Hehe. Any excuse for pizza is a valid excuse IMO... ;)
Speaking of food though... I'm starting to pile on weight.. I'm so grossed out by myself. I'm not huge (yet..) but it takes nothing for me to put on a kilo these days. Ew. Hope I'm not a 10 tonner by the time I'm 40weeks... :o
I feel the same. My tummy muscles gave in a couple of weeks ago so although my bump is still so low and small my upper belly is rounded like I'm 7 months gone! I've definitely been putting on weight fast but then being on the LE diet beforehand has probably altered our fat store systems and metabolism. Fingers crossed we don't need to waddle when we're full term! :)
Oh I'm sorry it's troubling you, I wish we could all choose too. And at least be supported and understood. My husband was cooperative with our sway but didn't hesitate to call me crazy when I was fretting about things... I do hope you feel better soon. At least HT is becoming a more accessible option these days. Enjoy the pizza! Yum. :)
Aww hoping and weezie I am so sorry about you ladies not getting your desired gender but happy that they are both healthy. I was so scared when they told me that something may be wrong with my little girl. Thankfully everything worked out but it could have gone in a very different direction. I know that you both will make great moms to your new little men and they will bring you loads of love and blessings! With that being said take the time to deal with those feelings and know that everything will be ok.
Any babies having hiccups? Hudson has hiccups about 3 times a day! So neat to watch hehe
Morning ladies just checking in - we had our 20 week scan today at 20+4 and all was good - all healthy and he/she had its legs and ankle firmly crossed so no gender clues at all which was good as we have decided not to find out :-)
Great to hear everything is going well mum23.
Second scan pics as requested (they didn't do a nub shot). Cute profile eh? :)

So cute, weezie! @cvd-yes, Maggie gets the hiccups every single day!
Cvd my son had them a lot in utero and also when he was born but he also developed bad reflux early on. I can't say that Joelle has had them as much. But then again maybe I have just been too busy to notice them or am mistaking them for other activity, lol. Sorry to hear about your rental unit :-(
aw baby weezie is really cute, lovely shot of his face.
glad all's well mum23, do you have any shots to share? as exciting as gender scans are i much prefer the pics of the babes than their potty shots!
Hi all. I have been awake half the night with my calf muscle going into cramp. It still feels really tight and that one wrong move will cause it to cramp again. I have never had this before and was wondering if anyone knows the causes or cures bar jumping out of bed to stretch it
that is all you need to do is STAND ON IT!
I have had that happen w/ 1st 2 pregos adn used to lay in bed rubbing it and then found out all you have to do is jump out of bed adn stand on it. gone-
I think it has to do w/ potassium or some other def. I forget which one.
looked- says lack of water, potassium, mag, and calcium
I must look into some coconut water so. Cos I am definitely not lacking in calcium magnesium or water intake. It is the first time I have had one and it must have been really strong as my right calf is still tender nearly 8hrs later. Or maybe I over stretched it
Pearl next tiem it happens really try to stand on it I mean literally jump out of bed as soon as it hits:) Coconut water does have tons of potassium so very good to drink anyways:)
Hi Pearl,
I suffered from leg cramps in first two pregnancies on and off...they are horrendous and tend to come on at night when you go to bed and want to sleep. In order to avoid them in this pregnancy I am taking 300mg of mag every evening and so far so good. That's what my doctor recommended anyway. Three or so weeks then before due date you are supposed to stop as mag as it can interfere with contractions. I am having a planned c section so I will be taking it right up to my c section date! Hope you get some relief soon!
Thanks ladies. I was cramp free last night so I hope it was a one off thing
Hi CVD,
I am having a planned one because I had one with the other two boys too. I tried both times to give birth naturally but both times in labour they didn't move into the birth canal. All those hours of contractions for nothing! So this time around my OB said I should go for a planned which suits me. I personally never have to experience a contraction again (and the epidural didn't work both times so I have no pain relief fall back!). Will be meeting the head doc in the hospital in a few weeks to get a date. I am guessing maybe a week or two before due date of the 9th July...so maybe a june baby! I personally don't find c sections a walk in the park either, but it is the way it is.
