So I've been referred to see a really good doctor who is familiar with everything in my history, which is great. I'm a little nervous though because my last labour was <2 hours, and the hospital the new doctor delivers out of is an hour away.
Jconger - looks amazing. Do tell more :)
Fox - glad you are seeing a good Dr, but I can understand your concerns about being so far from the hospital.
five - I have had that type of pain before and it was caused by sciatica I think and my chiropractor helped tons.
All you ladies look wonderful. Here I am at 22 weeks. I feel HUGE! and the pic is huge too for some reason. :(

Yeah it was so so so incredible!! As many of you know, I am a healthy and wellness coach with AdvoCare. They asked me to share my story at our national convention last weekend. I got to stand on stage and share and cry in front of 20000 people at the Dallas Cowboy's stadium. I am not a public speaker by any means. In fact, I'm terrified of talking in front of people and being the center of attention, but it was so so awesome! Hearing that my story touched or encouraged so many was awesome. And lots of compliments on the baby bump. I am feeling good about girl number 3.

I totally second this!!!! I was diagnosed with ICP last week eventhough I didn't have it with past pregnancies. The doc was shocked since I was the one insisting on a blood test eventhough he thought I am just having normal pregnancy itchiness. ICP could be very serious and requires treatment right away. I am so glad I got it checked out right away eventhough I read it is a rare disease

Thank you ford for sharing. I did get the blood work to test. And I believe I am headed in that direction. Now the itching has moved to my feet and other unpleasant locations. I will probably be tested again when I have my next appointment on the 31st to see what the levels are doing. I have not heard results back yet because they take at least a week for my midwives to get the results. It is a bit terrifying to think about all that can go wrong because of it. Praying all is well for you ford!
Oh Ford, I am so sorry. Are you taking Urso? Is it helping at all? I found it brought down my bile acid levels but didn't help the itching. It really was one of the worst things I've ever experienced, so I hope the itching isn't too bad for you. Do you know what the plan is with regards to induction yet? My bile acid levels spiked dramatically right around my induction date (and the placenta was a mess and my son wasn't in great shape at first), which totally convinced me that it's important. I didn't have it with DS2, but I'm still on high alert for it this time.
Shann, isn't the delay for bloodwork the worst?
fox - Yes, I just wan to know what is happening. So sorry to hear that you went through this too and that it could have ended badly. When did your itching start? The Midwife thought it was weird because I am too early for it apparently. Hmmm.
It started at 27 weeks. I've heard of women diagnosed as early as 8 weeks though, it seems like the old belief that it only happens in the third tri doesn't hold up.

My actually started around 20 weeks! So definitely possible to get it before 3rd trimester.
Fox - the doc gave me urso right away. I am taking it 3 times a day right now. The itchiness is horrible and people are asking why I have all these scratches. It's hard to sleep at night. Not sure if ursodiol will stop the itchiness. I assume if my bile level becomes severe they will induce me by 37 weeks. Fingers crossed I can hold on until 38 weeks.

Thank you shannshaff! The one annoying thing is that sometimes symptoms can persist for weeks before the blood test will show a spike in bile acid level. Therefore if your blood test come back normal but your itchiness don't go away, then you need to pester your doctor to keep on testing you. Truly hope you don't get it.

Oh and HUGS to you fox for having to deal with GD as well. I am in the exact same boat. I have GD as well and so far was able to control with diet. Kudos to you for going through another pregnancy after getting both ICP and GD. I know this will be my last because I am already worried sick given all the risks.

Thank you for the information fox and ford! Sorry you both are having issues with your pregnancies too. I will be sure to keep having my bile levels checked since the itching has been persistent since 13w on my one hand and is spreading. It is not constant or annoying yet, but is is throughout the day.
I've been having painful Braxton Hicks contractions every morning and afternoon, since Monday. I'm hoping they stop soon! I'm 30weeks tomorrow!
How is everyone else doing/feeling?

Oh wow XX! Same here, except mine happen at random although usually in the evening. I cannot walk at a regular pace, only ultra slow and even then I get pain at the bottom of my uterus. I have a feeling this bub is gonna make a much earlier appearance than big sis. I don't see myself making it to 40 weeks o_o.
On another note, my boobs are sooo itchy! :( I just want to go without a bra all day, when I let them loose they itch even more.
Fox, Shan and Ford, I hope you all feel better! Sorry to hear of all the troubles :(
JConger, so glad you enjoyed yourself and other benefited from your talk! :) Thank you for sharing!
Mine seem to be happening at the same times each day. I'm making sure to stay hydrated, rest if needed, or taking short walks (these seem to help make them stop). My body did this with my last pregnancy. As I get closer to my due date, I use these to practice breathing for when it's the real deal.
I can't believe we're all getting closer! I'm getting so excited!

Decrease in appetite and nausea came back for me [emoji849]. My BP and BS are fine so it must be because everything is smooshed. I can't believe I have 6-9 more weeks to go!! I'm getting excited!!!

