sure ur wee one is ding just fine, fab news about ur holiday!! Wish I could think that far ahead!!
Kell, you might not even know ur pg! with ds1 I was about 7-8wks! So go for it! If u feel up to working with the nausea.
Maybe, glad ur dh is up for relate, a fab start!!!
Sunset, ohhh nesting??? What a brave boy u had, hate the kids needing jags, c'os u know what's coming and they don't, their wee faces.. :( I spend my last pg with ds2 in joggers as I had put on alot of weight before my pg and they were comfy, but decided to treat myself this time to some nice new stuff, as I never do.
Lavender, that's not much to eat at all, will u eat more for tea?
Kell ~ you should definitely go for the job if that's what you want :) you don't need to tell them you're pregnant until you're 15 weeks!
Maybebaby ~ glad to hear your dh is up for relate, that's a great start! :)
Inglewood ~ luckily my ds1 knows what's coming with the jabs since he has to have jabs every year anyway because of his heart condition, but what he didn't know was that he had to have 2 jabs today :( usually he doesn't even flinch, but he cried today so i don't think the nurse did a very good job :/ it's really horrible isn't it.. but no more jabs now until october next year! :) Enjoy your maternity jeans! i wish i would have treated myself to some nice clothes because i'm so fed up with lazy pants.. can't wait to wear normal clothes again and make an effort :)
Lavenderlime ~ that doesn't sound like much at all.. what will you have for tea?
Deaks ~ how are you today?
Misswilko ~ miss your posts on here. enjoy your break over christmas!
Lavender - I've been hankering after a Featherdown Farm holiday for a couple of years now! Unfortunately, even a few hundred quid is more than we have to spend on a holiday (and it's likely to be far more than that now we're restricted to school holidays!). We built an extension to our house last year which cost far more than we'd anticipated!! This year we just went to Legoland for the weekend so I might see if we can sneak in a weekend somewhere before the baby arrives :D
Thanks for thinking of me and my scan everybody - I just want to get it over with and get on with it, whatever the outcome!!
Just finished cooking rock buns for the Tudor feast tomorrow. Didn't the Tudors have rickets and eat weevils? Feel pg now all achy and can't bend down to open oven!
Feel a bit better as one of the other mums forgot to get her son dress up for Tudor day. I suggested Tudor pjs! These days get on my wick a bit. There is always some smart arse that shows all the other kids up dressed in genuine period costume borrowed from the Victoria and Albert museum! Why can't they do Victorian? Boot polish on the face and braces and hay presto one chimney sweep! Can you tell I am hormonal?
Thanks, hee hee, it was fun you knowing!
so annoying you missed the concert. I feel that they do expect a lot at the school, there is always something to get ready and bring in etc. You should have seen the costumes for the reception production, ridiculous! They each must have taken hours to make, not a tea-towel to be seen! It's such a pressure for parents. Well done for getting the buns done! I'm sure he'll have a great time tomorrow.
Really glad your dh is being helpful and agreeing to relate is brilliant. I have some friends going now and it is doing them the world of good.
charlie- sounds like a really great holiday, I'm jealous lol! Good to have something to look forward to. Praying saturday goes well for you hun.
deaks- how are you today? Glad you have some energy to be positive, well done, you WILL get your sticky bfp just hang in there :HH:
Eve all, so mad! Ordered a BIG BERTHA bean bag from groupon, was told to redeem the voucher code after 8pm tonight, over 500 people bought one and I NEED it in blue b4 xmas, so desp to order it and my code won't work!!! Super pissed off! as It's for ds1 from us for xmas, for playing his xbox. emailed them, but god knows when I will get a reply. :( STRESSSSSSSEEEDDDD!!!
Z, I'm thinking of u for thurs....so exciting. I was nightshift last nite and dreamt all day I'm having boys, work up wondering had I just been told that? was it a dream.... ??
Sunset, know what u mean about the clothes.... sure u look fab now!!!
Indigo - my son was the Only kid in a tea towel and a pillow case in the reception concert. Needless to say he was never offered a part again! Oh the shame :-(
One boy was dressed as turkey made of paper mashey, was unbelievably clever and that mum worked full time too! It is to much pressure. Everyone has been on eBay and I really don't want spend 30 on a one off outfit. I can afford it but it's such a waste of money. You wait till book day that's a Real PITA!
Inglewood I hate Xmas shopping for the boys! Some thing always goes wrong!
