kasey - I had huge issues with weight loss while breastfeeding as well. I don't really have any advice, just offering sympathy! I think breastfeeding sways pink anyways, so I wouldn't worry as much about weight loss for swaying purposes in your case.
Finally O'd this month. I'm 5DPO and SO excited for AF to come, even though she'll be here over the 4th. I have longer cycles (I usually O CD21-23) and sometimes the waiting makes me so impatient. It's just gonna get worse when we're TTC! After this AF, there's only ONE more before we start TTC. I am so. excited.
I decided not to purchase a plan from Atomic and am going it alone. I have been taking supplements since the beginning of May and have a TON of CM now. I had a good amount before, but now it's like... a LOT. TMI sorry haha. I figured if we don't get our boy this time I'll buy a plan next time :) We want one of each- a boy and a girl- so if we get a girl first it's alright. Either way, we're buying a plan for sure next time to increase our odds. Looking at the LE diet and girl plan, I'm really NOT looking forward to swaying pink!!
I'm easing slowly into the diet and adding a couple different foods at a time. Luckily with the boy sway, you don't have to be on the diet as long before TTC. I'm a distance runner, so I've also dramatically reduced my miles and added more days of strength training. Since I can't run much now, I've been looking at jogging strollers online- it reminds me that I'll have a LO to run with as a result of abstaining now :)
As for supplements- I eat a teaspoon of royal jelly in the morning & before bed, and I take a prenatal, probiotic, lots of extra folic acid, green tea af-o, evening primrose oil af-o, vitamin c, vitamin d, iron every other day (stopping that after this bottle is done). H is also taking supplements as well as eating whatever I do since I make all the food :) He's taking fish oil, L-arginine, and zinc right now. We'll be adding CoQ10 soon.
Anyway, I am getting so pumped to start TTC. I'm readyyyyy!
Holy novel, batman!
I will definitely give it a try Babybeaublue. Really I am frustrated because I don't want to get pregnant with baby weight still on, and then have 20 lbs to lose after the next baby instead of the 10. Sigh. It is so frustrating when you do spin for an hour, 3 times a week, your butt hurts and you can barely walk and you don't lose one lb in a week.
The only thing is that low intensity steady state cardio is used to burn fat but hold on to muscle. If you don't have much muscle then go for it! Also try hiit it's hard going but u don't have to do it for as long as normal high intensity cardio.
kasey - I can second what BBB said about the working out on the empty stomach. I'm not sure how well it would work while BF, but I can say I wasn't losing weight on the diet and then when I switched to running early in the morning during my fasting period I started dropping weight relatively quickly.
LMAO I thought it was just my bike. I even bought a padded seat thinking it may help, it makes me feel better that spinning makes everyone's butt hurt. I've been doing 60+ minutes 5 days a week, before this last loss I was losing about a lb a week doing that just 2-3 times a week, yet now I've lost 0- nothing in 2 weeks of the 5 day... kind of defeating.
My temp also bizarrely rose today at CD9, I just stopped bleeding from my first AF after the loss and I did have some EWCm mixed with the spotting yesterday, but damn that's an early O if this temp shift holds. I was looking on the bright side thinking my cycles didn't get too messed up, apparently I jinxed it.
Hope you don't mind me asking unwirklich, but how long did it take your af to start again?
I lost 1.5 kg in about 8 days.
If I keep it this way, then I will loose too much weight for my hight...1.78(62kg currently)....Atomic said I should be under BMI 18.5, which means 58 kg...(my ideal weight).
Until August is a long way...
I worked out today on an empty stomach, we shall see if it works.
I've been working out in the morning which is when I'm fasting and I've put on weight :( Not sure where I am going wrong. I have a feeling it could be due to not having a proper AF this month so maybe after next month I will start to lose weight. I hope so anyway!!!
Does anyone else find it really, really challenging to work out on an empty stomach? I'm running, which is mostly mental anyway, but I am having suuuuuuuch a hard time if I don't have some blood sugar. The thing is that I need to be running in the morning but I wanted to be skipping breakfast, too. How do y'all make it through exercise if you haven't eaten?

Maybe just have something light to eat like some toast?
You don't need to run. It should be low intensity. My body fat was 16% but then I was lifting too.
It was almost right on time, 2 days late from my average 26 day cycle and the 2 extra days were in the LP. This last loss was early though, from the size of the TMI tissue that came out I'd say the baby had actually stopped developing before about 6.5 weeks when my bleeding started. :(
My first loss was later and missed, but I let things happen naturally, no D&C. Baby passed around week 8, didn't lose it until week 11 and my period was on time that cycle but with a late O and shorter LP.
My guess is how long it takes before you get your first AF depends on how high your hormone levels were when you actually MC. So an early loss or one that took forever like mine were equated to lower levels where as a D&C right away would probably take longer because levels are higher.
I always do my exercise in the AM after a glass of water and a cinnamon tablet, but if I find myself hungry right when I wake up, I'll mix fiber powder into the water, helps me push off breakfast..course as I said that's what I've done the last 2 weeks, empty stomach, cinnamon 60+ minutes spinng 5 days a week, haven't lost anything lol I'm off the diet though, I was concerned it may have contributed to my miscarriage, I've just been skipping breakfast, leaving lunch vegetarian and having a smaller meal at dinner, so my protein is still in limit and calories, but I'm not going low nutrient.
I haven't really gotten my appetite back yet Def not enough for the he diet.
My bleeding didn't start till 12 weeks but there was only a sac on the scan measuring 6 weeks. I waited a week and after my scan on Fri they gave me some tablets to help with what's left (the sac W's gone) but nothing has happened. My bleeding has basically stopped.
Kelissi - glad to see you back! I've found I prefer to work out on an empty stomach (I missed my morning work out one day and worked out after lunch instead and felt like I was going to throw up the entire time!). A few suggestions that work for me:
-I do drink coffee with 1 tbsp of creamer first. Maybe that helps me? Not sure if that makes a huge difference.
-I was doing the c25k (like I believe you are) for my first month of working out but once I completed it, I found it to be bringing out my martha tendencies WAY too much. I was obsessed with running further and further distances and completing the 10k program, etc. I had to quit because I could tell it was mentally affecting me. I switched to just running intervals without really timing them. I run/sprint for a few minutes (until I feel very fatigued) then switch to walking until I catch my breath and just repeat it for an hour. I'm always dripping in sweat, always extremely tired afterwards and I can tell it's a good workout. Since I switched to running this way I've lost tons more weight. The month I was doing c25k I lost 3 lbs, while in the last month I've lost 8 lbs. Also I can adjust my workout more when I feel weak or low blood sugar, etc. If I'm having a low blood sugar day I spend more time walking and less running without feeling locked into a "program" I have to do.
- I try to eat a fairly good sized dinner most nights. Since I run at 5:30 AM, I find having a decent dinner really helps. The nights I eat hardly any dinner (because I'm not hungry or whatever) I find my morning runs don't go as well.
- I did push myself too far once (increased mileage way too quickly) and ended up with crazy low blood sugar and an ocular migraine (couldn't see, eek). I ate 25 gummy bears after the run and felt better after 20 minutes, but it was quite scary! Since then I've made sure to push myself hard so I'm short of breath, sweaty, etc, but not so far that I'm hurting myself!
There's definitely nothing wrong with switching to working out after eating if that works better for you!
Hi ladies! I am TTC Blue sometime in the next few months. DH and I are so impatient we are both ready now but AF just returned this month after DD1 and if we go for it Aug, all 4 of us will have May birthdays...we can wait until Sep but that still puts the babies' birthdays close since DD is late May. Can't decide if we should just go for it and have a big ole' month of May, or wait until October...
On a side note, I'm a huge cardio hog and love to run. I was swaying blue with DD, but didn't give up running and usually ran in the morning on an empty stomach. So keep it up pink swayers! lol:)
Hi. I introduced myself in the girl sway forum a couple weeks ago and thought, might as well say hello here too. I'm looking to conceive in July and I'm on my first cycle off bcp's. I wish I would have gotten off them a little bit sooner, but life has been so busy that I have been putting TTC off for quite a while up until here recently. I've been tracking everything but have absolutely no signs of ovulation. So even though it is a bit early, I'm going into mini-freak out mode because my body is not going back to normal like I thought it would. Before contraception, I always had very regular cycles and was in tune with my body. I just thought (or hoped) it would be that easy to get right back into the swing of things. Any thoughts on this, ladies? How long is really normal for things to get back to normal?
Was there sign of a placenta? That'll keep the hormones going to some degree :( I took pennyroyal with the missed miscarriage and it seemed to move things along, but I think that pill you mentioned is what they gave my sis in law and it would work better than the pennyroyal. I hope things move along quickly for you. I will say that when my hcg tests (just pee sticks) started to come back normal I O'ed 1 week later in both cases, so if your tests go neg.that's a good sign.
They said there was just some thickening of the lining left. They gave me misoprostol on Friday. I phoned this morning to say nothing happened but they told me to wait til my appointment on Friday. So frustrating. Do you think I should get some decent tests or are the cheap ones ok? Just curious to see really.
Still floating around. Haven't started trying yet but I am quite focused on my sway. I have lost a lot of weight recently largely due to diet and exercise changes. I am hoping that this health lifestyle will help my boys way. But I am also a bit worried the weightloss may sway girl.
Not thinking about the diet at all but probably will start tomorrow again once my mom leaves. DH is still against TTC whenever the boys are a bit annoying but a few things should be changing to make life less stressful.

