Please help! I need some at home remedies for ALL DAY nausea!
Oh mydream, still? That has been me in the past but this one has eased up (or the zofran helped it ease up) earlier this time. Just in the past few weeks, esp after I eat, I have been chewing cinnimon gum. It was the last thing I wanted but I gave it a try cause I had no jolly ranchers and it really helped! It may not work with worse nausea but worth a try? I think it gets the stomach acids working, as I feel better when I am in the throws of it when I am actually eating, not before, not after...alas the 20 pound weight gain, ugh!! People don't believe me that I have been so sick as Im so fat lol!!!
I still kinda feel poopy on and off each day but today is the first day without meds and I feel about the same!
Also, I am taking a prescription antacid as I really thought that may be attributing to the nausea, and I feel it has helped a lot! I think it has a lot to do with the digestion being slowed right down somehow!!
does anyone think the babys heart rate can tell the sex of the baby? x
I don't think there's anything to the heart rate old wive's tale personally... my babies have always been all over depending on if they're sleeping or active, etc. This little one has a nice relaxed heart rate, so I'd like to hope, but I know from the other 5 that it doesn't make a difference!!
iv convinced my self im having another baby girl lol x
Hi ladies - I'm still here, just not posting very often but checking up on new BFPs and everyone's progress!
Bub is moving - a LOT - I am constantly feeling tiny kicks and punches, it's lovely!
No more morning sickness - just can't eat eggs (they make me gag) and I have no appetite for anything else. Still gaining weight on target though.. I eating a ton of greek yogurt and whole milk.
I found out that I missed the testing window for the nuchal translucency testing ultrasound, and we opted not to do the later test (blood draw) because the accuracy on that test is lower, and if they found something I wouldn't opt for amnio because of the risks. So we are going blind and hoping everything is ok... I keep telling myself that prenatal testing has only been around for the past 15-20 years or so, and there have been billions of women who have had healthy children without the help of any testing! I am nervous, esp. since I already have one special-needs child - autism, which they can't test for anyway, but still - I don't know what I will do if this one has special needs too. So I am having to dig deep and go on faith that everything is going to be ok.
Find out the gender on Sept 12th - counting down the days, can't wait! I have a deep-down gut feeling that it's a girl but I don't want to be wrong, so I'm telling everyone (and trying to convince myself) that it's a boy :)
Kiesse, Congrats on the sweet little Prince, he will be HANDSOME! :diaper:
Try sucking on old fashioned lemon drops! Those did help me.
Also try lemonade! I think that Minutemaid with the real lemons is the best! Have you tried Saltines? I hope you find something to help you soon! I'm with ya though, it's ICKY, why won't it subside yet!? I in fact feel sicker! According to my calculations I'm 14 weeks and turn 15 weeks Tues.
Hi everyone, some of you will remember me, others won't. I haven't been on here for a long time. But I had my 20 week scan today so thought I'd pop in and tell you the results and post my sway, for those that are interested.
Well, it's a GIRL!:running:All that hard work paid off! I'm very excited but it all kind of feels surreal still. Hope you are all going well with your pregnancies. Much love x
aw thank you for looking :) yeah iv had 100% boy guesses on it but as we have 3 girls already we are just convinced it be our 4th girl lol x
Yay Lala. Great news!!! Congrats!
Congrats on your girl Lala!
Congrats Lala! Great news! :)
Hi, Ribbons! Whatever you decide about the prenatal tests, don't do the amnio! I lost a healthy baby to amnio. You can still try the Maternity21, which is very accurate, if you will.
