Mum - you are very close and remember it doesnt matter if you were shocking on the diet for a couple of days. Your overall diet is so strict I dont know how you manage it.

Mumofsix. I was using ovulation tests and on day 12 spiked. But couldn't do ut until the next day.. not that night. Im not sure if it was that time or a day before o but we got pregnant. .so I think its possible! !

DH is a bit concerned about BDing tonight as we only just BD 2 nights ago and this pos opk has a little earlier than expected. But the 4 day BD is 4 days plus an additional attempt at pos opk right?? So will tonight be ok? My test is still positive this morning so I assume I haven't ovulated yet, although I do have some cramping today too. I so need to get pregnant this month as this is it before we stop til December, but would also hate to do anything to reduce the chances of pink. 😕
So testing question. I couldn't resist the urge to pee on a stick and I'm out of hpt's so I was using OPK's since I had read they can sometimes pick up hcg as well as the LH. I've gotten negatives so far but was curious if anyone had done this and gotten negative OPK's and then a positive hpt?

I am so annoyed at myself, I'm in the 2ww & planned not to test til Saturday morning when AF is due. But I tested this morning & it was negative. Which means nothing as I'm only 8 days past O but still I feel crappy. BLAH.

Oh mum trickey honey, personally I would go for it!!! Atomic recommends BD every four days plus an additional attempt if you have been on the diet for a while or its taken a wee while she recommended it to me after 3 attempts. Again personally I would do it, no month is perfect, look at me messing up a month with my opk drama!!! And if you don't get pregnant this month at least you tried and can come back rested and relaxed for December. Just my two cents good luck xxxx
Primal mama 8dpo is pretty early to test, hold out to 11dpo , but hey like I can talk I also tested at 8, 10 and 12 dpo this month!!! Poas addiction.

mum i really hope you went for it. If you BD 2 days before a positive OPK then by the time you O, it will be 3-4 days since your attempt anyway making it one functional attempt - there will be next to no sperm still alive and you need to get PG now. I would not hesitate to BD in your shoes and the past 2 months I have put my money where my mouth is and done this - both times we had BD 2 days before the pos OPK but we still BD on pos OPK (and failed to get PG anyway!)
Sometimes we get so caught up in 'we must do X' and sticking rigidly to something such as BD every 4 days that we dont realise we may be harming our chances to get PG in the first place. Yes it is possible to get PG from one attempt 4 days before O but when it has been going on for this long, do you really want to chance it? If worried, get DH to take a hot bath first or do an immediate J&D.
Please go for it hon - it HAS to be your month x
kidandkatmommy - I have never done this, hadnt heard of it until recently, I guess it will happen for some and not for others? Hope you get your BFP.
Primal - 8dpo is exceedingly early to test lol but we have all done it! I am sure you are days away from your BFP :)
