Starting to feel a little panicky here, even though I don't want to. I hit 9 weeks and I've set up my first appt. with my midwife for a couple of weeks from now, so things are seeming really real now. I know DH wants to find out the baby's gender but I'm just not sure if I can handle it. I really, really want to enjoy this pregnancy and feel at peace no matter what gender this LO is. I hate GD, lol. I hate that it matters. At this point I am just going to keep praying for peace.
We can't decide on a girl name either, which makes it harder I think. With Honor we picked her name really early and I really liked it, so even with GD I liked her name and kind of clung to that.
Just having a hard time today I guess, and needed to share somewhere. I just want to be happy about my LO and not worry, but I do worry.

Skrimpy - I so hear ya! I hate so much that gender matters. Sorry you're having a rough day :bighug:
Congrats WP and MFC and the new babies i missed. have to catch up.....
Life with a new born gets soooo busy.....had almost forgot abt it in 6 yrs...lol

Gideon is doing great and is a wonderful eater. Hubby is back at work and things are going back to normal, he fits in just right.

2 weeks old today and we made it back to our birth weight! 8lbs 2 oz. doc says he looks perfect. im really enjoying him but in all honesty he isn't much different from a girl baby. he just wears blue. but he is such a good baby and loves to be cuddled. im having alot of trouble with the 1 year old. she's got 3 teeth trying to come in at once and she's crying day and night. she keeps me up more then the newborn.

his blood sugars were not good so for 2 days after birth he had an i.v. of sugarwater going into him. then we got to go home for 1 night. the next morning he had jaundice and we spent 3 days under the lights. so we spent the first week of his life in the hospital which im thankful. after they told me to prepare for a preemie and a long stay in the nicu a week in the local hospital wasn't that bad. anyway yes its all cleared up and he's fine now. i love my cuddly little man!

Girlmom - I totally get what you're saying. Charlie is 4 1/2 months old and he still doesn't seem like a boy. He just looks like one of my babies in blue lol I wonder when that's going to change?

I found the baby's heartbeat with our Doppler tonight, ladies! 11w 4d and that little thumper is going strong <3 We have our first midwife's appointment tomorrow and I'm so excited about it.
We also got Honor a little "I'm a big sister t-shirt" and took a bunch of pics of us and the kids out on a walk at the new house. Some of the pics show the shirt, so we are about to post all of that on Facebook and see who notices ;)
I'm feeling really torn on finding out gender and I'm seriously considering letting the tech put the gender in an envelope so DH can know and I won't. I'm worried it will drive me crazy knowing he knows... but to avoid GD... Could you gals do that?
