I have no clue about the fertilized egg question...sorry Flava.

About the PP....I didn't want that either! I wanted 2 girls. That's it. I thought I might want a bigger family...but that was after DS1....thinking I would have 2 girls after him....LOL! Now of course, 1 girl would be just amazing. I do feel bad about the "no sister" thing, but then again, I have a sister(3y younger) and we have nothing in common and are not close AT ALL. Anyway, there's also a girl on there who's pregnant with her fourth girl and she has been so vocal about being blessed as she DID NOT want a boy. Everyone there is pissing me off today. Plus, my 3.5yo, red haired, obstreperous child has emptied the entire contents of a 1lb bag of raisins ALL over my living room. I think there has to be about 500 of them on the floor. ~sigh~

DM- about the woman pregnant with the 4th girl and so happy that's is a big BS!!! lol
I wanted my first 2 girl then I wished for a boy well did not happen.

I bet that's a defense mechanism because she doesn't want to get the rude comments those of us that have 3+of the same get. I mean, I never thought of PP as ideal and I wanted boys mainly BUT....after 3 it's like come on I'd like a girl too! LOL! But I have to admit during this pregnancy people/strangers would tell me I hope this is your girl and I would always say I Love having boys--that was my defense mechanism cause I just wanted those comments to go away. i just didn't want people to ask me what I'm having cause if I said boy, I knew I would hear rude things and I don't want any of my kids to ever hear anything negative about who they are, or mommy needs a girl, or poor you, etc.

Oh GG, I'm thinking the same thing... Her gender guess was boy, she had a bet with her DH that baby was a boy, so I think she was shocked to get a girl. Who knows...I just find it so hard to listen to people complain about how others don't appreciate a "healthy baby". Who said we didn't appreciate that??? It's kinda like birth for me....yes, I want a healthy baby/healthy mom....but there is more to it than that! An empowering experience does a whole lot of good for Mama's! Same goes for this- I want a healthy baby....but I really want a girl as well:) Sorry about the ranting...it's been a crap day:(

Totally get it! I announced on FB what we are having...now I'm terrified what if the u/s is wrong...what will people say. I already had to hear all the crap when we got preg. every comment was about "oh trying for a girl huh?" or hope you get a girl I felt like posting "NO we wanted 4 kids either way" which was the truth but I kept my mouth shut and was just polite. At my son's soccer practice a mom with PP found out its a girl from another mom who congratulated me and she made the remark that the u/s could still be wrong! And went on to tell me about someone's who was. AGH! I'm seriously considering going in for another u/s. DH would be MAD though, he thinks those aren't good for the baby and we should just get the minimum u/s needed.

When hubby and I talked about kids we only talked about having 2 and we wanted a pigeon pair. But honestly I would still love 4 kids. I don't have my family around at all and my kids fill my day.

Yesterday at the store I was holding DS2 close because of the wind and at that moment I felt so happy that no matter what happens I have my kids with me to hold. I am happy with what I have and if we don't have anymore kids then o well.

My husband was talking last night about having 4 kids and said he would like 2 girls next so they would have each other like the boys have each other. He only said this because we saw a family at a resturant who had BBGG and they had each other to talk to and everyone was happily joking around.... I wrote down on a napkin that we agree on having 4 kids and the last 2 will be girls, we both signed it! So I quess God/s have to honor that contract right ;)

So, how is everyone? I've not been on here much lately. I have a cold of some sort-it's attacked my throat and I've been coughing non stop:( Ugh. That and my nose is just totally plugged. What a joy.

Mocha- how are you feeling? I'm sorry I havent sent the herbal info to you yet:( I'll get on that.

Anyone have snow yet? We have an inch or two and it's making me excited for Christmas:) I'm not looking forward to Jan/Feb though. They have to be the worst months of the year, for me. It's so darn cold here and I feel trapped.
On a more positive note, I've just signed up for my midwifery studies! It's a 4 year distance education program-plus apprenticeship and hands on course for stitching etc:) I'm beyond excited!!!

Oh and only 2 days til I see my nugget!!!! Eeeeek!!!!

Wow, DM - 2 days - you must be so excited!

