I agree crd5ed. I haven't met a single person who the HR OWT hasn't rang true for. I'm sure it's not 100% but I find it to be a really telltale sign. I agree it has to be about 10/12 weeks along tho... Most of the time before 10 weeks all HRs are pretty high.

I remember what that felt like when they dig and dig and dig into you trying to catch the hb. Bless your heart! Hopefully bean will move to a new area the next time you try so you don't get too sore! I wish I had a doppler, that sound is music to my ears!! :)

Well, you have met one now (a heart rate opposite. My daughter was the lowest heart rate of my 5 children. Her HB was always in the 130's or even 120's a couple times. My boys were always in the 150's or above, with my second son having a very high heart rate into the 180's a couple times (and to this very day he gets very easily stressed out and he's 21 years old LOL
SYMPTOMS DO NOT PREDICT GENDER. They have studied this and found that except for a very brief time period about a week before birth, there is NO correlation between gender and heart rate.
Oh and I got mine on eBay pretty reasonable.

I wasn't starting an argument or saying it was fact lol I have been calling it an OWT for a reason... Because that's what it is. I just said it has rang true for everyone I know so it's another fun way to predict things. Geez.

I know, I know, Atomic :) but it just might help me prepare for a boy instead of girl since we're team green! I'm grasping at ways of guessing without really finding out! LOL I need to somehow work out a way to find out if it's girl but remain ignorant if its a boy. I know I will be thrilled with a baby in my arms no matter the gender but oooo, would it be nice to know I'm having a girl! :) (I live in world with unicorns if you can't tell.;) )
My boys were always in the boy range I think. With my first a midwife told me she thought I was having a boy based on the HR so I wasn't happy with her prediction!
There is a site online where you can put in the HR and gestation and it predicts girl or boy. Mine is predicted boy based on the 7wk scsn. My friend who had the boy recently had it predicted girl based on her 7wk scan so I'm not taking it too seriously :)
I think my boy was in the boy range but I can't really remember what my girls were. I'm looking forwards to my first scan at 12 weeks to start to begin the little guesses because like you crd, we are going team green this time, so I shall just tease myself. My kids have all put their hands on my belly and predicted a girl despite one of them wanting a boy(my eldest daughter). She felt twice and first time she just said what she wanted and the second time she closed her eyes and really concentrated and said "well actually I think a girl but I want a boy". She picked the gender and positions of my friends twins a couple of years ago, so maybe she has a "thing". Lol, unicorns here too crd ;)

My second was in total girl range and it got me excited but he's all boy. I didn't even pay attention with my third because of that.
