Fiore, what time are you testing? I usually test between 10-11am and between 2:30-6pm. I find it's more important to do the afternoon test as that's when the surge usually happens. It's also good to limit your fluid intake for 2 hours before testing.

Thanks ladies .
Since it's day 20 and I typically ovulate around now, I've been testing once during the 10 am hour, once in the 2 pm hour, and once in the 8 pm hour. It's all about the same, some days were lighter and the ones from the past 3 days being a little darker, but not quite there.
This morning I got a good temperature dip in the 160s, and that is testing the same time each morning, the same amount of sleep/sleep movement at night, and I actually dressed warmer last night. With the temp dip I was expecting some dark lines today but nope..nothing.
I hold my pee and not drink for 4 hours before the 2 pm hour test.
I even have more ewcm going on.
It's got to be close, right ?
Good thing this is my testing cycle ! May is when we want to ttc for real.
Will my vitamins/supplements interfere by any chance ? Or a small cup of coffee /caffine ?
edit to add : Would breast feeding make my hormones more difficult to pick up on these tests ? With my chemical about a month ago, I kept getting squinter faint positives and only the digital picked it up very good, that was 8 days after my period was late.

I've had months where I got a crystal clear O pattern with my temps, but no dark positive OPK. Do you normally have an ovulation dip around day 20? If so I'd trust the dip over the stupid plastic sticks. lol

Fiore - I'm sorry I dont' have advice for you, but that must be so frustrating! I'm on a test cycle, too. I'd definitely trust your chart more than the sticks.

I don't think breast feeding can affect an OPK, but it can affect ovulation. Many women don't ovulate at all while they are still BFing, many others not regularly, it's a "lucky" few of us that get stuck with AF every month during lol (I am one of those). Maybe you are gearing up and not actually ovulating. Are you seeing the temp shift or is this your first month temping?
From what your saying about your chemical and the late positive test, I have to wonder if you didn't ovulate later than you think.
ETA: If you're using Wonderflo pregnancy tests as well, they often have a faint line once dry. :)

Thanks you two ! :-)
My periods have gone back to normal after dd2. They came back in December, 6-8 days long , heavy for half, then medium, then light . After dd1, they were only 3-4 days and super light , the cycle days were short. But now they are long again .
When I ttc dd2, I did notice a temp dip , a few days before cd 20, but that month my cycle was shorter , so I ovulated sooner . With her she measured 1 week later than the original edd at her first u/s though .
My app said tomorrow is my peak day, I had to wear a pad today for a lot of ewcm .
I used about 4-5 different pregnancy tests with my chemical and they all had the same results .
The line on my test tonight was much , much lighter than yesterday .
Gosh, all my pre-ovulation pains better be good for something . Lol
I remember getting the pre-ovulation stuff in October and November but didn't start bleeding until December .
Our bodies amaze me sometimes !

well if it's getting light now, and you had a dip, and you have copious EWCM, I'd call yesterday positive, worse that can happen is you get laid, right? lol If your temps don't confirm you can always keep testing. That's why I love the wonderflo OPKs, so cheap.

Lol thanks . That's what I'm starting to think ! We really want a January\februay baby so we dtd covered last night . Gaaah that was hard self control !
Will digital help confirm it better by any chance ?

Well, good news. I just checked my ph levels and it's at a 7-8, maybe more on the 8 side I think . Yesterday and the days before were reading 4 -5 . So , something is happening . I think I just have bad luck with pee sicks apparently ! I feel better.

I'm cheap, so I've never tried a digital. I don't know much about pH either, but I think I recall Atomic saying fertile CM is more alkaline so I think it jumping to 7-8 is a great sign.
I started Clomid today, I'm happy to report no side effects :D I was worried about that because I've never taken it before.