I'll maybe try a test tomorrow a have a couple of cheapies at home. Yeah tmi but the sac passed a week ago so I thought I'd be done. They did say the lining could just be absorbed. Hopefully I'll get the all clear on Friday, I am so not friends with that ultrasound wand :omg:
Hoping you get the all clear on Friday babybleublue, get back on the ttc train ASAP! Hugs xx

Hey there ladies. I have been MIA for a while. Mainly due to work. The family and I also went to the snowfields over the weekend. We left early Sunday morning and got back home Tuesday night.
I'm expecting ovulation around the 6th-9th of July. Dh has almost been on his tablets for two weeks. Without going into too much detail, I *think* the tablets have started helping :D
Exciting stuff, dh has decided he would like for us to get a new car hopefully at the end of the year. Much to my surprise. I think he is looking at getting a loan or extending our home loan. I'll try and chat to him about that tonight as he only brought it up yesterday afternoon right before I headed off to work. We are looking at a Mitsubishi Pajero. He wants to buy brand new which surprises me as it's rather costly. Bonus though, he is looking at seven seater :fx:
Good luck to our new ladies and good luck to those waiting to test. I haven't read through from where I left off as there have been so many posts (which is a good thing).
I have bacterial vaginosis !!!!!
Aghhh

Oh no cherry! Always something to put a spanner in the works. Have you been given anything for it?
Well I tried a cheapo test and there is definitely a line there, stronger than I hoped. Can't believe I'm hoping for a negative test so I can try to get a positive test?!?
Nope! They're re testing.
Strange thing .... I have a lowish ph. Between 4 -4.5? Usually BV means a high PH?

Sorry Cherry! How exciting about everything Boysway!
I've been very lazy about the whole LE diet and execise. I'm also just so unsure when we are going to TTC that it makes it hard to commit. I know from the past that DH has changed his mind basically over night and then we have started to TTC so I want to be ready but at the same time doing the girl diet makes me pretty miserable so I don't want to do it for one day more than I have to if that makes sense.
I'm very excited for everyone who is TTC or just about to! :)
Anyone have three girls swaying blue? We start ttc mid july!! Message me if so, would love a ttc buddy
Oops.
Cherry, I had that once, was just a short antibiotic course. Do antibiotics sway? I don't remember, who knows maybe it'll work in your favor. :)
Babybeau, I know. I found that odd too after so many months hoping for a positive, it feels bizarre to hope for a negative. Hope things get back to normal for you soon though.
AFM, I didn't ovulate early (woo!) my temp randomly spiked, then went back down slowly and I got a positive OPK yesterday. Hubby is not doing so well on this waiting until Aug stuff lol he keeps "accidentally" not putting on the condom even if I remind him. I'm gonna beat him if we end up with a failed sway, cause some stuff I wasn't planning on doing until attempt month like clomid, antihistamines, pregnitude, being less loose with the diet lol I admit, the lack of weight loss this round has really hurt my motivation for the exercise and diet.
