Yes - but I read once that being cold may be due to less testosterone and I've clung on to that hope!!
Really? That's nice to hear!
Here's today:
7am: coffee
12pm: took the kids out for lunch. I managed to have only a Diet Coke and 6 of ds3's fries, though the deep fried mozzarella sticks on the menu were calling my name.... When I got home I had rice with plain yogurt and lemon juice and 2 digestive biscuits and some Sour Patch Kids for dessert
5:30pm: leftover homemade vegetarian lasagna, a few carrot sticks dipped in hummus, orange sherbet, 2 digestive biscuits
9pm: green grapes, Mike & Ike candies
My sodium today was right at the limit, mostly due to those fries I had. I was fine for protein as long as I don't count the fruit and veggies (if I include everything I ate it came to 44g, but 8g of that was from fruit and veggies) . My calories were a little low at 1688, but I don't mind being a little low for a few days since O is imminent.
I am cold all the time but I have always been like that and now I know my testosterone is completely average!!
I used to always be cold until I had children and now I'm warmer blooded - or just get less opportunity to sit on my arse and do nothing!!
I'm having a tough time of the diet right now - my mum and sister are staying so it's REALLY hard to do the diet and avoid foods my mum keeps buying! They don't know I'm swaying.
I arrived home on Tues to find her with a roast chicken already in the oven - roast potatoes, the lot. At very least she used my low sodium salt and gravy... (it was the most delicious meal I've eaten in ages, I have to say, but still felt guilty)
Yesterday I made my family low sodium pitta bread+philadelphia for lunch, then we had homemade tomato soup for tea with basil, red pepper, and an onion (between the 4 of us).... so not completely pink friendly, but feasible!
Today she buys ham and rolls (for sandwiches) and salty kettle chips! I managed to dodge that one, unlike the roast meal. I had a microwavable frozen rice for lunch, and not had tea yet.
I'm eating a fair bit of milk chocolate at the moment too. I'm not convinced it sways blue given the number of sugar fiends who have DDs, and the sugar rush helps. I know cake is probably better for a sway than chocolate, but we don't have any at the moment.
That's tough, rainbow - I've had at least a few days like that every cycle - we're either visiting with family or have guests staying with us. You just have to do the best you can. I try to make meal suggestions and act on it before anyone else has a chance to start cooking something meaty. For example, I suggest we BBQ burgers and make sure to buy veggie burgers too. Or I offer to make a big pasta dinner for everyone and make sure it's girl-friendly, but make sausages or something on the side for everyone else. Good luck - a few days of cheating won't hurt your sway, so don't stress about it. I just had an entire week of cheating and I'm due to O any day now.
I completely agree with mocha, a few days won't spoil your sway, it's the overall picture that counts, don't stress!
Oh, and if you're going to be cheating anyway, make sure to enjoy it! I sure enjoyed my pizza and chicken fajitas on the weekend!
Today's food...
No breakfast
Lunch m and s rice caramel rice cake crisps, toast and jam
Snack mum's bread pudding (tiny bit!)
Dinner pasta with spinach, creme fraiche, wine, Parmesan, 2 meringues
My dad actually revealed today that he was pleased I had put on weight as he was starting to think I had an eating disorder, we've joked about this but for someone to actually say it is awful, it makes me think that must be what other people were thinking
