Hi, LolalnLove, I've just read your post and smiled) it's so cute!..I wanna share some secrets too)
In "stop-list" for women who are dreaming about the girl, get olives, bacon, salami, other sausages and meat delicacies, fried meat, fish salmon species, shrimps, soft cheese, potatoes, bananas, bread and buns. Conversely, in the diet should include foods rich in calcium and magnesium.
In addition to the above dairy products, it soybean products (for example, tofu), greens (especially salads with small leaves, arugula, spinach, peas, lentils, beans and other legumes, oatmeal, whole grain breads and cereals, cashew nuts, broccoli, citrus....And the simple menu, researchers say, increases the chances of a double!!! So,good luck all of you))
Much of the above advice we are finding to be getting mixed results. I would follow LE Diet guidelines for TTC a girl.
I was very girl diet friendly. Under weight, never ate breakfast, huge coffee drinker, no cereals or meat or salt, loved loved loved icecream, cheeses, etc.
again, just to clarify we are finding the mineral diets are probably not working in the way that people believed at one time. I hate to see anyone dropping full fat dairy when you want a boy because it's so full of nutrients and the fat in dairy is excellent for fertility and sways blue.
When i conceived DD i ate a diet inspired by ayurveda. (I never felt that good!)
Small portions of food three times a day, never a full stomach. I ate all kind of vegetables and dairies, also meat once in a while. I drank lots of tea, always ate breakfast (a small portion of porridge) and had a small bowl with yoghurt and muesli before bedtime every night. I never ate sugar. (But i only had these eating habits for one or two month, in other words not that long at all).
I was also taking Agnus castus (Vitax) without knowing it swayed pink, i just wanted to get pregnant really quick after two miscarrige.
I did lose some weight, i took a lots of power walks, did yoga at home 2-3 times a week and went to a spin class also 2-3 times a week.
I've read that olive oil douche (washing with olive oil) is good for the "freshness" and the environment down there. I have done this for over two years now every single shower, i did it when i conceived DD and during the whole pregnancy.
-My DH is running and lifting weights 5 times a week and has a high body temperature thanks to that. He has done this for many many years now. (About 10y?) He loves diet soda, chocolate and eats a lots of dairies.
DD were night time BD, every single time. O-5, O-3, O-2, O-1 and on the O-day. Always finished with doggy style, orgasm for both of us (sorry!) and i was laying down in the bed for awhile afterwards. Never jump and dump. :)
-And i have always loved salty foods!
I do not recommend any oily type stuff in the VJ. Especially not when pregnant. The body makes its own "stuff" and no need to add oil down there. PLEASE do not put oil into your VJ when pregnant EVER, especially not as birth approaches (which can happen any time after 35 weeks so don't take chances). Risks of infection aside, the baby can aspirate small amounts of oil when being born and that could cause pneumonia and even death.
Not IN, not inside. :suprise: Just wash with it outside, and you don't just leave it there! Maybe douche was wrong word.. Sorry! Some swedish doctors are recommending olive oil to prevent a vaginal yeast infection. I have a few girl friends who also using olive oil in this way.
Both of my DDs were conceived in warm weather (spring and summertime), for both we had 14 days abstain, missionary position, with O, first was J&D second i spleeped without dropping the semen, I sleep always lying on my left side (old wives tail I think but didn't do it on purpose), I work a lot of hours during spring-summertime and always lose weight cause I skip meals, rarely if ever I eat breakfast, drink 2-3 coffees per day, I drink very small amount of water, don't like milk, cheese, yogurt, season my food generusly and with quite a lot of salt and I don't eat much protein in general...
Will do my very best to change all of the above as I know now from what I've read here that they may have played role for my girls :giggle:
I"ve seen at least one study that showed oil in and around the VJ causes yeast infections (and was true for me) so I personally don't recommend it.
Just thought I'd give my experiences with both my DDs. I got pregnant both times while I was dieting, doing a lot of cardio, and skipping breakfast. I was a huge Diet Coke and coffee drinker, and probably just wasn't in the best maternal health. We BD often (usually every other day if not every day) and I jumped and dumped every single time. I had no clue about swaying or anything like this when I got pregnant.
Whenever I've been on hormonal BC I have used olive oil or coconut oil as lube, often daily, as I can't use any storebought lubes. I have never had a YI while doing this, and other times I was on the pill but not having much sex or just not using oil, I have been prone to YIs. So if anything they seem to keep YIs away for me.
And that is absolutely fine. HOWEVER, I cannot stress strongly enough how that is a)not going to help anyone who is trying to get pregnant because sperm are not designed to swim through oil and b) it is an utterly TERRIBLE idea for anyone who is pregnant and especially anyone 35 weeks plus because if you give birth vaginally with oil in your birth canal it is extremely dangerous because the baby can aspirate on it.
