TTC March/April/May 2015?

XX, I don't normally get positives but I do always get some dark OPKs (at least one). I think my OPK is finally darker today but my urine is SO dilute that it's not showing. Soooo frustrating!

Ash, I think it's a great idea to start charting in advance of TTC, full on with temps and cervix checking. It will help you plan and tackling a new project sways blue we think. Keep in mind CM isn't very reliable for determining O and swaying can change your CM.

Well, I got +OPK yesterday...2 days after our attempt, so I'm hoping some of those swimmers are sticking around. I really have a super loose sway happening, so I'm reluctant to attempt again until tomorrow (day 4). Hoping we didn't *just* miss it this month. I'd love a Christmas girl!

Yep it was I, thanks for your story! I hope you O very soon. Would you consider attempting again tomorrow? I am going to try to attempt again tonight, I'm on CD16 and last attempted in the afternoon on CD13

So I DH and I *may* move TTCing up to next month. So 4 weeks from now. EEP! It depends on when I ovulate. So it will be a game-time last minute decision. But that means I have to plan like we are and it is crunch time for swaying. I am excited. Super excited.

If I can keep dh up (no pun intended) tonight, we will try again! Toddler boy has been up for hours in the middle of the night for the last few nights--for no good reason that I can tell!--so we're running on fumes. I hesitate to even bring up babies right now as babies just mean LESS sleep. I'm even second guessing myself! It is so much harder to be sleepless at 38 than it was at 23.

I think I read once that lack of sleep seems to sway girl! So it might be a good night for you to go for it!

Finally got a dark almost positive OPK even with my super dilute urine, at 2am on CD17. So probably I will O on CD18 as usual. Didn't get to BD but now I'm glad, I've never had O-1 timing and I think I need it with DF's sperm. Will try to attempt by evening of CD17!

Maiden~ I'm going to start charting faithfully now! Even though my cm finally came and one day was tinged with pink which I hear could be when the egg gets released, some blood gets through! Will def use opks starting next month!! Good luck and hope you catch the egg!! Fx!

Ok I m so confused! Should the LE diet screw up my cycle?
I am on day 39 and have had some cm on and off. We dtd on day 30 thinking I was way past O. I am not charting and was just waiting for af to show!

Pebbles, yes swaying pink/LE can definitely delay O.

Haha, last week I was complaining of no cm and now I'm on my 5th day of ewcm!! Better late then nothing!! :) still thinking of pushing back our attempt to June though.... Is high stress better for boy or being relaxed & able to plan it down to the last detail... Anybody know?

Doesn't matter. I was laid back and relaxed with DS1 and super stressed with DS2. Type of diet, type of exercise, and BDing appropriately sway way more IMO!

Having no stress is better for a girl...lowers testosterone. But no sleep is a good thing. I am so discouraged with the diet right now that I will have to push my attempt too :(

It's so weird, I've had no appetite and have been struggling to eat enough the past 7-10 days. Amazingly I've still gained weight this cycle (as was my intention, I think I was TOO thin). Sincd I'm pretty sure I Oed early to midday Saturday/today (intense full on O pain for several hours, CM turned creamy, OPK faded, feeling hot late tonight/now), I have been planning to go off the LE diet. I'll still stick to 2-3 meals and not snack until at least 10DPO, but I'll stop counting/restricting cals and resume eating the boy friendly foods I ate pre sway. I had a venison + red wine mushroom sauce with potatoes and green beans meal (heavy on the butter!) in mind but now it's super late. I've only had about 800 cals today though so I gotta eat something...but I don't feel hungry at all. Very strange and unusual, I'm only not hungry when I'm sick but I'm not sick.

Ash, if you feel overwhelmed/fatalistic/depressed, that kind of stress sways pink. But if you feel anxious/obsessive/like you need to plan & control every little detail, that type of worry/stress sways blue. Hope that makes sense!

Thx ladies, I'm just so wishing May would work out b/c that's the month that I've had in mind for awhile, but June would give me better bding opportunities... I'm having trouble letting go on MY month, lol.... The stress would be testing with opks while being in another state in my sister in laws house... I think I ivulated late which might make my cycle every 28 days instead of 25 or 26... But it could go back and I really don't want to bd in my husbands sisters house...know what I mean? I would also like the time to lose more weight before starting boy diet, but I an so wanting to try in May!!! Aghhhhhhh, Im just obsessing.... I should just go with June, just makes it seem so far away and then the baby would share my birthday month :(

Maiden~ eat!! 800 cals isn't enough! And that does makes since about the different stress, I'm thinking it would be a little of both!!

