This might be a silly question, but what form of soy do you mean? Thanks!

Soy isoflavones
Looking back I was so girl all the way. Except I skipped dinner not breakfast. Love carbs and protein was only an egg or chicken no red meat. Was not weight training at that time or exercising much. My mostly carb diet made me tired and depressed and skinny fat. I have low libido and even tho I was newly wed I think we did it once in fertile period although it was a long cut off. Like 5 or more days probably. I was drinking a few times a week. And highly emotional feeling like a victim as I had a hard adjustment to marriage my husband is a a type perfectionist and I'm a hot mess haha. He's fab tho.
Soy isoflavones. I am not recommending them for swaying for the average person because it has caused a lot of side effects but they are like a "poor gal's Clomid" for people who are having trouble ovulating (some people have taken vitex nonstop for months on end and stopped ovulating and their docs would not give them Clomid, so they used soy iso instead).
Thanks! I think I might give soy a try. I'm getting pos OPKs and a temp spike, but it goes back down after about 4 days. Hoping soy will help!
Do not start till AF comes though. VERY IMPORTANT.
Atomic my af is on 7 th and last 4 days approx. i O on 24 th of every month. So should i start dtd every 4 th day after AF. Doesnt it sway blue?or should i abtrain?
My Dh is 41 and is on LR
NO abstain for DH at 41.
If you're doing every 4 day method then you'd start after AF and do every 4 days.
If you aren't doing every 4 day method, you could have DH do daily release or every 2-4 day release, then have one attempt at pos OPK
I can't give you advice without knowing the method you are using and why
yes to start, we can always add more attempts
My husband is 39 will be 40 in January I know we didn't DTD for about 5-6 days and then did it once around ovulation, Maybe day of I think so that is one attempt? Even though it was abstained for 7 days. I know you advice against that for older men. Is it because of their sperm can effect and cause miscarriage?
I have one daughter and one son. There was no major difference between my diets and timing (we always had sex once every 1-2 days) before conceiving them. But before my DD I used a birth control pill for around 6 months, and then metformin (I have PCOS) for around 8 months. With my DS I didn't use any of these. So in my case, I think it's related to the pills or metformin or just pure luck.
Yes that is still one attempt

Ok, since I am pregnant of my sweet baby girl, who is btw a very good baby, she only kicks in the mornings for a couple of hours lol (almost 8 months pregnant now), I have been reading a lot A LOT nd would like to add my unintentional sway for a baby girl :DD: .
We moved last year from a big city where you could buy good red meat anywhere, nice vegetables, find many good restaurants and a variety or rice! Yes I am a big sucker for meat, rice and potatoes with loads of salt, avocado, vegetable salad and fruit salad with SALT.
Unfortunately, that changed as soon as we moved to this tiny Island, where the quality of meat is poor and therefore, we barely ate meat, we barely snacked due to full-time job, we stopped having breakfast in the mornings as soon as I started working 40 hours a week, had two chai tea lattes every day and two cups of coffees with sugar, no candies at all and no cookies anymore. Our dinner consisted of soup with some bread and some salad, but no meat, no high salt, not a big amount of vegetables nor fruit. I was also on a diet and tried to avoid many carbs, fat, salt, sugar etc. Sometimes we had pasta with vegetable, but no snacks at all and the last few weeks before our deed, I had many fruit shakes and cereal as dinner...My immune system became pretty weak I must say, many headaches, no vitamins intakes at all, not many fruit, maybe one banana in the morning with coffee as 'breakfast' (around 11 at work). Lunch: usually some bread with tuna or soup.
I don't remember everything in details. We were in general everything LOW. However, we did do a lot of walking as it's hard to buy a decent car here and I went a few times to the gym where I mostly did cardio workouts.
I believe that is how I got my surprise baby girl. She was not planned and we did the pull out method. Neither was I aware of any sway.
I believe 100% in the methods and I am sure if one follows it religiously, they will get their dream baby.
So, i didnt sway this time (total surprise pregnancy) but ended up with the DG that i tried to sway and got an opposite last year so i thought I'd post my info too (even though i wasnt intentionally swaying at all). Maybe it will be helpful to someone :)
So last year i did a full out girl sway and did everything by the book, religiously, except for the exercise component. I ended up with a boy.
For this surprise pregnancy (that i now know is a girl) this is what i was doing at the time:
Diet- calories (1200-1400/day) but no restrictions on food. If anything i was probably fairly healthy eating a lot of protein, healthy veggies, nuts, etc. I was tracking my calories/foods because i was trying to lose some weight but was pretty balanced between carbs/proteins/fats. Drank at least 1 venti starbucks/day so lots of caffeine. Took multivitamin.