I have a really long time left too but I'm excited that time keeps rolling. I am going to have to eventually afford some long sleeved maternity tops (bummer), but holding out for now. 17w still for me!
[emoji177]
Birthfree- Don't buy any! I have quite a few that I won't be needing anymore! You should PM me to see if they will work for you! I have long sleeved shirts, 3/4 length shirts, sweaters, jeans, and nice slacks! Let me know if you're interested!

I am still hanging in there! The itching has increased so it is not looking good for the ICP diagnosis for me. :( I hope to get the bw results at my appointment on the 31st. But if that is the case, I might only have 14 more weeks to go! That is crazy for me to think about. We still have ZERO names for this little one if it is indeed a boy. I am having the hardest time getting started on a boy name. We never seem to have this much trouble. Not sure what the hold back is, but it is starting to get me concerned that we will not have a name by the time this little one joins us. :(
I'm doing Ok, 8/9 weeks to go and have to have a c section which I'm not looking forward to, I've got sooo big it's crazy everyone commenting how I look full term. And I have a very low blood count so need to up my iron count just so exhausted all the time. But I am looking forward to our new addition and meeting our new little boy and on the plus side my anxiety has improved Allot, I think I've just accepted the fact I'll be a boy mum and I feel so bad for thinking all those negative thoughts when I found out. I hope negativity doesn't pass into the baby in some shape or form ... [emoji852]

amelia - so very happy to hear you are doing better. Wow, getting so close. I am sure the negativity will do no permanent harm! You are excited to meet this new little man and he will know his Mom loves him!!!
Doing pretty well. I have 9 weeks left.
This is always the phase of pregnancy tho where I start to puff up I've noticed. Being only 5'1", about the time baby just fattens up, I just blow up like a ballon cuz there's just no more room.. [emoji849] so I'm still maintaining my fitness level and healthy eating. But I don't think I'm a match for the "baby fattening" phase [emoji23]oh well. I know when baby gets out it'll go back down to normal and I won't look so full and round and stout :p
I'm actually very confused with my boobs too this pregnancy.. weird I know.. but with my daughter they just got HUGE... and this time they've def changed shape a little and of course the nipple got weird as always. But I haven't had to get new bras. I'm still in regular ones. Just odd I totally expected to be in like E or F cups this go around lol!

If you could have anything knit for your little one, what would it be?
I can't figure out what to make...
(Already made her hats and booties since I'm due in late Nov).
I would knit her a super soft blanket! My grandma did that for me, and I wore that blanket out! It was falling apart, stained, and faded, haha! I still have it- I can't part with it [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]! She has arthritis super bad, and her mind is failing her, otherwise I'd have her make one for our baby girl!

15 weeks to go! Although objectively I think closer to 13.
Baby boy is still a bit big. Still don't have my blood sugar under control, so I think I'm headed for some medical help with that. But I actually feel great! Better than with either of my boys so far.
Another resurgence of GD this week. I'm excited to meet this little boy but not sure if it's feasible for us to try again for our girl.

Fox - sorry you are not able to keep your sugars under control. ((HUGS)) But glad you are feeling great! I can so relate to your GD feelings. I have been thinking "can we try for a girl one more time in a few years?"....not really likely, but I am still in that place. :(
Hi all...hope every one's doing well. Shannstaff....looking at your signature...did you have your baby's gender confirmed? I thought you were team green so did I miss something?
Right, well congratulations either way on a healthy baby!! How are you doing otherwise? Our families are pretty similar in terms of the amount of children we have...how do you feel about labour and delivery of number 6? I'm feeling nervous about everything right now and I'm not sure why. Fortunately I've had straight forward labours and deliveries so far and I'm panicking this time around about whether the baby will be ok, whether I'll haemorrhage this time as apparently being the 6th I'm high risk....I know I need to be positive but just wondering whether any one else is in the same boat??
I am a little nervous about delivery, but that is because if I do indeed get diagnosed with ICP, I will most likely be induced early. That scares me a bit. But if not, I have fast labors and that is a bit scary as well. DH worries we will not make it to the hospital 20 mins away. And I REALLY am not looking forward to labor. But I am really looking forward to meeting this new little one.
Me too...not looking forward to labouring but definitely am excited to meet our new addition. Have you been told you could be more likely to haemorrhage with it being your 6th? I know you could be at risk regardless of how many babies you've had but it seems the likelihood is raised with us....
On my 6th they told me the same and as soon as i went into labour i had a canula fitted and when he was delivered they put something through it that contracted my uterus quicker than normal..i needed to stay lieing down for about half hour i think..there was much more blood than before but the injection worked and for the first time i didnt even have after pains which i usually suffer terrible with...theyr doing the same thing again this time but im also not allowed a water birth so they can measure the blood loss im gutted but rather be safe x
Ooooo and wanted to share with you my 4d scan today which confirmed definitely a girl so im now at peace..here she is 24 wks 2 days and the spit of my youngest boy but fuller lips...Attachment 37200
Hi Five boys I'm sure you feel like you've won the lotto having your own little girl! It must be an amazing feeling for your dream to have come true, enjoy every minute of it.
