Well, I was just too excited-I had to tell my siblings with a cute announcement pic. One brother jokingly said I'm crazy & hopes it's a girl. (And that's not the brother who made the "you can't control gender" comment). Hmmm, haven't heard back from that brother. Maybe I should've kept my excitement to myself [emoji849]

Lola men just aren't as excited as us women lol. One brother of mine was happy said he hopes it's a girl and my other brother didn't even acknowledge me

lola - I had the same feeling but with my aunt though. She's more like my mother in my eyes and her reply was congrats but I think your crazy! We may be but we wanted another. Our youngest now has a genetic disorder and can't walk alone so I guess to people we do look crazy to have another. Hopefully our brother comes around!

I agree. The thing is that things n people that u normally don't care about hurt you too at this time. People need to be a little more sensitive specially when it's not their life.

Thanks everyone! I know, the comments are just so annoying, but I guess that's to be expected... people don't think! It makes me feel like I have to prove that I AM capable of having a girl! Yes, a girl would be icing on the cake, but in all honesty, I just want a healthy baby!!
Kat-they said my dd is still Feb 12th! July 18th is for genetic testing at 10 weeks, then an ultrasound at 12 weeks. Is your next appt for genetic testing & is that the soonest they could get you in?
Sky-everything is going to be great! Please update as soon as you can! I'll be thinking about you all day!! I was so nervous this morning, my OB was laughing at me [emoji12]

Lola - They do the blood work and ultrasound on the same day for our genetic testing and they want to do it at 12 weeks. Sounds like they let you do blood work sooner at where you go! Honestly July is a busy month so going on the 31st will work well.

And if I find out gender it will be at the 20 week ultrasound not through the early testing unless it's covered and I cave. I just know this is a girl. I just feel the success rate for boy sways haven't been good but girl sways have been great.

Shan/XX - have y'all had any successful boy sways in your ddg??

Kat last time i had them write the gender out on a paper. My husband read it right away and i looked at it when i was ready. I just didnt feel like breaking down and crying in the US room.

This time i will go alone for US as DH and i work opposite weeks so if i am off he will be at work. This will make it easy for me to stay team green.

I believe in our ddg - 2 of 3 the blue swayers are team green and one is having a girl. Our early success rate had diminished in the past few weeks for girl sways.
And just because - here is my 20w bump.

In my ddg a year ago we had a great blue rate. I unfortunately was the only one who had a failed blue sway in that group. We had 4 or 5 ladies in total.

Thanks everyone. I don't feel cute. I did not even wash my hair this morning because I was too sick and had to get to work. :/ But thanks anyway, I feel huge. And this baby is carrying higher than my others.

You do look to be carrying higher. I have always been low low with my boys!