I was only commenting in terms of YIs. :)
I know, I just have to be really super clear on stuff. :) The original poster had mentioned doing it during pregnancy and tons of people use oil as lube when TTC and it is a no-no on both fronts.
I agree, better to use your own CM when TTC over anything else. Over on FF ladies with plenty of EWCM ask about using PreSeed and it pains me to think of them diluting what evolution perfected.
:agree: totally!!
After reading "how we got our boys"
I realized how girl friend my life was when i concieved my DD
Me and dh were in night shifts in the month i concieved , i wake up at 3 pm go to work and i dont eat anything untill 7-8 pm
I eat lots of sweet , creams , cheesecakes , sometimes chicken
We dtd 3-4 days before O
I remember this clearly cuz it was the first month that i tried to concieved
Business.women, you have twins now?:-)
Mybc , nope
Hoping to have twin boys though
I didnt take any supps or anything just folic acid and vitamins
Good luck! :-)
What is KY?
KY jelly. IT's a kind of vaginal lubricant jelly. All lubricant jellies tend to sway pink except those sold as "sperm safe and conception friendly" - those sway blue. So some people have found they get girls using the KY (not that I am recommending it, just that it seems to possibly have worked for some people.)
Sorry I missed Lara's original question.
Getting pg too soon after a c-section is not safe and not recommended as a sway tactic. Might it sway a bit pink, perhaps, but I would never, ever, ever recommend it.
None of these things are guarantees and as nasgats points out would not be a surefire way to get a girl anyway.
I have two DDs. With DD1 I was working and had to be at work at 7am so I never ate breakfast and always had a very small lunch, usually one of those freezer meals. Since I was living by myself at the time I wasn't eating dinner much either, and if I did it was usually chicken nuggets or pizza. My DH (BF at the time) took hot showers and also didn't have much to eat as he worked nights and didn't eat breakfast and ate fast food for lunch with a soda and that was the only meal he would eat through the day. I also took hot showers and we DTD (I believe) 4 days before O and always used KY jelly. I was also drinking a lot of cranberry juice bc I had a infection.
With DD2 I was still not eating breakfast and was still eating lousy food for lunch. I was eating a pretty good dinner as DH was living with me then and I cooked dinner almost every night. Cant really remember what type of foods I cooked though. But I know there was always a meat and two sides. My first DD was 3 months old when I got pregnant with DD2 and I was breastfeeding, we DTD everyday after AF with a 5 day cut off, we used KY jelly and I did jump and dump. Looking back now and knowing all that I know, I can understand why I have two girls. Im hoping with hardcore swaying that I can get a boy next time
My recipe to making a baby girl:
All the magic potions like Vitex, SP, Chitosan, Clomid with a fair dose of Folic and Aspirin. Zyrtec and Rephresh before DTD. DH was on Cranberry and had Soy for a few weeks. Abstinence by exhaustion more than anything. A DH who's working long hours but on his butt all day so he put on a little bit of weight and had no interest in sex because he was too tired (low testosterone?). Very rare sex going on overall as we were both too tired (like once a month, maybe my body went whoa, maybe she doesn't have a permanent partner, pink it is!) - some DH's wouldn't agree to that arrangement though ;). DH also had sudafed before DTD. I also ate crap, empty carbs, food with not much nutritional value, 2 to 3 cans of diet coke a day, cup noodles, Continental pastas, awful diet! lol Other than that, missionary position, no big O for me. She was conceived on +OPK on a very dry month, which was unusual for me, perhaps because of the drugs. At the top of my head, that's what I can remember. It sounds like an unlikely recipe but in the end it worked :)
What a great thread. Thanks girls
Hi there. I'm new to this and very confused! Could you please advise me on wot food/drinks to have for ttc a girl please? I've been taking calcium&magnesium and no salt. I drink red wine 2-3 times a wk. my hubby wears tight boxers&has a very stressful job! Thank in advance :)
Hi again Essie - in my signature below is a link to "the Complete Index" which has tons of info on many different topics including our LE Diet which is a bit different than the old-fashioned sway diets.
Hi ladies I have a 5 year old DD. I also have a 7 year old DS and a 11 month old DS, only difference is I planned my two boys didn't sway any. My DD was a suprise, and only thing I know that was different is we Dtd once about 2 days before ovulation. Hoping and praying for another DD soon!
No, she is saying she had sex once 2 days before her cycle.
PLEASE don't get too caught up in the BD patterns. They really, really are no magic BD patterns!

Got it now!
I know what you mean Atomic :))
We get crazy after a few BFN :)))
I told you my friends who all have girls, they did like this ( 1 ON 1 OFF 1 ON 1 OFF and so on). But the diiiiettt made the difference. I am sure about this!
Yes I knew why you were asking My! I strongly recommend against anyone BD one day on, one day off for TTC a girl - even if you know 700 people who got girls that way! :)
Yup. And I'm sure not that doing that! Every 4 days for me :-)
