Its still hot here where we live yesterday was 31 degrees Celcius which is 87 degrees in Farenheight. So it is supposed to be cooling down shortly and i am expecting a winter baby, but i dont see it cooling down that much in the next 8 weeks!
Great news Gena :) im pretty sure my bub is LOA too by where I'm feeling kicks although she's a mover so anything is possible lol

I'm pretty positive my babe is LOP and I'm not happy about it...is there a reason all of my babies are posterior? I've never done much research into it.
I've noticed a bunch of night sweats like everyone else, so gross. I've also been extremely tired and swollen on and off which is a first for me. I am excited for this weekend to pass, I am ready for baby anytime after that although I'd like to hold out for next Thursday as my son has a field trip Wednesday, I'd be sad if he didn't get to go!
Apparently we are seeing a lot more posterior bubs because of our lifestyles. My midwife said because we spend less time on our hands and knees scrubbing floors and more time reclining in comfy arm chairs and sofas. The baby's back is the heavier side so it will fall that way depending on how we sit and lay during our pregnancy.Quote:

Cinss, that makes sense. I am on my hands and knees a ton though, cleaning the toys constantly! Haha. I did read though lop is better than rop so yippee! Maybe baby will turn during labor for me :-)
I hope your little one cooperates! I have tried twice now...and baby wants NOTHING to do with it :( I won't be trying again. But she is ROP at the moment, but there is not a pocket of fluid between her and the placenta, so even when she turns for a more profile-like shot, we couldn't see anything :(. I admit I am a bit disappointed. But it will just be a surprise what she looks like. She showed us girl parts. Lol. Little hussy!Quote:

Well the good news is, I hadn't progressed any since my last check. She offered to strip my membranes, but I declined because I actually don't want to go into labor unless I'm up there lol. They were full again today, like I figured they would be, so I'm crossing my fingers tomorrow is the day! Thanks ladies!

Had my check up today, still 3cm but 70% effaced now. C-section date is completely set, 4/11/13 @ 9:30am. :)

As of right now they are completely full still... So I doubt I'll have much luck in the morning :( and if I don't have the baby before Sunday, DH has to leave again! Ahh! I don't know what I'm going to do.
TT, what will they do if you go into labor before your cs date?

I was thinking the same thing about the moon! Of course my body must not have gotten the memo though lol. But that's ok with me ;) I wonder what they do if someone comes in labor when they're that full though? Anyways, glad you got your date booked!! So exciting!
Bummer about the hospital being so full! I had no clue there was a full moon, haha. I really hope they find room tomorrow for you!
No labor for me yet. I am hoping the unit is dead when I go in, I really want the birthing suite called the taj mahal. The whole labor and delivery was redone and this taj mahal room is a corner unit with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the river, it is soooo super duper nice!
I didn't either Rosie, I joked about it in my head since they were packed, then a friend mentioned the full moon. I had no clue lol. Oh my gosh, that suite sounds amazing!! We have nothing like that here! I hope you get it! I'll totally be jealous though lol ;)
Well I did get lucky, I'm at the hospital all hooked up :) baby should be here today!!

I'm pretty sure hotdogz is right :) from what I read online, the cervix is 4cm normally, but shortens in length as labor approaches. Basically the same thing as effacement I think! I could e wrong though...
And thanks everyone, this labor has been amazing and completely pain free! I'm just hanging out at 6cm in my room while DH runs a quick errand lol.

I had a random check last ob appt (she read notes wrong and thought I was 35 weeks with a transverse baby hence the check) and she said I was closed but shortening.. I was only 31 weeks though eek!!!
I bet mrshonyez is holding her little man! Exciting!
Thanks ladies!! He was born this afternoon after just under 4 hours of labor :) I felt nothing and it was amazing lol. He's huge... 8lbs 12.4oz 20 3/4"! Way bigger than my other two, and he was early! He's got a lot of rolls on him lol. I'll post pictures soon :)

Thanks!! I wish it was some awesome secret, but they just gave me an epidural and then broke my water, so it was easy peasy! My first two births were pretty traumatizing, so this was a nice change. And even though he's the biggest and I had a 2nd degree tear, I have very little pain now compared to before.

I love epis!!!! This one did cause me quite a bit of pain recovery wise..It was very bad in the beginning though.. constant pain on the left side of my tailbone, and like my whole left butt cheek.. SO strange. I still feel it at times when I lay down so I don't know if it's permanent or what.Quote:
