I am so excited, I just got back all sorts of test results, and everything was perfect. My FSH was 7, and my doctor said my ovarian function is not compromised in any way according to my hormone levels. And my thyroid and blood clotting panel came back perfectly normal also. SO....this is what she said: it was either crap luck to have the 2 m/c in a row, or my DH has a balanced translocation, meaning that he has a 50/50 chance of making a normal baby, but my doctor said she would bet that is not the case and it was just bad luck. On to the positive, YEA for my good test results, and Iluvs!!!!! YEA for some good attempts and FX for some bfps soon! YEA for my upcoming attempt (even if it is at grandma's). And big YEA for the preggos now, you ladies who deserve a sweet healthy baby so much. YEA for beautiful little Honor and all of the healthy babies we all have! And big FX for us who keep our chins up and believe we will get pg soon enough.

Hey ladies, can I join this discussion? I was going to sway in May, stuff happened, blah blah and I ended up having my first attempt in July. I'm 8DPO and hoping to test one day next week. With my DD, we dtd one time three days before O and then I had to go out of town unexpectedly so I figured, well, so much for that. I didn't think about it during the 2ww because I figured there was no way it worked. Ended up having some crazy dreams and a couple of crying sessions, tested the day before af was due, and bam! BFP first try.
The point of telling y'all that is....I have no idea how to get through the 2ww. It sucks. Bad. I have soooo many symptoms and they're all soooo easily explained other ways. It's like I'm constantly having arguments in my head...
*I'm soooo tired.......well stop staying up late to watch Adult Swim, dumbass
*I'm gassy/bloated......shouldn't have eaten that Italian food, huh?
*My skin is broken out.....yeah, well maybe you have crap skin
*My underwear feels damp, maybe it's cm.......you're in Mississippi in July, maybe it's sweat
*My drink tastes funny, maybe my taste buds are changing.....maybe you shouldn't drink it after chewing a Flintstone vitamin
*My back hurts.....so stop carrying a toddler around on it
*I had a weird dream.....so do most people who eat Italian food and then watch Adult Swim
Arrrrggg! So frustrating! Logically I know I shouldn't be pregnant because how would I be lucky enough to have it happen again the first time. BUT I know I'll be disappointed with a bfn because if one time got me pregnant before then surely three good attempts should work this time. But I'm older....I know if I get a bfn I'll be picturing my ovaries with gray hair and little orthopedic shoes.

Welcome daisyfay you are very funny. We have never had trouble conceiving either it was always 1st go bam. I did have 2 m/c between DD1 and 2 but all 4 pregnancies were 1st try. We did not use protection much while I was bf DD2 and I did not fall pregnant, but we were not monitoring ovulation either. So I am also feeling cocky and then slapping myself for it. FX for you your symptoms could be related to pregnancy so distract yourself with more Italian food over the next couple of days and then test. GL
Lola great news good luck sounds like you have a great shot for next month. I also had 2 in a row m/c in Oz they only do tests if u have 3 in a row they say 2 is just bad luck. But I did pay to get my tests and it turned out there was nothing wrong with me either. Then DD2 came 1st attempt no problems whatsoever.

3PNB - I do think it's the "witching hour" thing... this little bedtime routine I've got going with her has worked a charm 4 nights now, so I'm knocking on wood and keeping FX that we may be past the worst of the fussies.
I liked breaded meat during pg too - chicken nuggets for the win, lol! I agree with you, meat going in is meat going in and don't worry about the breading too much right now.
OMG and I'm so sorry about the relative drama! I am right there with you - your kids are YOUR kids and what you say goes!! I'm glad you told BIL off. I hope things get better for the sake of your little 2yo neice and the bub on the way - that your other bil gets his act together. Glad your secret is safe though. So glad your mom is thrilled for you :)
Lola - she does spit up a lot but no more than my other babies have. I think her fussing with feeds was related to my let-down being super strong and overwhelming her. She seems to be doing better the past few days, especially with nursing and going to sleep in the evenings.
I didn't realize there were such side effects with the reflux meds - so glad things cleared up for your sweet DD once she didn't need them anymore!
Kris - the due date calculators can be wrong on conception dates (and due dates) - especially if your cycles are irregular or not "textbook" cycles of 28 days. I know they are always a little off for me b/c my cycles tend to be only 26 days.

Layla - I would guess it's leftovers from DTD since it's still so early.
Hopeful - what do the rest of your signs look like? If you are having tons of EWCM I would say go for it, esp. if you've also been sticking to diet. If CM is scanty, I would wait.
iluv - I know what you mean about anti-climactic announcements. My MIL was bouncing Honor around the other day making comments like "she's so fussy because she wants to be the LAST baby" DH finally told her it wasn't up to Honor, lol, and that we plan on having another baby thank you very much! My mom acts excited but I'm not sure if she geniunely is whenever we announce a new baby :p
So glad the thyroid test came back normal! I have always tried to wait until around 12 weeks or so to tell friends/family. I think waiting until you've had an u/s and have seen your little bub is a good idea if it will give you peace of mind. I know how hard it is to have a rough pregnancy and truly hope that this one goes so smoothly for you!
I think that the prenatal and clo are good supps to be taking while pg - if you want to take salmon oil, too, that's good as it is higher in the EFA's clo is lower in, and clo is higher in vitamins so I think they compliment each other. But I have always done a prenatal and clo.
We used a baby hammock w/ #4 and as soon as Honor is a little bigger I will use it for her too. I really liked it, and so did DS, especially once he was big enough to make it move some himself.
Tink - sounds like your work is fun and interesting with all those gals, regardless of how gorgeous they are ;p I'm excited that your attempt is getting close!!

AAM - thank you 3PNB & Lola, it really does help so much to know that somebody understands. I am feeling a little bit better now, took Honor shopping and got her one of those little bath seats that can go in the tub as she seems to really like baths :) Always good to go shopping. I just skipping the baby clothes and went right to the other stuff - no need to look at pink or blue! Otherwise we are doing pretty good and Honor seems to be doing much better the past few days - not nearly as fussy :) I'm two weeks into the tummy exercise program I'm doing (Julie Tupler's program) and that's going really well. In four weeks I can start adding a full exercise routine to that. I'm looking forward to getting toned up a bit more! Looking forward to cooler weather - it is HOT right now!!! Oh, and I've been keeping up with my blog too :D

*Feeling breast tenderness. Well you are wearing an underwire bra that is probably too small after over 2 years of either being pregnant or breastfeeding or (more likely) stuffing yourself with food on the boy diet.
