Regarding intuition, well said! I think it’s there for everyone as long as we tune out all the other noise! Hoping you’re truly just feeling your impending little girl. I’m not sure if you know about DoulaMama’s story or not but she was putting off TTC b/c she really wanted to go to a Doula conference next spring so she book all the tix (even plane tix!), then she had a dream of a little girl telling her, “Don’t go!!!”…Doula was thinking to herself, “Who are you and don’t go where???” then a wk or so later, she got a surprise BFP! I truly believe it was her little girl telling her not to book those tix b/c she would be born around that time. A few wks ago, Doula found out she indeed is expecting a GIRL next April!

I’ve never seen that show (and will now have to watch it, lol) but I’m w/your hubbie! I’m so scared that once I get my wish, she’ll turn into something like that! I’m quite sure your DH will be smitten w/your sweet girl when he sees her for the first time. His heart will be stolen for life!!!

The first few times I used RepHresh, I got the curds as well. I just left 'em up there and I think they went away. After I was using RepHresh for a few days, I stopped getting more curds.

Mocha, I LOVE the idea! I need to become a dream member! Because of what rephresh did to my area last month, I am thinking of dropping it and using antihistime to "dry" me up and then maybe use a little bit of sylk to help? (the one month I used zyrtec it dried me up so much that hubby was having a hard time with...you know....) Would love opinions on the new plan!

Yesterday afternoon, I got another +OPK and it was an even stronger line than the previous day. I got an additional temp spike this early a.m. so I'm pretty sure I O'd yesterday or early today sometime. I put more RepHresh in yesterday a.m. and we BD again last night to give it one last shot. I came :oops: but at least he'd not come yet. No regrets...just hoping I get preg!

I think some of you were asking what I did w/my sway. My chart below shows a lot. I don't do many things including checking pH, low dose aspirin or SP b/c I'm still BF (6-8x a day). I have been taking Vitex since late Oct. I've been doing the LE diet and skipping breakfast for about a month or so and also drinking Peppermint tea. DH has been taking just a bit of Lic Root and cranberry tabs and began to release when AF was here and once it stopped, we began our BD marathon. Although RePhresh lasts 72 hrs, I've been using a bit almost every a.m. and BD almost every night. We've also been using Sylk. B/c I've had EWCM, been doing a LOT of BD and I think I'm pretty fertile, I chose to use RepHresh/Sylk so frequently. I have no idea what'll come of this but if there's no BFP this time, I'll scale back on the RepHresh for sure. I know I have a really weird sway...just felt right so I went w/it :p

KD, I think Rephresh can be good, but I don't think I'm gonna get pg with it very fast, so I'm becoming more sure about dropping it....

And Jen, I have the same kind of fear. You know that old saying "be careful waht you wish for"? What if the little girl I dream about so much ends up breaking my heart? I'm hoping, if given a chance to have a girl, to raise her right and teach her the right things, but still it does concern me a little. Oh well, I am just going to stay focused on the postives of having a girl!

One of my students (I work in a career college as a librarian) and I were talking and she's on her 7th pregnancy. She had G G B G B G and this pregnacny is B. I asked her since she had so many kids if she did anything differently with them, eat different foods, worked out, etc etc, and she said to me that she's never changed her habits or her behaviors. Although I am assuming that there are different fathers at play for some of them, she swears up and down that nothing noticeable changed with her. She is on the heavy side as well.

She says she's going to try to have 3 more :holysheep:

Anyway, obviously this is not conclusive, because she may have been doing minorly different things and not have paid any mind, but her theory was that sex selection was very random and a "luck of the draw" kind of thing.

Obviously, I believe swaying can help, but it just drives me crazy to think about how little we still really know why a certain sperm gets the egg, you know?

