Here are pics of my little Jude whose one week old today!
Jude is gorgeous ICB!
Making me even more impatient LOL
DS2 (my other October baby) came the day before his due date. No such luck of history repeating itself. I've given up on the next few days. Tomorrow is my due date so he wont come then, I think the weekend is the earliest I can expect anything.
Jude is absolutely gorgeous! I love the bath towel pic!
Strawberrymom I hope the appointment goes well. I worry about that too because my sister had hip problems when she was born, so my babies have to get xrays to rule it out.
Yeah I got a sweep and it did absolutely nothing! I had a little bit of brown discharge but didn't even feel in the slightest bit crampy. Cervix is very unfavourable apparently. I've never gone this overdue before. I'm booked in for an induction on Monday.
I think MOB or Navywife will definitely go before me.
Navywife that sounds promising, hope things are happening.
MOB I hope things happen soon, you're having some great signs, you never know he might come on his due date! Two of my friends recently had their babies on their due date!
There is a full moon on Friday night, I'm hoping that will set me off, because DS2 was born on the night of a full moon and DS1 was born 2 days before a full moon.
I had more show and pains this morning, walked round town doing some shopping all morning. Its not completely stopped but not gone anywhere either.
I heard about the full moon so hoping it works for me too LOL I didn't know about it before so not sure what kind of moon the others were born under.
Mob's!!!! Surely this will be it for you!! So excited and envious:bigsmile: I still have 12 days to go by my dates before I'm even close ugh!!!
And OMG Jude!!!!! He is absolutely beautiful and I want him!!!!!!!!!:HH::HH: Enjoy every little kiss and cuddle and smell of him!! xxxxx
I'm thinking something has to be happening right to keep losing little bits of show, its not just mucus but actual bloody show. I just wish if it were going to happen it would happen and if its not going to happen yet it would quit teasing me LOL I don't believe anything will happen today on my due date.
Dh just left to get the biggest 2 and his text me 3 times in the space of 5 minutes, I'm sure his trying to wind me up, the messages say "any signs yet?" "how about now?" "surely now?!"
had Ryder today at 11:18 am. 7 lbs 7 oz. he is such a sweet easy going baby. we are blessed !
Congratulations Navy Wife!
OMG I have a friend messaging me telling me that I should run up and down and bend over to touch the floor! As if I could do that! I'd end up on my face!
And why do people always have to have it worse than you? I moaned that my body keeps tricking me. Once again this morning I had some bloody show and pains which have now eased off. And her reply was "I had that every day for a month! and come on man up I had SPD and still managed the running, and it worked he was born 12 hours later"
Then she said she was worried about me as I seemed 'anxious' I'm not anxious, I'm heavily pregnant, easily irritated, extremely tired and very impatient to get to meet my baby.
Congratulations navy wife! Welcome to the world little Ryder xx
:bluecheer:
Congratulations Navywife :HH::HH:
Congratulations Navywife!!
My little girl Zara arrived yesterday at 11.57 am, weighing 8lbs 14oz.
Congratulations Navywife and Pangea on your new additions!!!!! Enjoy every second of them xxxxxxxxxxxx
And Katie I hadn't even looked back a page and had completely missed your pics of little Duncan! He is goooorgeous:bigsmile::HH::HH:
Congratulations Pangea!!
The full moon did nothing for me, but apparently its tonight (or 1:30am Sunday morning) that it will be over London England, so hoping as I'm not too far away in Kent I might get a little of the effect coming my way.
Love the name Pangea, congratulations.
It's my due date today!!!
Come on baby!
MOB - hope it's soon for you too x
Ruby how exciting!!! Any last minute guesses?
Congrats & welcome to the world new babies! Exciting to see news in here!
My due date is Friday and I can't freaking wait to not be pregnant anymore!!! My hips feel broken and I'm a hormonal mess.
My baby is finally here! Seth William Patrick, born last night at 11:45pm, weighing 8lb 4oz. I got my home birth, in fact I ended up with an unassisted home birth. When I phoned the hospital to ask them to send a midwife I wasn't taken very seriously it would seem as she left it a while before calling one. My waters went at 11:15 and he arrived 30 minutes later, the midwife arrived 20 minutes after him. We did had to transfer to hospital as he had poo'd but all is well and we are home again.

