Goodmom~ his sisters are super happy, in fact, the oldest one cried when she saw him!!
Atsaukina~ my water broke at 1:45 in the morning & I went in 12 hrs later per midwife instructions... But then my contractions slowed down & another 13 hrs later, they started the dreaded pitocin! So it was a total of 37 hours between my water breaking & baby Kolten being born... That Pitocin is a beast... I was super close to asking for an epidural b/c the pain got so intense at the end, but so worth it & I'm glad I got to experience every little & big pain!

Mine usually taken 12 hours to kick in. One good thing is it gives me lots of time to clean up and get ready. We don't stress water broke unless mom gets a fever or is gbs positive.

I have a question for you ladies. Has anyone here tried, or is taking or will take prime rose oil? I have been doing alot of research, I want to give myself the best chance for a vbac. I went to 41 and half weeks with my son and was induced and only dialated 1 cm after 20+ hours after my water broke so I ended up getting a c-section. If anyone has any advice it would be appreciated. .thanks [emoji3]

Do you mean evening primrose oil? I took that from 36 weeks on for both boys and then borage oil capsules -supposed to be stronger than EPO (1 at night inserted vaginally) starting at 38 weeks. I also did raspberry leaf tea (2-3 cups a day) and lots of bouncing on an exercise ball.
I'm not sure if any of it helped but I never had issues with dilation, etc once birth started.
I'm also doing pregnancy acupuncture twice a week this time around- might be something to consider, it is supposed to shorten labor.

Yes its epo. How many do you take orally Junie?
I will also look into the acupuncture. .thanks

Please be very careful if you intend to take EPO. It is a blood thinner and can be dangerous. RLT is good for toning your uterus and there is a study suggesting that eating 6 dates a day help too. If baby isn't ready to come, nothing will make it move. However EPO can put you at risk of harm during delivery.
