Oh Sparkles, I read your post in the other DD forum and I laughed because I am the opposite. I am having a hard time with girl names but I have plenty of boy names that I have loved for a while. If baby was a boy I think he would already be named. I think DH and I will take a long time to name baby girl.

I got my doppler with DD2 when I was about 28wks, and checked about every 2 weeks- it was a good thing I did it's how I suspected she was late term breech. I just caught babes heartbeat this pregnancy, and don't have a lot of extra time, so ... i'll check whenever I get the time too, haha. I know it's an old wives tale, but the heartbeat gave me lil hope for blue. My girls at this age were NEVER under 160bpm but my son at 12-13wks was at 140bpm. DD2 was even in the 180s around this time.
When the midwife came round on Wednesday I asked her if I could hear the babies heartbeat, I never get bored of that sweet sound..u could even hear him kicking the doppler a few times. I videoed ut so my boys could hear.
I think she said it was in the 150s so even more indication of blue lol!

It was meant to say 'thank you', when I type on my phone I make so many mistakes.
I think it's only natural to get the holiday blues, and also having to share news that is so nice to keep secret!
Have you told everyone yet, or done the social media announcement?

MrsSparkles, so happy you are feeling better. Life is so short, se we better enjoy and be happy and not let sadness or bitterness take over our minds. I hope you manage to pick yourself up and start enjoying your first pregnancy and child. Can I ask where do you buy those dopplers?
We are going to announce pregnancy to my in laws today and I am nervous of their reaction. Happy Sunday everyone.

As far as the Doppler, my friend bought hers on eBay.
I'm not sure which shops might do them, maybe babies r us (in the Us), or mothercare (Uk)
Thank you. I might buy one too. My inlaws are also loud ans very talkative and we have talked about recording them while announcing. I am going to wrap a pink dummy and a scan picture in Christmas paper and give to them as a advents gift.
I could'nt come up with something better.