Aww what a cutie!!! So glad he is finally here, congrats xxx
Congrats motherofboys!!! He's so cute.
Mob's!!!!!!!!!! He's gooorgeous:HH::HH: And well done and your home birth! and unassisted as I predicted lol;) Enjoy every second of him xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Congrats MOB! He's precious!
My 3 year old has croup!!!! I'm terrified to have this baby now! What do I do?!?
Lld2006 - my 5 year old niece had croup a few months ago when SIL had her baby and it was fine. They didn't keep my niece away from the baby as she was so excited to meet her baby sister and she didn't end up catching it or having any issues.
Hi ladies, I took a break from here a while ago as felt it was needed, still not best pleased that number 4 is another boy but we're all ready for him now, have been keeping up with all the October Births - congrats to all who've had their babies the piccies are really cute :-) . I was due on the 21st but am still here waiting! It's unfamiliar territory for me as my other 3 were all early - I've got family on the phone everyday asking if anythings happening! so annoying! I haven't event got a midwife appointment till next Tuesday so am unsure what the next step is! x
Thanks ladies, ELP I did think of you afterwards and your prediction.
Who is still waiting for babies now? I've lost track lol
I love the pictures of Jude and Seth! Congratulations to navywife, pangea, and mob. I love the name Zara.
Pinkprincess-it seems like most of the October babies are wanting to hang out (or I guess I should say IN) for awhile. Reading the Sept due date group, I think most of them went early, so maybe our babes are making up for that-lol.
Lld-I can't say that I am familiar with croup, but on webmd they say that sometimes the flu vaccine helps to protect against, so if you got that hopefully little one will be protected. Also most viruses are contagious in the beginning so he's maybe past that now.I know my ds1 had a little cold a couple days before I delivered, and I was worried about that, so I feel for you and am sending positive thoughts your way.
Congratulations mob, he's gorgeous!
40 weeks today, according to dr. Friday is my due date according to me. ;)
She wants to induce on sat. I'm an 8 on the bishop scale....2.5cm and 75% effaced. I really don't want to be induced!!! I asked about membrane stripping & she said "if you haven't gone on your own by now, you aren't going to"
Totally bummed. She did say that I can just have her break my water then give it 2-3 hours before starting pitocin and that made me feel a bit better. Just frustrated this isn't happening on its own. Going to TRY to dtd tonight w DH to move things along but doubt that will really help.
How is everyone doing?? Anyone feel like their family is finally complete? Even though I didn't get a girl I could not imagine not having Ryder now. And Right now I feel like my family is complete and don't have that overwhelming desire for a girl. I am praying this stays and I can move on and just enjoy our family. Here is a picture of my sweet boy

Lld2006 - I'm sure you will go on your own if you get the chance, don't let your doctor pressure you into something you don't want. You are only due today and it's perfectly normal to go 10 days over due prior to induction, in fact here in Aus they wouldn't induce earlier than that without medical reason (not just because you are post dates). Hoping something happens soon for you though & the sweep does the job.
I'm 40+3 today and seeing my midwife this afternoon, I've had the 24th in my mind as babies birthday all along so let's hope I'm right. The other boys were both born at 40+4 so shouldn't be much longer now anyway.
* sorry just re read that she refused to do the sweep. Hopefully sex helps and then a big walk does the trick.
Ryder is gorgeous Navywife! I hope I have the complete feeling after this baby is born because this is definitely our last.
Navywife, I feel the exact same way as you! I didn't get my girl and that was devastating, but I could not imagine (nor do I want to) life without Duncan. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect final piece to our family's puzzle. Oh, and Ryder is beautiful!!!
Lid people go late all the time on their own! That dr is nuts for saying that... I went at 41 weeks with ds2 I know many overdue babies that didn't have to be induced
That's what I say!!! I'm frustrated because I was a bit teary and explaining my concerns and she brushed them off so quickly without compassion. I'm so emotional about it today. I know I don't need to show up as it's my body I just hate being put in this position. DH fell asleep before and chance to dtd which leaves me ticked off w him today. I wish there was something I could do to bring him on my own before sat morning!!!!