Yep...it freaks me out sometimes but I think just trying to get a picture in my head of what I want my daughter to be like helps put my fears to rest. You're right! If we raise her right, she'll be a gem! I really believe that! Keep thinking positive and creating your daughter in your head! She'll be on her way to you soon! :HH:

Jen, I think your sway sounds awesome! I really love this website and the freedom it gives about making the sway plan that works best for you. Because of the end of the day, each woman has to feel good about what she did to sway.

I know!!! Yesterday I had a horrifying thought. You know how keeping blood sugar sways girl? What if it's just the blood sugar at the time of conception? Like if you eat all the time but just happen to eat a light dinner and your BS is low, pop an egg in the a.m. before you get a chance to eat breakfast and voila...normally you would have gotten a boy but b/c your BS happened to be low at the time, you got a girl! I was kind of freaked out to eat dinner last night when I was thinking about this (but I ate!). I'm sure it cannot work this way but I'm always thinking of things like this b/c we just don't have the answers!

Wow I would love to have that many kids but I'd want to be able to support them (financially and emotionally) comfortably and I'm just worried I couldn't. I have a friend that had 5 girls and then 2 boys the first two girls were from two different fathers and then the remaining 5 (3 girls 2 boys) were all from the same (a 3rd) father. I was her nanny and lived with her for a few years, she is very thin and eats very little and not nutritional things either. She would go a whole day with just eating some chocolate cake and drinking like 6 dr peppers. I really don't know what would have changed between the girls and the boys. My doula with my last pregnancy has 11 kids she had 4 girls then 2 boys then 4 more girls and then a boy. So thats 8 girls 3 boys. She is a very healthy eater and fairly average size. She never tried to sway in any way so I guess it really is just luck of the draw the majority of the time. Almost forget my mother in law also had 6 girls and then 1 boy at the end it's crazy how it all works out.

I think atomic once said any flavour but the iced tea ones are good choices (maybe because they have caffeine?). My favourite is the raspberry ice!

I agree completely! I was a longtime IG member before coming here, and swayed for ds3 while on that site. I found there there's a lot less flexibility about what makes a good sway. Basically, it's Tamara's way or the highway (not to criticize Tamara, who really is lovely and works very hard to help the women on that site). I'm just happier here were we're encouraged to find the best sway *for us*.

Atomic addressed this specifically recently - someone was asking whether it would be better to BD in the morning when out blood sugar is lowest. She said it doesn't matter whether you've just eaten when you BD. I'll try to find the thread and post a link if I'm successful. So....don't worry - you had an awesome sway, Jen!

How long can you get +OPKs? I am still getting them as of my last around 1:30 today. See pic. Does this mean I have not Oed yet? Maybe this is why there is no PEAK on my fertility monitor?Attachment 947

I had this question last cycle as I had 4 days of positive OPKs so I would like to see what you find out. I know it is probably somewhere in the thread but how many days of positives have you had?

I'm back from my u/s, and the tech says my uterus looks clear! The doctor will still look at the results, so it's possible she's wrong, but I'm really feeling hopeful. This u/s place was sooooooo much better - they took me immediately, no waiting - even though I'd brought the wrong requisition with me (I mistakenly picked up my old, unused NT requisition from the midwives when leaving for my appointment). My tech was sympathetic and chatted with me the whole time about my m/c - she had two herself so she really understood. She agreed that the other place I go has nasty techs (remember I told you all about how when I went literally hours after my m/c the woman didn't say 'I'm sorry' even once and just yelled at me for not having a full bladder??) - she said she used to work there and quit because she hated her co-workers. I'm definitely asking my midwives to only send me to this new place with my next pregnancy. As an added bonus - they do the bloodwork right there too!

Oh, I forgot to mention the new hitch in my plan. My BIL has just announced that he might be getting married next October 6th! If I get my BFP this cycle, my DD will be something like September 15th, so I'll be still be ballooned up and feeling like crap when the wedding rolls around. All I need is a ton of family pictures recording those first weeks postpartum when you have no sleep and tons of weight to lose! Oh well, a BFP this cycle would be worth it! :luck:

That's awesome I've dealt with rude U/S techs and I can't imagine dealing with them while also going through such a hard time. But I'm glad you had a good experience this time. And I think you're definitely right a BFP would be well worth the pics (although I'm sure you'll look great even still)!