Maiden, I felt the same way this cycle I got my BFP! I wasn't hungry and ate the same amount of Cals as before, but I gained 2-3lbs! I was like wtf?! I ate 3 small meals and didn't snack. I had to move up my last meal a few times, when I got hungry earlier. The weight threw me, because it was too early for me to gain water weight due to AF, and I've been walking on top of my 60+ min of cardio and Yoga!

I'm [emoji120]that your body is doing everything it can to get and maintain a healthy, sticky bean!

Maidan. FX this is your month!
Ash-I understand the month thing..last month would have been perfect! This month not so much. And DH is away next month...I have to let it go.

So, I'm on CD5. Was going to start my clomid on CD3 but my estrogen level was 168! Normal is below 70. Went yesterday for redraw and its 118. So, have to go again tomorrow for rechec. I asked RE if day6 is too late to start clomid and she explained that I'm not at my baseline yet. We can't go by my cycle..what a cluster! Good news is, it will push my EDD into January. We already have an xmas baby..

FF says I ovulated a day before I was supposed to. Hopefully it doesn't effect anything. I'm pretty sure it is wrong, because I had O pain really bad the original day of O. Fingers crossed a pink bean sticks! I can't wait to see some positive pregnancy tests :D

so, went for my follow up BW this morning. my estrogen shot up to 221!! the RE isn't sure what is going on. going back in on wednesday for redraw and rescan. My scan was fine on friday so that's why they can't figure out what is going on. I am most certainly going to every 4 day this cycle..especially since even the RE has no idea what is going on with me

Hi ladies, mind if I join I'm ttc in April my first month, I have 2 boys nearly 4 and nearly 1. Hmm Easter didn't think this through lol! I'm in Australia and will be on clomid, unmonitored which scares me a bit, when I was on clomid for Ds2 I was monitored and new O due to the ovidril shot this time I just want to do it myself and see how I go!

Magical~ welcome!! Yeah, Easter is a hard time to diet, lol!! I don't know much about clomid so maybe some of the other ladies that take it can give advice :)

Ttc may now! Question for you ladies that are doing one attempt at pos opk. Are you bd the day you get a TRUE pos opk or at the first signs of a surge?

I was under the impression first sigh of positive opk is the first sign of a surge. So to me it's the same.

Can someone chime in?

A positive opk is when the control line is as dark or as dark as the test line. That's when everyone has there attempt. Some of mine have never turned fully positive so it's when you see the darkest one that you attempt if you notice it doesn't get fully positive

I did this last time I got pregnant before my miscarriage and it worked for me ☺

There can be some outliers- but in general most people ovulate within 24-48 hours after the FIRST positive opk. Some can ovulate 8-12 hours, but that is not "typical".

Now first positive opk means the test line is as dark as or darker than the control line when using ICs or true Wondfo opks. Again there can be outliers- some see a fade in pattern from very light to dark, but never get as dark as or darker than the control line. If using CB digital (not advanced digital or the monitor), BD at the FIRST smiley face. Some people confirm with a CB digital when they think they get a positive on an IC and then BD- this saves money on the CB digital so you don't use them everyday (I did this).

If you are not sure, flip a coin. Yes, this works to alleviate stress of guessing, which sways blue and you can move on.

If at a true positive it's VERY likely. Dh and bd one time only with ds4. We were on the cut off plan but then I got my pos opk early.... I've given up with the timing and just want to do the one attempt but at pos opk but wanted to be sure this meant a true pos and not the fade in.

I need to reorder new opks, and then test to see how they work. The ones I have now are awesome and are almost gone (and expired lol) but I used them back when tracking for #4, and I got true positives with them luckily so I'll try and get them again!

hi ladies,

healthy-have you tested today?

just heard from the RE about my appt. so, i had 4 follicles. 2 were a decent size (i think 14 & 17) my estrogen is still climbing to 404! i explained the every four day rule so she said attempt tomorrow (thursday and DH's birthday) and rescan on monday. looking like no clomid this cycle as we can't seem to get me to baseline. we are assuming i will O sunday-monday but that's based on follicle size and cycle day. she doesn't want me to miss the egg if i start to O on my own..this is wacky. she was thinking with my estrogen so high that i might have a cyst(no) or pregnant(no) at least DH will be happy on his birthday :wink:
