Hi all. I am currently 3dpo & this is our first cycle ttc swaying boy. We have 3 beautiful girls & this will be our last baby. I would love a boy, but DH in particular really, really craves a boy. My GD isn't too bad but it is DH I worry about if our last baby is another girl. I know he will love the baby regardless but feel that there will be a part of him that will always be a bit disappointed IYKWIM. We tried shettles with our 3rd daughter (even though we ended up BD more than just O day as I was getting impatient that it was taking a couple of cycles to get preg) & obviously it didn't work, so this time around I have done a lot more research. DH still couldn't really let go of the shettles timing though so we were using condoms until I got my +opk. We BD night of +opk (0-2), the next morning (0-1) & then the night of O. I was hoping to get more attempts than that in but unfortunately DH was sick, he ended up on anti-biotics & was working a lot too so was too exhausted. Why oh why did he have to get sick just before O time. I have been on HE diet for quite awhile now, we were going to ttc last cycle but things just weren't right with my sway yet. I was going to try to hold out until 10dpo to test (27th) but doubt I will be able to hold out that long. Will probably start at 7/8 dpo just to see if I can see any squinters lol. I can be a bit of a poas addict.

Congratulations to those who have already got their bfp & sorry to hear of those who have suffered losses or got bfn's. Fingers crossed for some more bfp's in the near future.
Quinn this looks like a 10dpo test to me. At 12dpo my FRER was pretty dark. I bet you'll have nice dark lines in 48 hours! Congrats!!!Quote:

Welcome farmgirl!! I'm also swaying boy and mostly for my dh. I would love for us to have a boy because he's always wanted one and he's great with our girls. He's been so sad each time we had girls.

So I caved and did a test at 10dpo but only a 2 hour hold. I can see a super faint line but I think its that famous frer shadow line.

I pulled it apart and it looks like it was just the shadow.
It wasn't a big hold but my urine looked concentrated. I have no idea if that would mean more posdible hcg or not?

Farm girl- welcome. I had 2 boys dtd every other day, I think 3-4 days in a row sound good. It takes sperm 24 hours to replenish so don't over do it!

I suppose just to make sure, try testing again with a longer hold? At least that's what I would do. Or wait till 12dpo as well as keep a longer hold before testing again.Quote:

Well now I have the pre-AF backache / crampy pains happing and I just had some spotting too so I'm guessing I'm out for this month. Obviously it was just a shadow line...

It normally starts 11 or 12 dpo so maybe I will get AF Tuesday. Sometimes I have an 11 day LP. Very occasionally it is 10 days.

Purple I had some red spotting on 9dpo and was sure it meant I was out. I've had the same thing on cycles where af comes.

I hope the spotting is just from implantation Purple! Cramps don't always mean AF is coming. I had the worst cramps with DS1 around 11/12 dpo and I was so sure AF was on her way that I had a glass of wine! FX for you! :)
Got a high reading on the advanced OPK this morning at cd19 which is earlier than last cycle. I probably won't ovulate for several more days though since I seem to get 4-5 days of high readings before peak.
Ooh fingers crossed it's a true line we are all seeing purple. Yay!

Feeling just a bit silly! Who on earth tears up and gets emotional when they hear john lennons Christmas song on the radio hahaha!! Then I started thinking how much I love my little family and nearly burst into tears!! Had that awful lump in the throat and everything [emoji23] so happy I was the only one in the car!! So I tested this morning at 7dpo and as expected was a bfn. Bring on tomorrow morning when the real testing begins!!

No more spotting other than a tiny tint in my cm this morning but I'm in no way hopeful. It is good to hear that others have felt really crampy at 10/11dpo though. I realised if next cycle is like this one I would be due for AF pretty much on my m/c DD... I can already image the emotional wreak I will be then, good thing I'm on leave from work then.

Purple I cant believe you havent tested again!! 10dpo is a prime time for implantation and could very well explain your spotting. I still have faith and everything crossed for you!!
I hate wasting hpts, I even got them pretty cheap for frers but I still don't want to waste them.
I got them from pharmacy direct I think... $8.95 for a 3 pack but they only have one store somewhere in Sydney. I ordered other stuff I needed to get free postage. Might be worth you doing a bulk order :)

I have been known to be a POAS addict too but I will not be testing until period is due !!! Or I might even wait and see if I miss my period. I cant stand having these faint evap lines its really depressing

I tested on Friday 11dpo and it was negative. Haven't tested after that. I'm pretty sure I'm out. I've been crampy almost a week now. AF is due around Tuesday. I'm disappointed, I really wanted to be pregnant now and enjoy Christmas. I had a cheat day today, we had DS1's birthday. Also planning to have a cheat day on Christmas Eve. I feel like I'm more relaxed about LE and all this swaying stuff. Even though most of the days I'm pretty strict with my diet. But I think I'm in a place where I don't obsess about my sway anymore and that's a good thing.
Just checked the pharmacy direct website and it doesn't look like they have the cheap frers now :(

I see the shadow! For clear urine that's a fairly dark line. I wouldn't worry yet!
The RE just called to say my hcg was 20. Not looking good. I'm either 12 or 14 dpo and with my dd I was at 331 at 15 dpo. Say a prayer or think good thoughts for me.

Oh quinn I'm sorry! Sending positive sticky vibes your way! Hope you've just got a slow cooker in there. Please don't do anymore tests with diluted urine, try and stick with fmu if you can, seeing a lighter test with near clear urine is only going to heighten your stress. (Hugs)
