Cvd not too many more days honey. So exciting!!!!
Thank you ladies <3
3 more days, still not a bit nervous or anything! How is everyone else getting on??
wanting this babe to stay in as long as possible so I can soak up some summer fun with the fam. once babe comes we will be forced to be inside with the 100+ temps and humidity there's no safe way to be outside for babe.
3 days- you'll have the first babe fo the group and then they'll just start a popping out lol
Oh wow! So exciting! I can't wait to hear, and see a photo!
I just vacuumed/cleaned the inside of our car so we can sell it, then swept the garage out. I had to come inside and sit down.. Totally overdid it and feel sick now!? I'm really nesting but my body can't cope..
3 weeks to go for me, excited, but nervous at the thought of twins..
Best of luck CVD, thinking of you. Enjoy those precious first moments.

Oh ladies, I pushed myself way too far today! The nesting instinct has kicked in and I spent all day weeding, planting and tending my gardens. They look much better, but my back is wrecked! I'm planning to paint the baby's chest of drawers tomorrow, hope my body's up for the project. I've got so much crap I want to get done before I'm swamped with newborn demands. CVD-I'm so excited for you. You're going to be the one who starts off all of our announcements, can't wait for a picture. I'll be stalking here and on facebook too!
Hi ladies. I have been MIA the past few days. First my granny passed away then my DD who had developmental dysphasia of her left hip got called on a cancellation date for her operation. ( if we didn't do it now it would be some time in August) so we thought it best to get it over and done with while the little man is much easier to manage in my belly. She is back home now and won't be able to walk for about 2 weeks but she is in good spirits. We have our days planned out with play doh, colouring, dvd's and short walks out in the buggy, jigsaws and visitors calling over.
Best of luck this week CVD if I don't get a chance to log in again. Hopefully everyone else is doing ok
Pearl - sorry to hear about your granny. I'm glad to hear that your DD is feeling a little better. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Hi CVD-best of luck for tomorrow! We are looking forward to hearing all the details and seeing little Hudson!!
Oh pearl, sounds like you've had your hands full! Best wishes for your DD's surgery and recovery. Sorry about your gran.
Thank you ladies!!!! I will be snuggling my little man in about 24 hours! I can't wait. We spent all yesterday cleaning, I'm definitely getting nervous! Just at my pre op now :)
Hi ladies sorry Ive been awol for ages - My dad has been taken ill in hospital with Pneumonia and he hs developed diabeties which made them do some tests and its looking like he has cancer :-( Ive been bck and forth from london to wales and am exhausted.

