Taytum I'll let you know why I will always encourage the blood tests. I would first like to say that I would never reject a baby based on disabilities. This is my DS2 story:) I got the anatomy ultrasound finished and no abnormality was picked up. Completely normal. I got the quad screening done and my baby tested positive for spina bifida. The doctors told me this could be a false positive. After a very long in depth ultrasound, it was proven to be a false positive however it was a red flag that something else was wrong. My placenta wasn't working properly and my baby had IUGR. We were now considered high risk and had to go for ultrasounds and tests all the time. At 34 weeks he not only stopped growing but started to lose weight in the womb. So they induced me.
After 11 days in the nicu he came home and is now almost 8 years old.
I would hate to think what might have happened if I didn't have that false positive...that showed something was wrong...because like I said, the anatomy ultrasound did not pick it up, and no one would have known.
So that's just my 2 cents:)

I just made an appt for a private scan on the 21st!! I'll be 7+1 all going well! I don't know if I'm nervous or excited!! Still having those heavy AF cramp pains, I hate being anxious over them. I feel super bloated too! Serious lack of CM compared to the boys pregnancies which makes me a little nervous. Nervous Nelly over here!!! Come on the 21st, the longest 2.5 weeks of my life!!
Yay for booking in your scan hopper [emoji4] I will be 7+3 (I think) when I have mine done. We can wait together lol
