Okay I think I might have some news.. Since last night I've been feeling "off" and restless and this morning I'm feeling a bit crampy, well lo and behold after having been strapped to the ctg for 45 minutes it's been discovered I'm contracting every 10 minutes.. And I can feel them! Eeek! I so pray this isn't a false alarm!
-
Ooh sunset, will be thinking of you, little lady has obviously waited long enough for you and thinks she is ready lol!
-
Well I guess it's false alarm because they're not intensifying :/ strange.. I've never experienced false labour before lol
-
Get on a ball sunset, it'll help bring the contractions on if she is indeed ready to arrive!
Fingers crossed for you! :)
Had a proud mummy moment this afternoon, Charlie done his very first wee on a toilet! He's been showing signs of wanting to be potty trained, he took my little sister upstairs and asked to go on the toilet! Did a lovely Christmas wee hehe! When he was done he came down and told us and the whole house cheered for him! He was so pleased it was very cute!

Ah Charlie how cute! Your baby is growing up!
Good luck sunset! I might be joining you soon. Bp is at up, protein and glucose in wee all tested at home but see the midwife Thursday. Might pop into hospital if it keeps going up before then. Protein is below 1 and bp is 99 but been told home machines aren't too accurate. Hope it all settles down. Thought I would be ok if I got to 30 weeks but it's really to soon. Off to mates house for boxing day tea now.
Enjoy boxing eve everyone x

Hopefully it means the time is near even if it's not 'the' time Sunset - good luck!

My body is definitely doing something but it's clearly just false labour. I've had tightenings about every 10 minutes ALL DAY but they're not intensifying. It's all a bit new to me as both my labours with the boys were super fast and I didn't have any twinges at all beforehand.
After I'd been let out of hospital this afternoon we went to hubby's family reunion and i swear to you ladies, i wasn't there more than 15 minutes and during them 15 minutes I got EVERY GENDER COMMENT UNDER THE SUN! I could have slapped someone. It always surprises me when people i dont really know have the nerves to ask me "so are hoping to have a girl this time".. what has it got to do with them? and what do they expect me to say? I think it's quite obvious that someone who has 2 or more of one gender would gladly welcome an opposite, but when you are 36 weeks pregnant, suffering pre-eclampsia and insomnia you just want to hold a healthy, strong happy baby regardless of gender!!!!! and i have honestly reached a point now when gender is the last thing on my mind, i love this baby, MY BABY!! sorry for the rant, but i wish i wouldn't have bothered popping by the family reunion to be polite and show my face.. people can be so freaking insensitive and stick their nose where it doesnt belong!

Poor you sunset, what a pain having to listen to all those annoying comments. Even though you know you are having your girl and you can be happy inside about that it would still make me feel bad for my boys, why wouldn't I want more boys when the ones I have are so wonderful!? And I agree, having a healthy baby is just so important. Good luck with what the next few hours/ days hold!