im due jan9th xxxx
Congratulations Lala !!!http://www.picgifs.com/glitter-graph...gns-881549.gif
I am 17 weeks today, my due date is January 30th (My birthday!) I have C-sections, so I get to choose if I want to have it on the 25th or 29th.....kind of fun :) My nausea is almost gone, and I am starting to get anxious about our U/S in 2 weeks. My head says a boy makes sense, we have more boy toys/clothes and the baby will be closer in age to our 5 year old. My heart says a girl would be awesome, we have a daughter who will be 11 when the baby is born, and she doesn't like being the only daughter :( With our other children we didn't find out the sex until they were born, so I don't know why I can't even wait until 19 weeks to find out if this is a boy or a girl! I am so impatient!!!!! I am new to this site, but am excited to be a part of it
Thanks pink carol, I definitely won't do amnio. Unfortunately, Maternity21 isn't available where I am (at least that is what two doctors have told me) and I opted not to get the regular blood test, b/c it isn't as accurate as I would like - and if they did find something, they would want to do an amnio. And what if it turns out to be nothing? Not going down that road. So, no testing for me.
Congratulations on your girl, she will be well taken care of by her Big Brothers! All part of God's plan :)
hi i feel the same my scan aint till im 21 weeks tho :( so i still got a little while to go im due 29th jan 2013.. i have 3 girls already a little girl will be nice as i have all girl stuff as i have a 6 month old baby so if its a girl she can have most of my little one stuff... but then i would love a boy as there's no boys in my partners side in 25 years so that be really nice and il love to have a boy :)... iv got 100% boy guesses on my scan but i dont want to get my hopes up lol.but either way the baby will be loved and we will be happy as we wasnt planning on having any more just yet hehe... ( my family dont even no and im nearly 18 weeks gone :s i just dont no how to tell them im having another one before my baby turns 1 ) x
I just saw your news Lala!! Absolutely thrilled for you.
An update on the Maternit21 test: After a lot of back-and-forth with my OB and Sequenom (the company who administers the test), I finally got an OK to take it! Sequenom is shipping the kit info to my OB and I will pay Sequenom directly for my test. I think the cutoff is 21 weeks, I'll be 20 weeks by the time I get blood drawn. A little late in the game... but better late than never right? It will be good to have the peace of mind, although I'm sure that everything will be fine. I didn't know that they also can see the gender with that test!! Of course, since my U/S is in two weeks, and the test takes two weeks to get results back, it won't really tell me anything I don't already know :)
:DD:I decided I couldn't wait any longer! I bumped up my U/S to tomorrow, I will be 18 weeks, 2 days instead of 19 weeks. I have my fingers crossed we are able to see what we need to see! I still would like this baby to be a girl, but I am appreciating my boys a little more every day. If it is a boy, the hardest part will be telling my 10 year old. She loves her brothers, but really wants a sister :DD:. Wish me luck, fingers crossed! And don't worry about your family, their job is to love any baby, regardless of sex, right? My first 2 were 15 months apart and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I realized how much I was capable of, I survived, you will do great!
hi how did the scan go? and was the :DD: saying you think im having a girl? i hope your scan went well... yeah of course baby will be loved no matter what the sex :) dont think my family would mind lol its just as i habe a 6 month all ready they might be a bit judge mental so i think thats what scares me the most lol x
http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ultr...ub-thanks.html can you guess on my scan please thanks
I would say boy based on the nub, the angle and the end look boyish! My scan went well, I am having another boy but I am OK with it at this point. I am sure there will be days! When will you find out for sure? Can't wait to hear!
I am glad I found out, the first day was the most emotional one, especially for 2 of the kids :( Now I am looking forward to making plans and getting things in place. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you, can't wait to hear!
ahh bless them yeah my 5 year old keeps saying im having a boy this time as all us girls are to many and daddy is the only boy bless her. ( she said girl with my 6mth old baby and was right so be interesting to see if shes right again hehe) yeah i cant wait to get stuff for baby i aint brought anything yet hehe im 19 weeks and my family don't even no yet . thank you and i will be posting on here as soon as i no :D x x
I am maybe going to find out on Thursday what I'm having, so it's good to hear you say you're glad you found out...I think I am leaning that direction just for the kids' sake. Could you look at my nub shot and see what you think? (LInk is in my sig) I would greatly appreciate anyone's opinion! Thanks!