Exercise- like a crazy person lol. 5+ times a week of intense cardio (at least an hour at a time) and light weights as well as barre classes.
BD- well before i ever got a positive on an OPK. We only did it twice all month so i know baby came from BD on either O-5 or O-3.
Since we BD'd so far from O i thought there was no chance id get pregnant but surprise! :) We are super excited!
Congratulations ! Have taken note of the posts on here it's proving exercise is so important swaying pink which is so encouraging for me to keep going !
Thanks for posting! Xxx

I am new to swaying pink but I had a question about my copper IUD. I thought that I read somewhere that the Mirena sways pink but does the copper IUD? I haven't taken it out yet as I am waiting to start the diet. Just curious how the IUDs sway. Thanks!
I lurked these boards and read up on everything when we were TTC. I am currently (almost) 14 weeks pregnant and we found out via NIPT that this baby is a healthy baby girl.
I did sway pretty hard for 6 months. I cut out breakfast, I am thin to start with so I didn't want to go crazy with the diet, but I did try to do a LE diet. I cut out potatoes and tomatoes and didn't eat things with a lot of salt. When I got routine bloodwork done, I found out that I was border-line vitamin D deficient, so I was take a vitamin d pill every other day. I wasn't taking any type of multivitamin, but since I did have short cycles, I was taking a vitamin b-complex with vitamin c to help lengthen my LP.
For the first 6 months I was using rephresh and really only dtd once in my fertile window.
We weren't getting pregnant, and I was getting impatient and getting my period was depressing me every month. So during the 7th month of TTC I cut out the rephresh and I started to eat a small breakfast. I either had a bowl of strawberries or toast with almond butter. I never eat red meat, so we pretty much ate vegetarian. My husband rarely eats red meat as well, since we don't cook it in this house. So it was more like a modified diet.
I didn't exercise. I was just starting work again (I'm a teacher), so I wasn't getting as much sleep as I was during the summer. Also, since I was starting work back up, I wasn't as obsessed with TTC.
The month that we got pregnant we pretty much DTD every day in my fertile window, it was a good 5 days in a row. I didn't jump and dump. We always DTD missionary.
After I found out I was pregnant I looked at my biorhythms for when I ovulated and it leaned girl. we were in the period between new moon and full moon (which I read sways girl).
That's about it. I can't think of anything else. I was ecstatic when we found out that this little one was a girl though!
ETA: I was taking baby aspirin every morning as well and did not orgasm. I also remember reading somewhere that sleeping on your left swayed girl, so I was purposely sleeping on my left. For fun I had a girl outfit under the bed as well, but I don't know if that had anything to do with it.
I had never heard of or believed in swaying up until last year so i was not tracking ovulation. I always assumed based on average cycle lengths as to my most likely O date. I was in residency training so looooong hours, stress, sleepless nights never time to eat. Always had breakfast but would skip lunches and dinners regularly. Lived on low calorie snack and carbs mostly. Very little protein. No exercise. Zero muscle mass. Loosing weight by the day. Anemic. And no supplements.
Since hubby and i barely got to see each other (he was a resident too and we would be doing opposite days and night shifts) we only managed one attempt closest to what i felt was my O date. And we had long periods of abstence inbetween bcoz of crazy work life.
The copper IUD is shown to raise estrogen levels toward estrogen dominance and decrease progesterone receptibily so I would assume it sways blue based on that.
We are not finding that the whole estrogen/progesterone notion is at all reliable for swaying purposes. We are getting stellar results with things like coffee and alcohol for swaying pink despite their supposed contributions to estrogen dominance and also have TONS of people getting girls with perilously short LP's so I find this to no longer be plausible, at least the way it's said to work on some swaying sites.
What we need to remember, when researching swaying, is that a lot of what we used to believe was swaying was only theoretical. Theoretical with little to no data to back it up at all, and people start getting SO focused on chasing the theoretical reasons that they lose sight of doing what is actually WORKING. We don't KNOW that high estrogen, low progesterone sways blue. It was one theory with very sparse evidence backing it up. So don't get so focused on chasing that hormonal profile that one ends up missing the forest for the trees. :)
I would guess copper IUDs sway very mildly pink for the first month or two after removal. Definitely much less of an effect than the hormonal IUDs IMO. FWIW, I conceived B/G twins two cycles after removing my copper IUD, but one was ectopic so I miscarried both. I don't believe the EP was due to the IUD as it was ovarian, the egg never fully detached from my ovary, supposedly.
Any PCOS moms out there that swayed pink and conceived a girl? Or that conceived girls naturally?
Yes we've gotten good results with PCOSers, we'd see what needed to be tweaked, Luv.
