Phew!! You aren't kidding! I thought people lied when they said first time moms might push for a while. No lie! [emoji23]

Congrats Taytum!! I'm so happy that you have had your little boy! I bet it was amazing waiting to find out the gender. Try to take everything in and don't rush it all, those newborn moments go so quick (although at the time it feels like forever and like it will never end).
Congrats Taytum!! Glad you labor was short sorry about the crazy pushing though. If you don't have epi you know that 10 is not a magic number and docs had you pushing even though you weren't ready. My first was in hossy. Out in 2 pushes. Of course the doc wasn't there and nurse had the nerve to shut my legs and tell me not to push. I pant breathed for my life for two cntx. Lol. If you can feel your body and wait for the actual urge to push it will be easier. Just info for the next time:)
You hit it on the head purple! Trying so hard not to rush a single second of it. I love this little man so, so much. Breastfeeding had been difficult, but I used a shield today and he latched immediately and stayed on for 15 mins! I was so happy! First night home last night was hard but today has gotten easier and my BFF who had a little girl in Feb is coming over so I'm happy to see her and DH is here. So blessed to begin this journey! Just try to get babe to open mouth very wide to get a good latch. And 15 min. Is great. My super nursers never nursed for long so def. Don't go by anyone's set time limit:) glad you have support home w you :) makes the days easier. Hope your getting some rest and not staying up staring at babe like I always do lol big mommy no no.
Perfect! I'm trying to let him go on one side for as long as he wants, then wake him up again and switch. He won't go as long, but then I'll try to start on that one the next time.
And yes!! I keep trying to remind myself not to just stare at him, but it is hard. I go to bed at 9 and try to keep sleeping as much as I can until 7, then get up. Lots of learning!
Congrats, Taytum!
