Poptart I'm in Ireland so not sure our healthcare is similar to yours or not. I am seeing my GP today to have pregnancy confirmed and he will send a referral letter into my local maternity hospital. So I am 4+4 and I reckon it will be about 10 weeks before I hear from the maternity unit for my booking in appt. That's the norm here anyway but it's definitely a case of the earlier you book in the earlier you get seen!

Yogi sending tonnes of positive vibes your way. Glad to hear your LO is ok and I hope they sort out the bleed asap! I had a massive bleed at about 7 weeks on DS2, they never truly discovered what it was but I did experience intermittent bleeding throughout the pregnancy after that, maybe every 3 weeks or so. Thinking of you and bubs hun xxx

Too nervous to make my first appointment. I know my obstetrician will want to book me in for weekly scans due to my history. With my last miscarriage I had weekly scans and it was heartbreaking one week to see bub with a heartbeat then the following week no heartbeat. I'm leaning towards not seeing him until 12 weeks then hopefully what will be will be and save myself the stress. I don't want to even get my bloods done as I'm scared of the results.
Hopper dating scan is booked for 15th - I was hoping for straight away as I'm so impatient but they said they prefer to do it at 7-8wks unless it's urgent due to a bleed etc.
That would be very difficult Violet to have weekly scans and to have that experience, I can understand you putting off making that first appointment x

Poptart I did an online self referral this time so I didn't have to waste time going to see the GP just to get referred, did it pretty soon after my positive test and just had my booking appointment this morning.

Violet - that would be tough and I completely understand. I keep trying to tell myself the same thing - what will be will be, probably regardless of what I do or don't do. Hoping this is a sticky bean for you though!!
