Welcome bni. Good luck with the diet and supplements. I also felt so great finding Gd.

thank you so much for the welcome ELP, Skyblue & MiaMelb (Hi Mia, I am from Melbourne too! :D :D ) , i have just purchased a customised sway plan for TTC boy, filled in 2 forms and am eagerly waiting for my plan to arrive to start with the supplements and diet changes
I really am hoping to start trying for baby after 1-2 months or as soon as possible :baby2: ... as I had a miscarried and undergone a suction d/c about 2 months ago, the doctor said to wait 2 cycles before trying again to have a baby - so it would be a great time to start with the diet & supplements straight away now.
Before going on this forum I read randomly so many other websites and purchased folic acid (only 800mg/tablet), evening primrose oil, cod liver oil, fertile cm, royal jelly... but i am unsure now what should I take or should change and buy other supplements now after reading the forum. :crawl: i read somewhere else DH should be on american ginseng, multivitamin (not sure if he should take normal men multi or men 50+ multi)...
I will just wait for the sway plan with meals instruction.. i'm overly excited to start with the diet and supplements to start counting until we can start to try again for a baby. I heard we need to be at least on the diet for 6 weeks.
Thanks ladies!
Welcome Bni – sorry for your recent loss – hopefully you will get a sticky bean soon … it is recommended that you get at least 6 weeks on the diet before attempt but the mian thing is for you to have a change in condition as compared to prior (diet, exercise etc will all get you tehre, even if it seems minimal). The idea is to get pregnant asap ^^
Another Aussie swayer, yay! (am in Bne) :D feel free to ask any question on here, there’s bound to always be something with an answer :D if you bought a plan, you will have all the best info available to you too … most of the supplements you have are fine, though royal jelly Atomic doesn’t recommend – and if you can get a good prenatal multi (I take Blackmores as it has iodine and other goodies too), that will already be a good start!
If you do take EPO then ensure the amount is always lesser to the total fish oil amounts you get – but I think overall Atomic is not uber keen on blue swayers taking EPO (high Omega 6 ratio).
Re folic acid – I actually take an additional folate (the true folate, methyl-folate I think it is called – I got some from Jarrow’s – this is way more bio available so your body will metabolise this better), so that would be good if you could switch to that at some point if no NFP (now that you have bought the other might just stick to that).
Again, check with her, but I think Atomic is not all for FertileCM and other “miracle” supps – but recommends you take Robutussin and/or Preseed to assist with your EWCM (and then, only if you have any issue with it, that is).
To give you an idea of what I am using:
*Daily:
Prenatal (I take Blackmores’ prenatal – in the pink bottle)
CQ10
Fish oil (1000mg)
Methyl folate
*At specific times in cycle:
Wheatgrass 2-3 times/week
Robitussin from CD10-15 ish
Preseed at attempt time (only tiny amount if no EWCM is seen)
In addition to the actual HE diet ;)
Hi TTcblue, CQ10 is a great antioxidant, which works great to ensure all your body's cells are in optimal condition...not sure whether it is specifically blue but since when swaying blue you want to boost your fertility and condition, it is a great add. Not cheap though and you want to ensure you don't get toooo much of it either (like anything too much of a good thing can also be nocive in too high doses).
Atomic or some of more experienced swayers may be able'to add to it..Īve seen it on lots of blue swayers' sways so hopefully it does some good work! :)
Btw, haven't seen Throwaway Panther for a while..if you are around hon, come and say hi, hope all is well! ;)
Thanks for adding LSMS! I was curious too [emoji3]

thank you so much for the information LMSM, I have passed 2 cycles already since my loss, and started the HE diet recently after reading on this forum for almost a week ^_^ I will follow this diet and take all supplements for 6 weeks then start trying again, hopefully i will soon be blessed with a little one :D :D
re methyl folate - i have a search around and saw some jarrows methyl folate on iherb, but there is methyl folate 1000mcg & also methyl folate 400mcg, which one are you taking? is it the methyl folate 1000mcg and take it one a day :D
also preseed- i searched for this but seemingly preseed lubricant they rename it "first response conception friendly" lubricant in Australia - is it right? these are sold in chemist warehouses around, otherwise I will have to search online more to look for preseed. i usually only have tiny amount of EWCM so I guess i will need this.
i have purchased women-1- a-day multivitamin which arrived, and also men 50+ 1 a day for DH. I have returned some un-needed vitamins which I have not opened so all is good :p :p ... I have also purchased probio & coq10 - should both my DH and I take probio & coq10 - or this is only for me. I read somewhere in this forum that atomic recommends taking 2000mcg folic acid / day - so I guess i will have to see how much folic acid is already in the multivitamin then add on more folic acid/ methyl folate to add up to the amount.
I just purchased wheatgrass powder which I have include in my morning smoothie with banana, spinach, dried apricots, little bit of raw almonds, coconut water, and some raspberries - which taste really nice :D :D i'm finding the taste of v8 vegetable juice a little bit hard to drink everyday though.. lol.. but it's suppose to make up for 3 serves of veggies. :p there is the v8 fusion in the supermarket too perhaps i will try those, not sure if they are as good as v8 original as the fusion version does not have tomatoes.
My hubby is a bit on the underweight side for his height - am trying to get him to eat 3 meals + 2 snacks a day too to gain some more weights to be healthier overall but he does not eat much (roughly he only eat 1900calories/day) - i have to result to buying up&go breakfast liquid from the supermarket for him to drink as snacks to make up for more calories intake.
i can't wait to receive the sway plan!!! :P :P .. lol.. but thankfully reading from you ladies and atomic to purchased some supplements in advance to start taking & start the HE diet.
@BNI -
No worries at all!
So to answer your questions
- That’s the Methyl folate I got (Jarrows on Iherb) – I think I got the 400mcg, will double check tonight but I think I went with that with the reasoning of more is not always better – given I have folic acid in the multi (though they are different) didn’t want to get too much iykwim?
- I bought some Preseed at CW a while ago, so might have changed since then – if they rebranded it, it’s very possibly why the box I got was heavily discounted even though it’s expiry was a long time away lol if it’s sperm friendly lube you should be good to go ^^
- Did you get a prenatal multi or just a women’s multi? (the prenatal is likely to have a few things that are good such as Iodine, dha, etc)?
- The 50+ for Dh is fine (I got the normal 1-a-day for DH but 50+I might be even better ^^)
- Probiotics (forgot to mention I also take this!) and CQ10 is good – I think for both of you as sperm are cells too so a booster is good (if your DH is fien to take a couple more pills) – you should try not to exceed 100mcg/day for the CQ10
- Do you take additional fish oil or does your multi have some/ (I think it AS recommends around 1000 mg/day)
- Great for the wheatgrass – agree that is the best way to get it down as it otherwise tastes foul! EPL did mention the other day that wheatgrass may be best taken a few times a week rather than daily – but am sure it is not detrimental to take it daily as such ;) might just be easier for most given taste and price of wheatgrass! Your smoothie sounds perfect ;)
- I don’t do the V8 I can’t drink it – just can’t! if you otherwise have plenty of fresh fruit and veg in your diet I don’t think it is a problem not to drink it ;)
- Remember it’s not just the calories, it’s the nutrients mainly – and if you can get nutrient in DH that is the absolute best – if he only ups his intake a little, that in itself will be a positive change – does he exercise( weights?)?