I'm doing ok - I have my ups and downs. The bleeding's almost completely stopped - just some brown spotting. I go for my u/s tomorrow and my blood test Friday, so that will give me a better idea whether I'll be ready to conceive this cycle. I miss being pregnant and just want to have a baby to look forward to again.

You do not need another u/s ;) YOU ARE HAVING A GIRL! :rofl: People like that are mean and want you to sweat it. Ignore and enjoy the last half of your pregnancy, with your daughter in your belly. xoxo

I hope that everything looks great on the u/s, Mocha. If the baby had passed away quite some time ago, the hcg is probably gone from your system. I really hope you can try right away. It sounds like you need to:HH: Lots of love from me to you~ know that you're on my mind all the time. xoxo

Thanks Hun:HH: I'm hoping you're right! I do feel it's a girl and the pics are pretty good but I really am terrified that I've built myself up to see a girl on Wed. and I won't get to see that....

How have you been, B? I'm hoping that you're feeling a little bit better but totally understand if you don't. It wasn't until DS2 had been around for a few months that I really started to feel lucky to have him. Only 15 or so weeks to go!!! Wow!

15 weeks left is freaking me out. I'm not doing well at all honestly :( I wish I'd just taken the two girls I have and not wanted a 3rd child ... but I really did want 3 kids, it's just now that I don't because it's a girl. I wish so badly that I had realized that BEFORE ttc but I thought I'd be OK with another one. I feel awful that my girls have ME for their mom when there are so many women who would cherish daughters. But I had 2 days last week that I managed not to cry so hey that's progress right? Two days out of two months, LOL. What sucks most for me about this is I am normally such a happy person in general, and this has just wrecked me. I miss being me :(

You know if I thought there was ANY doubt on those pics we (because so many others saw them too!) wouldn't have let you get your hopes up! I think there will be LOTS of shock if you come back 11/23 with anything other than confirmation of your daughter. FX for you, but really ... like with Glitter ... I think it's pretty darn close to 100% girl already!

I'm so sorry that this has been such a terrible time for you:( I wish I could do something for you. The only thing I can say, and I'm sure others have said this too, is that in 1...or 5..or 20 years down the road, you'll be so incredibly happy to have the family you have. I know it doesn't help much right now...and you're probably sick of hearing all of this "It'll be ok" talk....but one day you'll look back and everything will be so different. So much love from me, coming your way~~~~

Begonia--sorry you are feeling down, just take baby steps...2 days of not crying is in the right direction. take all the time you need, as I recall DH was not opposed to trying again in a few years right? It's just the hormones that are getting to you right now, I find myself way more sensitive lately too, and when GD rears it's ugly head, that doesn't help!

Hope everyone is doing great. I'm going to my routine exam tomorrow I've been having what I think are Braxton Hicks but they can be quite uncomfortable and I get them a few times an hour. Hope my doctor can help ease my mind.

Ok I'll be back on later....can't wait for your scan DM!!!
We're getting ready for thanksgiving here...Happy holidays to everyone!

I just started to get BH's as well, GG. Mine usually start quite early and become painful once I'm into the third trimester. Have you had any early babies? If not, you most likely have nothing to worry about:) Just make sure you stay hydrated as that can make them worse. xoxo I hope you have a great Thanksgiving holiday!! OMG. Tell me about it...I've looked at more nubs in the past 4 weeks than I care to admit! Plus, I'm constantly checking my scan pics on here to see if I can a boy nub...it's ridiculous!!! Do you think you could bump your scan date up a week;) LOL! Sorry....I'm just on the edge of my seat...wanting to know if I'm right!!!! 26 days until your scan!!! I have the same cold going on... DS1 had it for a few days, DS2 has had it for just over a week, and so far I am at day 5. Hubby gets it next over the Holiday weekend. The great thing about it right now is I finally get to see my SIL and BIL while I am sick, payback for all the times they don't tell us they are sick and show up!

No, this was the earliest Saturday morning scan I could get! I thought about a ticker but decided that might prolong the agony!! I also don't want everyone to spot it and be waiting and then to have to come back and announce my sway didn't work! I'm going to be a complete loon by Christmas!!