Definitely an unintentional sway since I didn't know about swaying yet and actually really wanted a boy... but also really wanted to get pregnant and did right away!
Conceived on second cycle after hormonal BC (pill - Mcirogestin), so first cycle trying.
Had sex 4-5 times during predicted "fertile window" by Ovia Fertility App. Had had sex maybe 1-2 times before then. Fairly certain all finished in missionary.
I always had an O first ;)
Only other signs of ovulation were EWCM throughout this time (I swear, several days worth) and, uh, general friskiness.
Was very hot weather and we didn't have our A/C on -- maybe had an impact on both of us? Definitely some sweaty days/nights...
Fairly certain the BD that led to conception was 4 days before ovulation... otherwise, it MAY have been the day of, but unfortunately -- between LMP and dating scan being about a week off, and then baby consistently measuring right between those -- I might never know!
Lifted weights 4x a week (heavy weights; 30-45 minute sessions). TONS of cardio -- 2-4 hours of team sports a week on top of lifting on top of routinely biking 60-120 minutes a week. Also scattered swimming and hiking during this period. And lawn mowing, even!
Ate no red meat ever. Caffeine was mixed -- either tons or minimal. Usually just coffee or diet pop.
Lots of artificial sweetners.
VERY minimal calories -- I was dealing with an ED relapse and had anywhere from 0-1500 calories a day with occasional high days. None of these counts counted in the calories burned from exercise, either :/
Ate generally one big meal a day; never ate breakfast. Ever.
Never snacked.
Never ate salty food ever -- was always worried about water retention.
Lactose intolerant, so minimal dairy, but not necessarily minimal calcium.
SO was the most stressed he'd ever been -- had even started therapy before switching to a much better job.
Alcohol? (we only ever drink red wine or unfiltered craft beer full of B vitamins -- still not sure how that plays out still, but SO was definitely having some form of libation, even in small amounts, everyday. As, er, was I.)
SO occasionally was smoking cigars and pipes much more than he ever had
SO was spending lots of time sailing on boat, got much tanner than normal -- good on Vitamin D, I'm sure, but also warmth issue again?
Also had a very early, faint BFP -- 8DPO, or 3w1d of pregnancy.
Things that MAY have pointed boy but clearly paled compared to everything else:
90% of my symptoms based on OWT, including Chinese Gender Predictor, cravings, left side/left boob, etc.
Husband most likely has very high T -- bald, super bearded, hairy, still occasionally has acne, very naturally muscular, tall, aggressive, competitive, athletic, able to get hard at the drop of a hat, no issues with sex drive, etc.
Despite my low weight struggles/behaviors, I have lifted weights for years -- not visibly muscular though (and rather shrimpy), though I am strong!
Pretty good on veggies
Panther, interestingly we have NOT seen a strong trend with baldness = sons. (just think Bruce Willis, he has 5 girls!) I am questioning for a variety of reasons, that male T levels even sway blue at all, just thought you'd be interested.
I lurked this board and got all my swaying info from here and i have a confirmed GIRL!!! I am so glad i found this site, so i had to make an acct just to share my seay, because i truly felt this info helped.
I will add all i remember:
-I skipped breakfast, but did eat a granola bar before my 9am workouts
-I was breastfeeding my son and consistently losing weight for 3 months leading up to bfp
-Limited my caffeine a lot compared to what i used to drink
-Very rarely ate any red meat while swaying, which i used to eat a lot of (especially when i got my son). I cut back a lot on sodium and potatoes, which i also used to eat a ton of
-kept track of ph
-charted temps w/bbt
-took calcium, magnesium and folic acid
-took Rephresh the month i got bfp every 3 days. The day we dtd, i split tr applicator between prior to dtd and just after. Prior to that i used replens, but rephresh maintained my ph.
-used opk's to be sure i didn't have a + on dtd day since my cycle ranged due to breastfeeding, but ended up dtd right after 1st + opk, which i thought was going to kill my chances
-dh took nothing, but did FR (not with me) for 7 days leading up to dtd.
-dh took hot shower prior to dtd
-no O for me
-we did missionary and shallow release and j&d a few minutes after dtd
-exercised an hr 5-6 days/wk
-we only did 1 active try each month. No dtd anywhere around O day otherwise. It took 3 months because the 1st 2 i ended up dtd 6-7 days before O because of wacky cycles f/bf'ing
Please fill out the official post your sway questionnaire in the post your sway forum! Congrats on your girl!
Adding to the spreadsheet is great but doing an add your sway too really helps people visualize what you did in its entirety. Jsut go to Add your sway section and it's all self-explanatory (whenever and if you have time)
So, this will be long.... Sorry
How I got my girls...
