I still don't even believe I'm even pg and have no feelings of gender at all at the moment :(
And like you ThreeMenAndALady I was only on the diet a few weeks and not feeling very hopeful, number 4 for me too! I keep going over in my head all the things I could have done differently :(
I did more than I ever did before this, but there seems to be so much on the line this time. I know there will never be another baby for me. A very good friend of mine just found out she's having another girl. She has gbb and now girl. I'm upset and put more pressure on myself. I haven't told anyone I swayed, not even my dh. And now I feel like bad things are going to happen to me because my dh doesn't know that I was tracking o and I acted very surprised at my bfp. I wanted this so bad I did things I would NEVER do. I'm an honest person and gd has turned me into someone I don't know or like for that matter. I'm not sleeping well and feel guilt. But the guilt I would've had if we waited or didn't try would be so much worse. This thread has turned into my diary. Sorry ladies.Quote:

ThreeMenAndALady don't feel guilty my dh has tried to understand how I feel but really doesn't have the faintest clue how much I want a dd I just grabbed the opportunity that he even agreed to ttc again.
I feel like all of you are the only people who understand what I'm going through and how I feel cause you are all feeling the same. To be honest I really don't think I would have put my self in this position (getting pg) if I hadn't found this site the amount of pain and sadness I felt when I was pg with ds3 was totally unreal I guess that's prob why I don't have any feelings at all at the moment just waiting for the slight hope to go out the window or just carry on believing that I am incapable of making a daughter. Super sad :(
I'm sorry I don't really have any words of wisdom to make it all better but just to let you know I'm here to listern and support you all and polish it pink as much as possible :)

Big hugs to everyone! Try to stay positive! I don't have any great words of wisdom for any of us suffering of GD and wanting a DD so bad, but just remember it is a coin flip and the more times you flip the coin, the greater chances you get. Also, I have seen so many sways (or lack of sways) result in a baby girl and it can happen to any of us. Don't lose hope just yet!!!
And I spoke too soon about ms. I think it's here...
That is good news Three, now you can feel a little more at ease with the pregnancy! Really sucks to be sick though, hope you can find some relief, same with the rest of us!
I think I was 'ok' with babys gender till I had my scan now I'm obsessed and in a way posting my pic b4 realizing it was a nub has made it worse....so far I've had all girl guesses but I just can't believe it could possibly be a girl after all everyone tells me I can't have girls! I mean how accurate is the nub theory anyway??
I tried talkin to dh last night about needing to get gender out of the way and find out maybe at 16wks & pay for private scan but he told me off, and said just think of your aunt who can't hav kids, made me feel terrible because of cause he's right and healthy is way more important then gender, but then GD isnt a rational feeling is it?? Nobody understands but u guys :) xx

Family and everyday people, there's one lady at my boys sch who is terrible she had 2 older boys she has told everyone that she only wanted 1 girl first if she had she wouldn't of had more children, so I beleive she swayed for her dd who is now 4 but she told me when she was 7wks she paid a lot of money for a blood test to find out gender if it had been a boy.......... :( she's a peice of work and I'm dreading taking my son bk to sch nxt wk just because of her :( xxQuote:

And I just have to share just how much I am looking forward to telling someone in my life..my former BFF... 8 months or so..it was after I joined GD in Jan. I told her I was excitedly swaying girl and thinking of a fertility herb -Vitex, or Soy (hadn't made up my mind yet,) and she stops and then says "I don't want to say it, I just want to warn you guys to be careful because I STRONGLY feel your next one will be a Boy!"
She had 3 boys and girls at the time she uttered those words that cut me deep like a knife to my heart.. I couldn't believe she could be so cruel!
She claims she has psychic abilities...
Anyways, that I am looking forward to... I'm sure she will claim my loss was a boy but i'll say, nope you are wrong too.. DH had a dream!
People will say anything to others to get them down.. I just don't get it..
Oh yes I've looked at everything nubby lol iam obsessed, I posted my pic on IG and got 100% girl votes there....I've scan through loads of girl pics and yep so much like mine fx you and everyone else is right, I'm just scared I'm letting myself in for a big fall :( hubby defo won't let me do a early gender scan :( 10th Oct is so far away booooo!

I am so excited for you! If you can try to convince DH into a scan around 15-16 weeks, please do try as well! I didn't think I would accomplish it, but I did... and we don't regret that money spent!!!!!

