Part 4: Due December 2017, January, February and March 2018
The thing about Diclegis is anyone who takes it needs to keep an eye on their blood pressure. It can cause anyone to develop elevated/high blood pressure due to the anticholinergic portion of the drug (aka. Unisom). My blood pressure was normal prior to taking it- 100-115/55-65 and after taking it for 1 week my blood pressure rose to 135-145/85-95. When I stopped taking it, my blood pressure returned to normal. The same can happen with Allegra. While it is not a true anticholinergic, it behaves like one. Zyrtec, Benadryl, Chlorpheniramine, and Claritin are better choices.
Just keep an eye on that blood pressure while taking it will be enough. Some people are not sensitive to anticholinergics and some are. It also depends if you are in the second and third trimesters as well.
Sorry for the long post- I just wanted to clarify the potential concern with Diclegis.
