How's it going Mocha?! x x
Mocha I hope you are holding that lil one now. Just wanted to offer some encouragement. With DC #4 my midwife checked me and declared I was 3cm... she said she was going home to sleep! I was discouraged. Well 2 hours later I had my baby in my arms when my midwife walked back in the door after DH phoned her to tell her my waters had broken :)
How you doing Mocha? Hope you managed to get some rest xxx
Hobbers & Peony ~ my dog is on the mend thankfully but if it comes out again (which it has more chance of doing now its already been done) then she will need an operation to fix it. She was diagnosed with lupus early this year and is getting onto 8 years old so not sure how much she can go through :(
I totally feel like i been running round like a headless chicken the past week or so, but DH has been great and helped out where he can. He been doing the school run for the older 2 boys before he gone to work, which has been a great help.
As for the homebirth i really feel neglected and have loads of questions having never had one before, hopefully at my appt tomorrow i will get some answers! I like to be organised and if i need to get stuff in ready etc i like to have it ready but i cant do that if i dont know what to expect/get.
On the upside tho ladies i have pulled my finger out after my contractions last week, packed a hospital bag just incase and got all babies stuf out cleaned and ready :D
How are all you other ladies doing? Not long now before all these babies will be showing their gorgeous little faces....exciting!!!
Mocha, hopefully you are having your little girl right now :)
Mocha I sure hope your holding your precious Sadie by now :)
Hobber, how you doing!!
I'm sure Mocha won't mind me saying (as she did the same for me :D) that her darling daughter Sadie was born at 8.50am this morning, 8lb 2oz. Congratulations again!!
Yay! Congrats Mocha!!! Thanks for letting us know Z! :)
Congratulations Mocha on the birth of Sadie, cant wait to see her. Take it easy and enjoy her xxx
Hi ladies - Sadie and I are doing well. I went into active labour around 2am last night, and as Z said she was born at 8:50 this morning. She's a lovely, chubby baby with a full head of dark hair, and is nursing like a champ already. I'll write up my birth story later, but I'll just say I found labour way too intense after having only 2 hours sleep in a 60 hour period. When I was at 7 cm and feeling the full effects of the back labour, I opted for an epidural. What a difference! I have no regrets since I got to enjoy my last birth relatively pain free - I'm not sure I would have had the energy to push otherwise.
Congratulations Mocha!!

I went to my ob today and she has booked me in to be induced on tuesday the 9th of october my results are getting worse and I am a mess. I cant wait to feel a bit normal again. To top everything off I was up all night with gastro bug last night . Dont know what I have done to deserve all this! My blood pressure is very high also.
Oh no pinkin so sorry your not feeling too good at the moment, you sure have had a tough time this pregnancy :(. At least you now have a date and you know you will be holding your little man soon.
Mocha hope you are enjoying your bundle of cuteness :D
I have my midwife appt today and have written down all the questions i have about a homebirth and hopefully will get some answers. If not i wont be happy.
Hope all ladies and bubba's are well. Who is due next? Is it Hobbers? xxx
Mocha, so excited to see your little girl! And so glad she finally arrived...no doubt worth the wait, but I am not surprised you were exhausted. Hope she is sleepy for a while so you can catch up.
Pinkin, you could sure do with something going right. Gastro while pg is just awful. And that on top of everything else. Have you been taking your DH along to your appts? I know men are usually pretty clueless when it comes to women, let alone pg women, and I was wondering if he has any idea just what a tough time you are having? While pg with DS2 and after I had him, I had a lot of heart palpitations caused by sleep deprivation and fatigue. I had to see a cardiologist, have a stress test and wear a heart monitor for 24 hours. Afterwards, the cardiologist said "You need to get more help from your family to ease your workload" and then they paid attention and helped out. I had been saying how horrible I felt as the palpitations made me feel sick in the stomach and dizzy, but I guess they just thought I was whinging! Sometimes when it somes from someone else, they pay more attention. Your DH sounds as though he is still enjoying all his usual sports and social events, but you need him right now. You have less than 3 weeks to go!
Yeah Peony you have got that right! He just keeps going on about how tired he is because I keep him up all night ( tho he does get ALOT more sleep then me) He is also still recovering from a 3 day bender from the weekend!!! He is being sympathetic to some extent but really does not realise how horrible I feel. He told me to get out of bed the other night because I was keeping him awake and I am the one with the problem so I should go on the couch! I have been sleeping ha if you would even call it sleeping! In the lounge room for the last 4 nights. He has been to a few of my appointments but it is hard for him to get there with work. His sport most def comes first I can be honest and say that and it makes me so so angry!
I am very nervous now that there is a date set I just hope I can get some rest before then because we have such a busy september oh oh sorry I should say d/h has a very busy september!
Pinkin, I wish your DH would be more help! He sounds a little selfish, if you don't mind me saying. Men really don't understand what a toll pregnancy takes on us, but in your case, you really need more help than he is giving you, and with good reason! You have had a really rough time of it, and you NEED him! He can stop his sports for a while and help, can't he?
Glad you have a date set for you induction. I am sorry you are feeling so horrible, but it will be over in just a few weeks now!
Mocha, Lynxie and Auroara, post more pictures of your little ones! Hope you are all doing well with your babies!
I am 38 weeks now.... I am hoping my baby stays in until my step mom and best friend get here! They are coming on the 29th and 30th, so only about 10 days. I just want to make sure that someone is here to help with the other kids while DH and I go to the hospital. I have a few friends who can help in a pinch, but I really would rather my stepmom and best friend are here with the kids at home. Baby, stay put for just a while longer!
Pinkin - I'm so sorry you're so miserable. Your dh sounds a lot like mine - he was always complaining about how I kept him awake too - even during my 72 hour labour when the contractions were making it impossible to sleep!
Even last night, less than 12 hours after having a baby, I found myself doing almost the entire bedtime routine with my older boys solo while he worked on his computer. And today I had to drive him to and pick him up from work even though he could walk there in half an hour.
Anyway, things are wonderful with little Sadie. She's such a happy baby, and so alert and aware for a one day old. Her brothers love her so much. Last night she only woke up once all night, and all she needed was a diaper change - she didn't want to nurse at all in the middle of the night. I was concerned about her going so long between nursings, but her weight was looking great today and so my midwife said not to worry about it.
I'll post some more pictures in a bit.
Here are some other pictures of Sadie.
