Is the doctor you see a fertility specialist? Obviously I'm not an expert but I would have thought 16mm wasn't big enough to release an egg. I might be wrong though. Everyone is different and just because I don't release an egg with a 16mm follicle doesn't mean someone else can't!
When did you start using OPKs? Clomid can give false OPKs if you start doing them too soon after the last Clomid tablet. I learnt the hard way. I thought I was going to O because I got a + OPK, but it was just the LH produced by the Clomid. Your LH fluctuates so the OPK might be quite dark one day and then faint the next. Was it definitely a positive that you got?