Start with DH is in the Army and is an Military Policeman (I read that police officers have more girls, somewhere), sits in a patrol vehicle for at least 8hr a day. Sometimes 12 hr shifts, works terrible rotating shift schedules, so, his eating is really sporadic and sometimes just not very healthy. Also, when he does PT it's mostly cardio or weights separate :/. (Trying to get him to change this!). Furthermore, because of Iraq he almost refusing to take a shower less than scolding hot! While downrange he was exposed to radioactive rays that would sends pulses to detonate IEDs before they hit the convoy. When we began TTCing he joked he probably couldn't have kids because of this. Not a smoker or a drinker, has Starbucks here and there, and maybe red bull occasionally. Always under stress because of work.
Overall Diet:
*LOTS, LOTS, LOTS OF DIET COKE!!!!!
*I ate breakfast, but it lasted alllllll morning long.
*Ate salads for lunch with protein. Low cal dressings like Italian.
*Tons of veggies
*Always eating meat, but mostly chicken.
*Lots of protien without a carb.
*Low-cal, 0 saturated fat, low-fat.
*Not much milk, if any, then low fat milk.
*No juice... hardly ever.
*I was more of a snacker, just not big snacks and mostly just carbs or just protein.
Key Factors:
*Not doing cardio and weights together. Not on a great exercise regime.
*Not a lot of EWCM.
*Mostly felt hungry
*Not a great BDing pattern, either too much or not enough.
On to me...DD#1, We started TTCing in may 2010 didn't conceive until end of November 2010, so, took 6 months. I had become a diet coke super fan, enjoyed coffee with splenda, and just water. Not a milk fan. My diet was basically the LE diet. I always eat meat, but was eating a lot of chicken if I ate meat. I would eat carbs by themselves. I would eat breakfast, just something small. Little extra exercising, but always very active. Maintaining my weight or losing weight. At this time, I noticed my muscle mass getting smaller (still had an petite-athletic build). Always in the A/C. I had also stopped all alcohol. Not very stressed out, and was not feeling competitive at all, however, DH was because he fighting to become promoted. Sex, missionary not super close to cervix, not many attempts, o-3 I think...
DD#2, she was not planned or avoided. We had just starting talking about trying again and we were going to sway but hadn't started, yet. Life was pretty good. DH stress levels were lower around this time. Conceived in March (I conceived DS in April). I was nursing DD#1 at the time, about 3-4 times a day. I was working 12hrs shift at an ER as a CNA when she was conceived. Most days I ate as soon as I got to work, and snacked throughout the days. However, if we had critical patients I wasn't eating. Looking, back I was eating alot of 'fat-free', low cal, 0 trans fat. Overall, my cal count was on average 1600-1800. Drinking coffee, at home switch to Truvia but at work used whatever they had and creamer, TONS of Diet Coke. Was active with the kids, but not on a regular work out regime, and no weights. My cycle was pretty regular and I pretty sure she was a one time attempt, not purposely.
DD#3, She was our girl we were starting to sway but it was more of a confused mix of Ingender and genderdreaming and relying probably too much on timing but got pregnant pretty quickly. I was nursing DD#2 2-3 times a day. We were under tremendous amounts of stress because of stationed in Korea... we're 15 miles from North Korea, so, DH is on missions all the time, but it had just weaned off a bit around the holidays. I had just started working as a Facility Manager of a digital training facility (working on computers--- all those positive ions ), I was feeling way more competitive.
I was drinking coffee but just started green tea, Korean green tea, which later to find out was a green tea latte' (haha, this is what happens when you can't read Hangul). Just started supps, prenatal, vit d, potassium, folic acid (which plus my diet are prefect for girl swaying). I had started adjusting my diet, more calories but due to Ingender... more empty calories, too. I would eat peanut butter and wheat toast alllllll morning long with like 3 cups of coffee, still with natural creamer and truvia and just water. DTD... from behind. We started trying after my first PP cycle and I o'd late. Was using a tracker, and ovulation tests and I thought I got a pos but nope I got a blaring pos days later. I wish we would have just let that cycle go and really got into swaying but she was meant to be.
Good luck ladies... take all my pink dust!
Been Diet Soda free since Jan 1st 2016, traded for Green Tea, Lemon Water and Juice :bluecheer:
Super nervous about possibly swaying again, changing such a girl friendly life style for 5-6 years :nails:...
Got my girl with Atomics help.
Thats is all I need to say.
THANK YOU!
[emoji166]
bre I do find police and fire have more girls, if you see that in a study ever I'd love to read it.
Thank you so much ladies, your experiences are so helpful, keep them coming! :)
