dloui-this is what atomic told me in my personal plan (hope it's ok to post just this here?)
"It is best if DH gives up alcohol all together, but you may drink 1-2 glasses of wine a day until your attempt. Wine is a great source of antioxidants and potassium. If you like beer better, that’s fine too."
So Im sure you ok with 1 cold beer!
5-everything will be fine! we need pics!
Hey Kris, congrats on the beautiful daughter! She looks like an angel, just like her u/s pic in your profile! Hope you are all doing just amazing!

Thanks lola! Any news?
Im so sorry Lola! But you guys don't use protection right? So i still hope it will happen for you!FX forever
No, we certainly aren't using any protection! This past month, we ended up dtd when I was super in the mood, which so happened to be on CD13 and CD14 (I was doing a little experiment and did not record it until later....I just marked my calendar to see if my horny days coincided with O). And my DH held it in for over a week (from what I know!), but we are not actively trying. I am not taking tests or anything, or assuming that I will get pregnant, just dtd when we feel like it. I am thinking of trying this hcg diet with the drops (not the shots) and getting this tire off my waist before summer. Thanks, though, Flava! I will try to keep up and answer questions here though. Lord knows I swayed both hard-core and laid-back for a couple of years and have tried many things so hopefully I will help someone!!! I am actually finding it easier to think about not ttc anymore with starting to think more about donor sperm as an option in a year or so. I have started that research process. It is something we can afford, and if we can get over the emotional part, I think something worth considering more. Heck, if you would adopt a baby in a heartbeat, why not use donor sperm?
Hi ladies, I posted this in the Blue Crew Grads thread, but thought I'd post it here, too!
I had my 20 week ultrasound this afternoon. My baby boy is still a BOY and growing well, BUT right now I'm terrified. The Doctor told me that my placenta is a 'little low' I have to go back in 3 weeks for another scan and also I will get an MRI next week I have had 2 previous c-sections scars and Doctor said placenta can grow into it. I was told not to lift anything heavy and not have sex, it can cause bleeding. I am so scared, and freaking out about it.
Has any one else has had this problem? Please give me some infor.on it. How did you get on with this condition and what should I expect - is it bad?
Here's some pics of my sweet baby boy :babym: :awe:

Lola - thanks, he's got some sleep issues i.e. wants to be cuddled constantly but other then that we're loving him to bits. I like your attitude and still hope you get a surprise :)
MFC - Love that he's still a boy, I only got one peek at Charlie so I didn't believe till I saw the goods at delivery lol I'm sure everything will be fine, take care of yourself and try not to stress too much.

OMG Kris!!! Your little girl is so cute! look at her hair, so pretty :awe:
I'm so glad you're both doing great.
Oh Kris what a little Angel, i love those toes !!!
Kris, congratulations, Kennedy is so beautiful!
Flava - congrats on your BFP hun!!! FX for a H&H 9 months for you <3
MFC - I have not had experience, but my cousin's placenta was a little low and when she went back for a repeat u/s it had migrated up a bit. She wanted to and was able to have a vaginal delivery with that babe and there were no complications.
Awwww....I want one!! How cute are newborn babies!! I want one with hair too...4 of my 5 have been bald.
Lola-if you realllllly want another baby I think you should use donor .Is there is no way to use IUI or something else with DH then he need to see what is better no baby or a baby with donor. Does he has a brother? Just asking because I know ppl ask brothers or sisters fro donor sperm and egg .I think that's so special.
What is this hcg drops ?
Kris- wow she is sleeping at bath time? My girls are screaming lol She is just so cute!
First bath she screamed but she loves them now!
Kris, your little girl is beautiful :)
MFC - I'm glad everything is going well with your baby boy! He's a cutie!
Kris - She is so cute! I love that she is sleeping while taking a bath. What a doll!
Lola - I think it's a healthy attitude that you have. Donor sperm sounds like a great idea if you can get your hubby on board. I used the HCG (injections) to loose weight. The diet stinks, lol! It's really hard on your body and your energy levels are almost 0. That being said you loose a ton of weight very quickly.
Kris, your baby is soooo adorable! How awesome she loves the bath already!! So precious, and love the hair...i always have bald babies!
Lola, I think donor sperm would be a great option in the future. I think the experience of him raising a baby, of you two together with a baby would be an fantastic!
MFC, that sounds very scary...Eek! I've never had that issue before but I have had two C-sections....Taking it esay is prob. the best course of action, and it's good that you'll be mointored so they can keep tabs on it. I hope it rises the next time they see you, and I hope that everything goes well :) So happy to hear that he's been confirmed a boy again!
I'm not finding out what I'm having until 19 weeks (13 weeks now), but if I do end up with hearing "boy", will this group adopt me?
Lola, your DH shouldn't mind the donor sperm if he is okay with adoption. AT least that way, he is still part of the baby's entire development process, and he can watch you get bigger and talk to your tummy, etc. I think that would be a great option for you two!! I hope he goes for it. I wish things were easier for you.... your siggy makes me sad. :( I don't think the low sperm count has "won"--I just think it is making you find a new path. And who knows--maybe a donor is going to be the easiest, best choice for you!
Kris, that baby girl is gorgeous! I love that she is sleeping through her bath! That's precious.
Kris - Awe that pic is too sweet! Sounds like you are in heaven :)
auroara - of course we will adopt you! fx you hear pink
KRIS! What a little beautiful angel!!!!!!! She is simply gorgeous!
3P1B, I would be spoiling the heck out of a baby myself, so consider that Charlie just can't help being spoiled by all his mommies. He is darling, too!
Flava, like Foxy was saying, the HCG diet is one where you take HCG (like a synthetic form of the prego hormone) and eat a 500 calorie a day diet for like a month or so. You can lose 20-30lbs in a month. The hormone makes your body target your fat stores first, so you end up losing the hard-to-get-off fat really well, and it supposedly makes you not as hungry also. The diet does seem like hell, and I am not looking forward to it if I go through with it. Foxy, I may pm you about it and get your personal take!
Thanks, everyone, for all the kind words. You know, when life hands you lemons, you gotta just make vodka lemonade out of it, right? When you have a meager budget, it is hard to think about your options with infertility. There are so many what ifs also......what if we just kept trying? But also, what if my eggs run out while we do that? When I look at our life, I don't see anything but good stuff surrounding having a baby with DS. There are some emotional things that have to get settled in our hearts before we do that, like the obvious of my DH being ok with it as a man (although he raises my girls like his own and doesn't love them any less, of course, I want him to be 100% ok with it and feel like the baby is his)....then there is the issue of if we tell the kid about the DS some day, do we tell other people? Do we just go about life and act like he/she is our own bio child? Of course, we'd pick a donor who looked like DH so that is a possibility. I don't think we could use his brother's sperm.....that is just too weird for me. I want the donor to be completely anonymous, and for it to be closed so the kid never tries to "find" his bio father, kwim? Anyway, I know you all are swaying and pg and all that stuff, but I hope I provide a bit of perspective on this site.....be so so SO grateful for the beautiful babies you all have and are about to create. I would give anything for us to have a biological child that is both ours, boy or girl.
On a different note, MFC, your little man looks handsome already! Try not to freak out.....millions of women have placenta issues and thank goodness for modern medicine- it will get you through it. Do take care of yourself and know that your son will be just fine!
