LaVieEnRose - I will be thinking of you, hopefully it will stick. It is spooky that the same thing happened 2 years ago.
Girliedreamz - I would attempt in your shoes - leave it in the hands of fate - good luck :)
Willowsgirl - I must be mad as I love the exercise. Like FitBlonde, this is my time, this is when I allow any thoughts to come into my mind without judgement, no matter how martha they may be lol!! My DH isnt too happy though as I get up so early to do it during the week and then at the weekend he thinks I should spend more time with him (at the weekend literally I am out for an hours aerobics class on saturday and an hour on the cross trainer on sunday, he really needs to get over it....)
As for me, well I STILL have no joy on the medication front, I was at the doctor yesterday, he looked about 15, had never heard of Provera, had to look it up on the computer, then he said he couldnt understand why I would want to take that to bring on a period or how it could help me ovulate....I was very insistent and gave him as much knowledge as I could, he left the room to consult a colleague for 10 mins, came back and said they hadnt heard of it either! I said I was not above buying it illegally I was desperate to TTC, I am already 35 and dont want to waste any more time in my fertile years. He said he would send me for blood tests to check my hormone levels, iron levels, thyroid etc. So thats on 8th April and the results take 4 working days. But I will still be here with you ladies cheering you on.

I am out of march but still undecided on wheather to go for april or not. I think it depends a bit on my cycle. Since I have been bleeding for almost a week I don't know if that should be considered Af or how cycle is going. I am planning on adding in exercise and since exercise during only 2 weeks might sway blue I think maybe I should skip april? Also, O in about 1-2 weeks would be baby right at christmas/new years week.
Steph - what a bad luck with the doctors! Hope he gets some more time to get info about Provera until you go there in april and that you get the prescription!
Oh, one more thing I could REALLY need some advice about - Vitex! It screwed up my cycle this time (1st time using it, AF to O) and I have been spotting from 7-8 dpo to now (AF supposed to start today). Should I drop it or continue and hope it gets better?! How important is it for the sway? If recommendation is to continue I must start today.

Stephk - grrrrr….it can be so frustrating with drs! After I had the twins, i also had a pretty severe PPH and had no milk. I wanted to breastfeed badly and i went to dr after dr to try to get Motillium and i Got the same responses you're getting about provera -never heard of it, you can't have it for that..blah blah blah!! Its so annoying when you know more than the drs seem to! :hair:
Hopefully you'll get some better news soon. xx

Vitex does have the potential to mess up your cycles. You just dont know whether you are one of those people until you take it. It is not vital for a sway so dont feel like you have to include it unless you are set on taking it.
-
Stephk, how frustrating! I hate when drs are clueless...which happens all too often IME. I studied Pharmacy and almost went to med school and despite knowing my background many drs aren't interested in hearing my suggestions, ugh. I rarely find it useful to consult a dr and wish I could prescribe to myself. I do think blood work can only help shed light on your situation, though.
I feel like Vitex might be preventing O, as well as making my cervix hard, low, and closed. I stopped taking it for 2 days bc I ran out, my temp dropped and cervix became SHOW, then I started taking it again and infertile cervix and temp up a bit, wtf. So I'm not going to take it today. It seems I am just Oing later and later every month since swaying, I hate it! I was so hoping to have my DD if I conceived fall on my late husband's bday (Dec 16th), instead it will fall on Xmas if I don't O very soon. :(
-
oh maiden, that sucks :( wow vitex really is messing with a lot of people. Although your due date could be christmas week and you could still potentially give birth on 16th december?
I am surprised doctors wont listen to you given your background. I am not surprised they dont listen to me as I dont have the qualifications to back up what I am saying. This one must have been straight out of medical school so you would think he would be more helpful....oh well i am glad to be getting the blood test at least it will shed some light on the situation!

Hi Ladies!
LaVieEnRose - I am thinking about you, and really hoping that bean sticks. I too had a friend that bleed with 2 pregnancies (clots and everything).
GirlieDreamz - I would also attempt, I have felt for me some months were better than others and I think you always feel like you could have done more.
Stephk - That is just unbelievable that the doctors have no clue. How awful to keep playing this waiting game!
Marika - sorry you are out for March :( I would add in exercise starting with the next O, that way you get a full month. At least that is what Atomic said when I asked.
On another note... I got a BFP yesterday at 11 dpo. :) Still very early, I know. I went in and had blood work and the hcg was 40, which my doctor felt was good considering I was still 3 days early, I think I o'd on cd 16. I go back on Monday for more blood work and just cross my fingers it has doubled!!! I took another test this am and it was just a hair darker. I will keep taking them through the weekend to compare.
-
fantastic news b'smommy congrats!! Yay for more BFPs!!
-
steph, I'm sorry that sucks that he couldn't just write it. Did he suggest an alternative? Besides from the blood work?
b'smommy, that is so exciting, congrats!!
-
no he didnt suggest an alternative, i dont think he really knew about this area of medicine... he kept saying that my period might come soon (like he was hoping it would so I would go away). He said that once we had blood tests then we would know whether I needed to see a gynacologist.
willing to see what the blood test shows.