Gosh less than 53 days till yours...that's no time away. I must say I am dreading the last 3 months of pregnancy! I am small so I get a massive tummy by the end of it! Hope you are keeping well and not too stressed about your rental issue.
Hi everyone! Sorry, I've been away from the boards for awhile. My mom was very sick, then passed away. I started having contractions and have been on bedrest. Finally got over all that stress and went on a mini vacation. I am so glad to be home! I have missed so much on here and I have a bunch of pages to read!
I'm going in for an ultrasound today due to my extra large uterus size. My family has joked that we are going to find out it is twin boys. That would be quite a shocker. I'm pretty confident that we are just having a big baby. He was almost 1/2 a pound bigger than expected at my 21 week scan and I highly doubt that there could have been another big baby hiding in there undetected.
On a side note has anyone else had children 6+ years apart? I'm wondering what I should expect when it comes to the delivery. My first was awful afterwards with lots of stitches and it took a long time to heal, but the other two were fine, but I had 3 deliveries in 5 years. I'm sure this baby is going to be bigger (my last was 8 lb 15.3 oz and short 19.5 in.). My MIL said it would be more like my first because it has been so long but I'm hoping that is not true and she is only saying it because she doesn't like me. Does anyone have any experience with this and know what I should expect?
Hey Praying! Feeling ok, not liking the third trimester AT ALL, my fatigue is back in full swing, soo uncomfortable already and I am having crazy mood swings - I go from being happy to RAGING with anger in about 3 seconds lol. Yes only 50 days now! Can't wait, I am sooo excited! How are you feeling?? How's things going?
Ah yes that's the same issue that I had with my first and landed me with a c-section. Sorry you couldn't have that natural birth either time :( I had the choice for Hudson but chose to go ahead with the c-section again. Getting your date will be so exciting! Let us know once you do :)
Hi I had 4.5 years between 2 and 3 and it was a lot quicker than number 1. I think once you have hd a baby that's it - it won't ever be as bad as the first I.e crowning of head etc because in my experience once that's stretched it's never quite the same!!! Ds1 took 36 hours but didn't hurt loads until last hour then I had re occurring nightmares about the crowning o the head lol!!! Ds2 long story but 4-6 cm dilated for 4 weeks but when he was born it was in 2 hours. It hurt more because he was back to back and 10lb but lot quicker. Ds3 had much more intense pain but was relatively quick. Nothing has compared to the first. Ignore your MIL - it's the head size and shoulder size that matters the most xx good luck at your scan - let us know how you get on x
CVD so sorry you are feeling tired etc again xx I don't post much now as still really down but I still lurk!!! 50 days will be gone in a flash x
You know cvd I am feeling pretty blah myself in the 3rd tri. I am certainly more cranky these days and every little thing is getting on my nerves. Baby is getting pretty heavy and it is making me ache in places I forgot I had, lol. I am just passing the time by reading up on breastfeeding since the first time was an epic fail! I really like learning about things so it keeps me calm and relaxed to read. I am 29 weeks this week so only 11 weeks to go for me.
Excitement for me this week: Glucose screening on Wednesday, Pediatrician Consult on Wednesday, and Baby Care Class on Thursday!
I just got back from my ultrasound. They didn't give us any pictures though because we just had one 6 weeks ago. The baby is big weighing in at over 3lbs already, but looks very healthy. I on the other hand have a gall bladder that is acting up so I have to cut as much fat and fried foods out of my diet as possible. I love salads and we don't eat much red meat and I fry nothing so it shouldn't be too hard I just need to avoid eating out. The doctor has already mentioned my weight loss though so I wonder what watching what I eat is going to do because up until now I have ate whatever I wanted and still managed to lose 6lbs.
