TP I think my bump this time looks similar to how I was with both my boys so don't read anything into bump shape. I got told by so many people I was having a girl with DS1 because of how I was carrying him and boy were they wrong. I carried DS2 the exact same way.
Me too ABC!!! I'm so freaking excited! I can't wait to meet my bundle whether it's blue or pink. And our scan is 8 days away so I'm super excited to see bubba on the screen and just please God see that everything is ok!Quote:

GD is still lurking as always. I am hoping it goes away at least for a little while. Doesnt help that I went shopping yesterday and everywhere I turned was a baby/toddler girl. One was in this rainbow tutu outfit and I nearly turned into a puddle. This little guy has been beating me up like crazy. I dont think either of my others were this active so early on. I keep telling him to enjoy the room while he can.
I would definitely consider adoption of a specific gender. I dont think its absurd and Id quite frankly not be so nice to anyone who wanted to say different. You are doing a great thing giving a child a home no matter what. I know here in North Carolina, there are religious agencies so I dont think we would get picked by them. However, if you adopt from the state its much less expensive or even free.
I'm sorry the GD is so bad Surrounded. Mine got stoked today hardcore.
The good news: we're fostering a (boy) dog!
The GD news: one of the rescue workers said she was an old nurse in the maternity ward and was always 99% right and said I'm having a girl. "Oh, definitely having a girl." I actually kept ignoring her and she KEPT pushing the topic and kept very obviously looking at my butt. I said, "Are you looking at my butt?" And she said, "Yeah, girls always sit lower and make your butt wide. Boys carry high."
I literally turned and said, "My butt hasn't changed size at all this pregnancy" and she went, "Oh, it's ALWAYS that size?"
What nerve, am I right? As if the GD wasn't bad enough from her comments, but a dig at my big butt -- which doesn't bother me as much if only because it's been DH's pride and joy lolol. But man... here I thought fostering could help how I've been feeling, and now I feel even worse.

Tp that's ridiculous! I can't believe someone would think it's ok to talk to a stranger about their but! She must have some screws loose and I'd be surprised if she ever guessed a gender correctly.
Sounds like the type that got it right once and is living in the glory of that one correct guess telling people they're always right.

Thank you all SO much. I am so thankful for all of you -- all I could think was, "I need to get home and rant about this."
HER take? "I knew I was carrying a boy first because he was high, then knew I was having a girl next because I carried low, and I was right," when I pushed. I pointed out that would be intuition, just coincidence with the carrying and that her take doesn't even follow the Old Wives Tales, proving how BOTH are just coincidences at times. She shrugged and said, "I'm correct 99% of the time." I pointed out that EVERYONE thought my first was a boy, especially because of how I carried (DD was not there, as well, so she had no idea I had any other kids), and she wasn't and she went, "Hm." I so agree with you simkan -- she really struck me as a, "I was right with myself and for some other people, so I'm overinflating my accuracy." Like, definition of confirmation bias. I don't want to seem super rude here, but she was a sort of "trashy" persona and had the most awful smoker's voice... which doesn't mean anything, I just was as put off by HOW she was saying stuff as WHAT she was saying, lol, and I imagine it impacted how someone would TELL A WOMAN HER BUTT WAS BIG. If a MAN had done it, right? That's full on sexual harassment. So why did she think she could tell it to someone she JUST met. And lol, I did think of how my own dear SIL's hips and butt got PAINFULLY wide with her last -- a boy. It literally looked uncomfortable even from an outside perspective!
If I was less tired I would have pointed out, "Thanks bitch, I have SPD from fucking 10 pregnancies, so my hips are wide because THEY ARE DAMAGED." But I have had wide hips since puberty! Guess now they're meaning I was only going to have girls? Ugh. Eff her.
Her attitude reminds me of the people who would argue with me about DD though -- the, "No, you're having a boy, I'm always right" strangers (and my old boss) who always insisted DD was going to be a boy because of x, y and z (how I carried, how my hair looked, how I seemed, etc.). So by that logic, I COULD think, "Maybe that DOES mean I'm just the opposite of what people peg and this is a boy." But I'm just done hoping. I feel like she WAS right and that's why it slowly made me more upset -- and I know I felt more upset as I drove home too because even though I'm happy I have this distraction of helping this dog and he seems sweet so far, it just hit home how much I miss MY dog and I nearly cried.
If there's one boy OWT I've got this pregnancy, it's the fact that I DIDN'T fly off the handle from these comments or end up crying home. Lol, yet again I marvel at how I am emotionally lately. But even then, my therapist had thought boys OWT = mood swings based on her own pregnancy, so even that means nothing :P
Everyone always guesses boy for me this pregnancy from the way I’m carrying! she’s been triple confirmed as a girl :p
TP people just talk sh!t. That's about all I have to say on that lol