I used an HPT today out of curiosity, and it was positive. Praying the HCG disappears soon....

Oh, and I'm officially stalking you, DM. What time's your appointment?

Thought I would take a little time to myself this morning and clear my head before my trip and my next cycle... I cramped all day yesterday really bad like when I was a teen and would curl up on the couch for hours and cry. I couldn't sleep much last night with more cramping, my cough, and poor DS2 having a bad dream. I am still in a little pain but I am hoping AF starts before the day ends.

My MIL called me to ask what I would help make for Thanksgiving Dinner because my SIL is only willing to make her vegan gravy (it's gross). I guess she has been busy baking breads and muffins for herself for a week and doesn't want to cook anymore... bla bla bla. Just like the last several years she isn't going to lift a finger for anyone but herself. So my MIL and I decided what we are going to make based on what we want. Turkey, Ham, Italian Greenbeans, Sweet Potatoes, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Matzo Stuffing, and Cranberry Jello Mold. The men are making the pies... I am so ready to eat. My SIL even called me to ask why I wont make the normal greenbean casserole or real stuffing and I told her that if she wants that then she should offer to make it... hehehe! I don't like normal stuffing and my boys can't have dairy so no casserole.

DS1 is trying to pack his own bag for Grandmas right now... and telling me "turn off the computer we have to get ready to go to grandmas house" and doing a little (huff with hand on his forehead) "OMG". I tried to tell him to pack clothing but he is filling his bag with toys... Ok my laughing is good for the day.

... Anyways I can't believe I have to deal with AF, cooking, and my SIL all at the same time. If you see me post anything during the next week then I am going to be in a bad mood.

mocha - i hope you are able to ttc again right away and that everything is returning to normal on your u/s. Sending healing thoughts your way.

z - sorry you're worrying about your nub shots - I have been the same way. It is hard not to obsess. Just remember that nubs are not an exact science and it still could go either way! (and I haven't seen your nub shots yet). you had a great sway!

b- sorry about the GD. It really, really sucks. I hope you are feeling better soon.

I haven't had any spotting since last Thursday! Hoping it is over now. I have a mw appointment next week so i'm looking forward to hearing the heartbeat. Now that I'm getting further along (14 wks), I'm starting to worry about GD. I'm still not sure if i will find out the gender with this baby or not. I found out with my first, not with my second, and they were both hard in their own way. I am leaning towards finding out because if it is a girl, I will have time to shop. Otherwise with three little ones, shopping will be hard. But that is such a superficial reason. I need to think it's a boy, so I'm not disappointed, but I just keep thinking girl.

Tweedle- So glad the spotting has gone! FX'd that's it's a pink bean you have in there!! You could find out in 3 weeks!!! Time flies!!!

Afm- this head cold is terrible:( I woke coughing and couldnt stop for 10 minutes. I feel like I did 100 situps in my sleep. I'll be so happy to be healthy again.
I hope the u/s place is ok with me bringing my 18mos old tomorrow...my close friend is watching my 2 older boys but she has 4 kids herself...wanted to lessen her workload. Hopefully he'll sit on the table and stay still....
Tomorrow can't come soon enough!!!

Hey ladies - I had the u/s today but I don't have any news. I asked the tech if everything looked ok and her response was "I'm not allowed to disclose anything". I hate that! It's my f***ing body!!!

Anyway, I have my doctor appointment scheduled for Friday, so I guess I'll find out then.

pp - sorry you're feeling so crappy. You too, DM - though the excitement of tomorrow must be helping make you feel a little better. I still have this horrible cough - it's going on 3 weeks now. I'm going to ask my doctor about it on Friday as well.

PP - I'm sorry you're having a rough time. I love hearing your food plans for Thanksgiving because I honestly have no idea what half the dishes are! Do you eat similarly for Christmas?

AFM - I just went on to the ultrasound website and there were appointments available that weren't there before so I've phoned and left a message asking if I can change my appointment to Thursday 8th December, in just over 2 weeks. Eek! My nausea has made a return these past couple of days when it's been gone for the past couple of weeks - what's that all about?!