Rosie and 3M, I am right there with you girls. I really thought I was ok with either gender, though preferred girl, until I had my scan and now from what I read ALL ultrasounds need to be reversed, so my baby/placenta seems to be on the right which indicates boy. I wish I had never read so much on theorys, because now I just feel I am having boy #4 and will never have my DD. I am trying to tell myself to prepare to hear boy, but hope for girl, but really I am just so bummed. Not to mention I am puking my brains out and the prescription meds arent helping because I cant keep them down long enough. DS3 is teething so he is up at night, which is making me even more exhausted, and I just feel a little resentful right now. I know thats horrible, but I cant help it. I have 6ish weeks until I can maybe get a nub shot and I am almost not looking forward to it because if nub looks boy it will take away the little bit of hope I have that Ramzi theory is poo.
Threemen, about the left ovary thing, they confirmed I o'ed from my right at my 8 week ultrasound, and it really freaked me out, because I thought that meant I had no hope at all of this bean being a girl, but she is! I don't know how much stock I put into the left / right ovary thing, because many women with only ONE tube end up having mixed genders, so I wouldn't put too much stock in it.
Many, many ppl tried to dissuade me out of this third child, saying that I'd just be bound to have 'another boy'....I pushed through anyway, and like ya'll, in the early days, with ms and doubt, I felt like there was really no way in hell I'd have a daughter, but I did have a gut feeling it was a girl, but I didn't want to trust it/believe it because of all the negativity about how I would just fail at producing a daughter. I told my oldest sister about swaying before I did it, and she laughed and said her friend tried it to get a girl and ended up with a "boy named benjamin." But, at the end of the day, I really wanted to have tried than have been too scared, so I actually COMMEND all of you in this thread for putting your dreams in action!!!!
You can't get a girl without at least trying--and trust me, I doubted my sway a ton too (I wasn't as hardcore on diet as I could have been), we all have doubts/questions about our sways after they are done--no sway is 'perfect' but yet many of us seem to be very lucky in achieving the desired gender, so have faith :heart:
The dr called in some Zofran. Finally!!! I am so glad to be getting some relief. Today has been the worst and I am at my breaking point! The boys are acting crazy b/c they have been cooped up inside b/c of all the rain and me feeling sick and I just can't keep up with them and get work done. DH gets home at 3:30 and it can't be soon enough!

Hope you feel better soon NC, ms sucks! I haven't been so bad this time thankfully, just feel absolutely shattered and nauseous which isn't fun but at least it is a good sign things are going ok with the bean. My boys are in nursery 4 days a week, and I work from home so I can work at whatever time suits me so I get a good break. Loads better than with my 2nd pregnancy when I had a 9 month old to look after while combating awful morning sickness! I used to sit him in the empty bath while I was being sick in the loo - not good!!!
Whenever I feel like eating I feel really full fast, so every meal time it ends up feeling like I have absolutely stuffed my face when actually I'm eating far less than normal.
Only a few weeks to go until we should start blooming! ;)

My ultrasound tech said it doesn't matter what ovary the egg comes from, just where it implants.
Winn--don't worry about your picture because unless your tech told which way she printed it you have no way to know! It could be sagittal, transverse...flipped around on purpose.... It all depends on which way they had their screen, how they hold the wand and how they print the picture so there are many factors to know and again easier said than done but try to stop looking at the picture and thinking right or left. I keep picking mine up and forcing myself to put it back down saying I have no clue!
mummypink - you sound like me! Working from home has been great, but this has been the longest summer ever! They let out of school for summer break at beg. of June so they have been at home with me since! It has been so hard! Next Tuesday they start back and DS1 will be going to preschool M-F from 9-1 and D2 will be going T, TH, and F from 9-1. Then they come home and crash so I pretty much get all day to get stuff done! I just need a break from feeling bad and from the kids!

Hello everyone. I had my u/s a little while ago. The sac and yolk sac were there, and the start of an embryo. I go back next week to see the h/b...hopefully. I did get an abdominal and vaginal. I didn't ask about sides because that would've made me obsess. Hope everyone feels better soon. And thanks for the post Auroara.

I finally have my first ultrasound on Wednesday. I am so excited! The nurse who called in my Zofran has me all nervous. When I told her the problems I am having and the nausea, she said it maybe twins...I guess b/c of my beta and b/c of my nausea! I was like OMG....don't say that! So, now I am all nervous about it!

Ladies I had a dream last night that I was having a baby girl! That is exciting for me, never had a dream like that before! She even told me her name in the dream. Maggie Jane. I hope it comes true!!
I know I haven't posted on here much, but I've been keeping up and watching the thread!! Zofran is amazing, isn't it NC?! I dunno what I'd do without it since I even still feel nauseous some of the time while taking it... Rosie, I had a similar dream too! FX they come true! I had my first appointment on Tuesday, but it was just paperwork and bloodwork. I have my first ultrasound on Thursday to check my dates. I'm super excited! I'll already be over 10 weeks though. And they don't routinely do the 12 week NT scan, so I'm not sure if I'll get one :( but I'm planning on having a private scan done right at 16 weeks to find out the gender! It's a 2 1/2 hour drive, but the scan itself will only be $85.
Beachy, I had my scan and I'm STILL worried about twins!! Ive heard so many stories of missing a twin at the earliest scan. I am huge already and I dont know why, I'm barely eating and with all of my other pregnancies I didnt show until 15+ weeks. And my betas are also high, YIKES!!! It's really depressing to have a belly already and know that baby is not big enough to blame yet, lol!
Yeah my mom mentioned something last night about me still having twins even though the scan didn't show twins. She said early scans don't always detect them? Lets hope in my case there wasn't one hiding! haha
Winn-Maybe you just have extra water retention? I was huge too until last week then it went down a lot. I am still big for 8 weeks but this is my third so I was expecting to show much sooner.