Good luck CVD tomorrow!!!! Thinking of you.
Sorry to the other ladies who are having such a tough time.
Mum23, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Hope he's well again soon.
CVD-eeeeeek!!! Very excited for you :) Sleep well tonight, I'm thinking of ya.
It's currently 1:40am here and I CANNOT sleep lol I'm actually starving and it's keeping me up, but I can't eat or drink anything of course :( we will be leaving for the hospital in 4 hours. I'm feeling a bit guilty for ending Hudson's cozy stay before he says so! Eek. Trying to get back to sleep lol
Good Luck CVD!!!! Hope you are snuggling your little man as we speak or if not very soon!
Yes ladies I too am trying to nest but alas this back and hip pain is not allowing me to cope either  I have at least washed all her newborn and 0-3 onesies (haven't even touched the actual outfits yet), sleepers and gowns, receiving blankets, burp cloths, hats, hand mittens, socks, and all of the padding on her swing, rocker, and bassinet. Her room is coming along but she will be rooming with us for the first 5 months so there is no dire rush with that. Other than that I am just getting the bedrooms cleaned up and just getting the house disinfected and cleaned, lol.
How is everyone else coming along?
Aw cvd have been thinking of you hunny, bet its really nerve wracking just before knowing exactly when they are going to come. I really hope all goes smoothly for you both and ryder copes ok with sharing mummy. Can't wait for your update x
Praying - not very well i am about the same as you - although not washed anything. Still got lots to get too (like a mattress for the moses basket and cot) on the other side though i still have at least 4 weeks even if they take me in early. I also have two uni assignments to do and my brain has turned to mush - which is my bigger problem, especially now i have been threatened with a section and everything is up in the air i can't seem to think about anything else but the baby.
I did have so many decorating plans and wanted to do all the boys rooms and our room before she arrived as you can't paint around little ones but with the back pain and spd i can barely walk let alone climb a ladder to decorate - still never mind i'm sure if worst comes to worst it will all still be there in 6 months or so.
Anyone any ideas what i should expect if i have a section - how immobile i am likely to be and for how long?
coming on here to check on cvd- all these diff. time zones I know no idea what day or time it is for you lol. hope everything goes perfect and lil guy is in your arms soon:)
as for gettign ready uggg- i will be moving at 35 weeks prego. def. not by choice. so it will be crunch tim ein me trying to have energy and be able to move to unpack and get house ready for babe. soo stressful. hoping to relax and have some summer fun first:)
I hear you on that Mrs. P! I am in an accelerated class now and I have one assignment every week. My poor teacher has been getting them late every week but she has been so nice about everything. I only have 3 left to complete but so afraid she will come before I have a chance to complete the class which becomes more complex because university doesn't offer incomplete grades any longer.
I haven't had a section but all three of my co workers have. Basically you will not be able to lift anything other than the baby for about 8 weeks is what I am told. Everyone heals differently. Not to scare you but one of my co workers did something around the house (very light) and ended up with a open section wound so you do have to be careful.
Sorry to hear about your Granny Pearl and really hope all goes well with your daughter!
Mum23- that's awful news about your dad....really hope he can get the required treatment and then make a prompt recovery. It's a lot to handle being pregnant and 3 other kids to mind too.
I have had two sections and really you are out of sorts for the first two weeks. I was fitter after the second, but then the birth before was shorter. My first birth was over 12 hrs and the c section ended being full anesthetic so I was really knocked for 6 after all that. But you do need to give yourself 2 weeks of taking it relatively easy...as easy as you can with 3 other kids running around the house. Think I stopped the pain killers after 3 days with the second. Will be facing another in 5 weeks hoping to get the date tomorrow from the surgeon in the hospital. I have vicious sciatica but it comes and goes now...I heard that spd business is really very nasty. But at least you know the end is near (enough!) and then it will be all worth it when you hold your daughter!
Hi everyone!!! Just popping on - Hudson Aubrey Van Dorp was born at 8:46am. He's so precious. Weighed 7lbs 14oz which is EXACTLY what Ryder weighed! Nursed like a champ for the first time and has been napping since! Surgery went fantastic, I'll be getting out of bed this afternoon says the nurse. Everything has been great. So glad he's here and is healthy as can be. I just love him so much!

Congrats. He is gorgeous, what a cutie! so glad everything went well. I've been thinking about you today xx
Congratulations CVD!!!!
Congrats, CVD! He's so precious. Well, ladies-I don't know about you but Hudson's arrival makes my own baby's birth seem so much closer! The ball is rolling now :)
mines still feeling a bit up in air to be honest - i could be just under 4 weeks away (if i have a section at 39 weeks - 18/06) or i could be at most 7 weeks away if my placenta moves, i stay natural and go late - feels like a life time
BUT on the other hand its 9 days til June and we're up next - how exciting roll on June (the babies seem to have gone awol in the other group - we need some more newborns!)
As far as being prepared for this baby's arrival. We are not ready at all yet. Our bedroom is torn apart because we started remodeling it about a month ago and are not finished yet, but hopefully it will be done within the next couple of weeks. We still have to prepare the bedroom downstairs for our oldest boy which will involve clearing out the room, ripping up the carpet, painting, sewing curtains and putting in new carpet. We are also going to recarpet the living room so we will have to rip out that carpet. I have washed some of the clothes with a stain remover but I will need to rewash them again because it has been a few months and I was really just trying to get the stains out. We have purchased some new clothes for this baby and they all need to be washed as well. I do have a pack of diapers and a stroller now so I guess I am ahead of where I was a few weeks ago though. My plan for the upcoming holiday weekend is to finish up my shopping for a carseat, swing, etc and get all of the clothes washed as well prepping all of the cloth diapers and maybe if I can manage to gain control of our monsterous laundry pile in the living room we can set up the bassinet in there. I also want to have my older 3 boys pack their overnight bags so they are ready.
On a positive note though I do feel way more prepared mentally for this baby then I have with any of the other 3 so if everything doesn't get finished in time I'm sure it will be fine and will work out rather than being frazzled and stressed like I was at the end with the last two pregnancies.
Huge congratulations! He's beautiful. Pleased to hear you are doing so well xxx
My baby shower is this weekend! Eeeeeek...I'm very excited about it.
Eeek cant believe babies are starting to be born......exciting!!!!! huge congrats cdv he is gorgeous xx