I just got another +OPK...?!?!? I thought I'd O'd already b/c of the temp shift. This is like the never ending O...Will I ever officially make it to the 2ww lol!?!

Jen - I'm fairly sure I've gotten +OPKs for a few days after I O before. I say keep BD-ing just in case, but I think you'll probably get your crosshairs tomorrow.

Yeah...that's the plan...we're used to it by now and it'll be weird to scale back...Guess we don't have to and now I can have big O's :cool: I'm just so happy I didn't scare my O away!!!

I once had + OPKs for 7 days in a row, it was annoying! I don't think I ever O'ed that cycle either, it was one of my first cycles after having DS2.

Mocha, I understand how you feel about the possible wedding and being postpartam! But having your baby is soooo worth it!!

I'm on CD10 so I should be O'ing within the next week or so. I have a cycle that varies so I'm never exactly sure, my last two cycles have been kind of long but I had also been really stressed (taking my CPA exam) so I think that might have delayed O. But right now I have a little cold, all stuffed up so I'm not sure if that is going to affect me but we shall see. I started doing OPKs yesterday and they have very visible 2 lines that seems like it could be a start to a fade in (todays was just slightly darker than yesterdays) then again sometimes they stay "almost positive" for a while so who knows.

Thanks, Z :HH:. When I told the tech that story today she said she's heard a shockingly high number of complaints like that about the other u/s place. It was just so nice to have a tech who 'gets it', having had 2 m/cs of her own.

i think your intuition, is usually right, i knew my first 3 were boys right from day 1, my 4th i thought maybe girl, untill about 15-16 weeks ,then i was like , no its def a boy, and then when i went for my scan a month later there were boy bits everywhere...lol

this time im not sure, at first i thought boy, and i was happy to convince myself that it was another boy, but the last few weeks im thinking girl, and im not sure if its intuition kicking in , or if its just desire taking over.
im trying really hard not to get my hopes up for pink, but i just cant seem to stop it.....

I agree I'm having a hard time keeping up as well. But I also agree with intuition but it's hard to trust it when you have desire mixed in there. With DS1 my husband wanted a boy so bad I thought he would have a hard time coping if it was a girl so my worry of him having a hard time really clouded what I knew was true. So I won't say I was 100% positive but we did buy "boy" bedding before we found out (it was a really great deal) and only looked at boy names, I felt like deep down I just knew but I was still worried I was wrong. With DS2 I remember the exact moment I knew he was our 2nd little boy. My DH, sister and several others were saying they knew it was a girl and then one night in the bath a few weeks before our ultrasound (we had it done at 15 weeks at one of those paid places) I was sitting with my hands on my belly completely relaxed and I just got this feeling that I knew he was a boy and I was not surprised in the least when they told me.

I think this is why I am so confused what to eat and when to bd and how often etc!
I am also worried about raising ph by dtd too often!
I used rephresh on Tuesday, bd on Wed and now today I feel o coming on....so, no FR, just abstinence!
Any thoughts!?
I also feel like it is luck.....and swaying just sways a little and yet, I invest so much in it! It is crazy!

I really worry about this as well and to me falls into the 'luck' part of swaying on what time of day you pop the egg. I guess it is something I can't do anything about so try not to worry about it! xx

Well...maybe I spoke too hastily. I just started spotting again :(. I'm hoping it was just irritation from the internal u/s - it's really minor and just pink when I wipe. I'm so sick of this - I don't want to see any blood on my toilet paper again until after I have a baby in my arms!

Hi Lemon, still here..... Just coming out of the 2WW with a BFN. Think I will be back to CD1 tomorrow...

We DTD for 3 days straight but with DH releasing first before the first 2 attempts.

What did you decide to do in the end? xx
