Big congrats MUM!! Your twinsies will be so cute! I am so happy you get to experience a little girl. And that she is coming along with her brother :) What a cool experience (ill admit, I wanted twins for about five minutes each time I have been preggo. It just carries a special and magical draw).
I am kinda bummed by the shopping options for team green. I have bought a couple things...but everything has gosh darn ducks, I hate ducks. I love black and white together for neutral stuff, but it always has something gender-related on it. Booooooooooo. But I got a couple things at least. I love to baby shop, so it's putting a damper on things. Not that I need a lot or anything. But it's just.a way to bond with baby for me.
Hotdogz I'm having shopping issues too, but not for this baby - for my 3 year old. He is being VERY stubborn in the toilet training department. I've been trying to tempt him with special jocks (underwear for the non-Australians) but he is having none of it. Until today, when he has spied some GIRLS Ana & Elsa underwear in a catalogue. Well, my little Frozen fan has set his heart & mind on Frozen jocks, & swears he will wear them if I buy them. Guess who's getting girls knickers on the weekend?! Lol.

Hello lovelies!!! Had my scan today so so magical, corny I know! All my worrying over gender just went out the window when I saw that sweet babe! I am in love already.
Measuring 13 weeks exactly all happy and healthy. Didn't see anything down below that made me think boy but I am also the worst nub guesser , photos were not great my baby likes to move it move it!! But they gave me a DVD which I have watched twice already going to try and take some stills tomorrow. Hope everyone is keeping well!!! Xx

I know nothing about nubs. Why is it that nothing down below would indicate a boy? I (in my obvious nub ignorance) would have thought the opposite. I've been trying to work it out looking at the ultrasound threads & can't find any clues as to why people guess strongly boy or girl on early ultrasounds.
There is a thread that teaches you but I read this and was still clueless!!
Primal I too am a bit useless!! I read up a bit just to look for clues at scan but to be honest I was so blown away just by the scan I didn't really care!! Long flat is girly and angled up predicts a boy. Both are really guesses especially before 13 weeks someone else might have a better definition!! X

I actually have gotten pretty decent at guessing nubs. I enjoy it. I just learned from reading and then lurking around to see what some of the experienced guessers were seeing and managed to learn how to look for what I needed to see. I stink at reading my own, since I think there is a level of denial (no matter what, really) that goes into your own scan. And I never could rely on watching the screen for the nub. I never saw it once on either scan when I knew about nubs. But when I went back and looked at the video, I saw a nub on each baby. One was a girl (my daughter) and this baby was not ideally situated, but I am fairly certain it's a boy. Nub was boyish. I tried to deny it, but I am still pretty sure. And I am good with it. A little sad, and really, the reason is because of the swaying. I had a fairly decent sway and its like "well, wow...if that didn't produce a girl, what will??" Lol. But we won't know for sure until March. However, ill be four shades of shocked if it comes out a girl.
I did have a short scan the other day. Baby looked good, it was non-medical. The tech (who has seen me through all of my pregnancies) pulled me back to test out her newly hooked-up printer (for the 3D scans). She wanted to do a sneak peak at gender, since she knew I was 16 weeks, but obviously I told her we didn't want to know. She said she could easily tell what baby was. Which obviously also makes me think boy. But she was only in 3D and I have no idea what she was seeing. Lol. We got a pretty cute alien picture of baby. Looks like an active one. Heartbeat was 160 and my weight gain finally slowed down (whew, I was getting worried!). My anatomy scan is scheduled for Oct 30th at 20+3. I am hoping all looks good with baby! And normally that would be the hardest scan for a team green, but I tend to get a couple more scans later down the road because of the clotting issue I have...so I will have many opportunities to slip or ask. Haha. But I won't.
After all the nub talk yesterday I went off on a GD forum & Google frenzy & think I've worked it out. I'll definitely be having a good look in our scan, whenever it is. I am really struggling with nausea. It is making every day miserable. It's been particularly bad this weekend, we have a public holiday on Monday but I've put in to do overtime. Ugh. I'm really regretting it but we need the money & my husband doesn't get overtime opportunities in his work. Hotdogz that does sound like a little boy you've got in there, although heart rate is definitely girl territory. I'm not sure how accurate heart rate is but I looked up mine from the 6 week scan & mine fell into the pink rate for average gestation (115) which gave me a little hope. I actually need to stop looking at all the old wives tales etc because I don't WANT to be hopeful, the more hopeful I am for pink the more likely I will be disappointed when I hear blue. Frustrating. Doesn't help that my friends & family keep saying they've "got a feeling" it's a girl, which logically means nothing but does start me wistfully thinking "what if...?" My husband is also convinced it is pink, he has even started crocheting a pink blanket & has crocheted a pair of pink sandals (we live in the tropics so booties are completely impractical even in "winter"). I feel you on the ,"it's gonna be your girl"comments. It happened a lot with ds3. It is the reason why my pregnancy won't be announced until I know the gender. Let's hope I can keep my weight under control!!! I have hit the 6 week mark and have not felt to terrible bad yet. It comes and goes. Hoping it stays that way but I know there is still time for it to kick in full force. Right now I am having more lower back pain then anything else.
