You never know! The older you get, the higher your chances of twins.:)

TTC5 its still too early to do any home tests. If you go to the doc to ask about your poopy problem, they may dismiss your blood test request unless you lie and tell them AF is late, even then they will probably get you to POAS first, which will probably come up negative because you are only 8dpo.

That reasoning is pretty good hon! Just can't fight the desire to join the TTC a Girl forum so that I actually have a sucess for a change rofl. I will keep up with my sway....I believe swaying boy is healthier for any gender baby anyway, and results in a quicker BFP!! I hope the readings that said girl were wrong for you and Cara was spot on!!

Flava, I got a couple of DVD's to work out with in addition to some strength training and I am really enjoying them. My fav is a Bar Method DVD... Challenging but not over the top. I am loving how my body is starting to look :)

AFM - my temps are still low so I def did not ovulate. I am not sure what is going on, I have been feeling crampy the past few days so maybe AF is getting ready to start. It's driving me nuts to feel like I'm not sure what's happening with my own body. In a way I will be happy to be back to my clockwork cycles, AF visits and all!

If i was to take a psychic reading seriously i would need to see testimonial after testimonial that this person has a success rate of 100% when predicting the gender of unconcieved children. They have as much credibility as Joe Blow walking down the street, taking a guess is easy, its a guess. My sister was told by 3 different psychics that she would have a girl for her 3rd, guess what, she had a boy. These people are taking money from vulnurable people who desperatly want to hear what they want to hear, and some keep going until they hear the right guess.

I am also very worried about egg white and instead cup choices....never tried before...I am confused between these two options...any suggestions are welcome.
1) insert egg white inside and then DTD directly inside.
2) Collect semen in instead cup and then layer with egg white and push the cup inside.

please suggest which one is better.

I personally think it's best for DH to deposit as close to your cervix as possible instead of inside the instead cup. I put in the instead cup afterwards to hold everything up there for a few hours after BD!

I agree. I only used the instead cup when I needed to get up afterwards, but if I was just laying down for the night, I didn't mess with it. It is up to you!

I have a blockage/obstruction been given some FLEET (phospho soda) and if that doesn't work hopsital I go. Nothing is in my bowel hence the no urge to go its all blocked in the intestines. I'm also getting tested next week my thyroid and for diabetes (on Tuesday).
Dr will do a BT for pregnancy next week.

TTC5, glad you got that checked out... hopefully the drink works. And Yay, if no AF next week you will get the BT :)

son4me goodluck with your attempt on Sunday, i get my cheap OPKs on ebay, but they take a few days to arrive. Just keep checking your cervix, when it is soft and open you are really really close to O. I won't use EW personally, but if you want to i would just insert some the same way you would with lube and DTD the normal way (doggie) for deepest penetration. Then chuck the instead cup in if you really want to.

Yep, I have Gestational Diabetes....I thought I would! Gotta see another Dr and learn about testing my blood sugar and what to eat and not to eat etc. Then my Ob wants to do a scan to check how big the baby is and how much fluid I have.

AFM... tested today at apparently 12dpo- BFN. I don't actually think I O'd after the trigger injection. My temps are always a reliable indicator for when O has occurred and according to FF I only O'd 6 days ago, which I think is correct because I had SHOW and EWCM. Guess I will just have to wait it out. *sigh*

I woke up in the middle of the night with O pains, and then this morning about 6:30 am they were SO painful like someone was stabbing me with a knife! That lasted about 15 min. and they have subsided again, so I really think I O'd when it was the most painful. We DTD last night, exactly 12 hours before the stabbing pain, so I have my FX extra tight for a BFP this month and that it would be sticky and a boy! So, DH ended up with about a 60 hr. abstain since he released Tues morning. Now for that LONG 2WW!!!!

Thanks Yahmama. You are right about depositing close to the cervix and i am not very comfortable with Doggie :) that's why leaning towards having everything in instead cup and push it up as close as possible.

I have never tried instead cup so a question here.....when you insert the cup after DTD, does it move all the semen up when pushed OR can it actually block some of them along the way?

That doesn't sound fun. I hope the drink works. I have had to drink that in preparation for a colonoscopy, and it really cleaned me out!

I'm not sure how it does with contents already inside the cup since I've never put one in full with anything. I decided against egg whites, which I know a lot of ladies put inside the cup, but my DH and I decided not to go that route since I was getting my pH up to 7 with bs drink & douche and his pH was a 9...didn't want to add another factor in there.
Maybe you could "practice" with the cup a little bit before your attempt? Maybe try some preseed or something in there and do a trial run?

Thank you!! It's never been this painful before, so I never know when during all the O pains ovulation occurs, but I swear those 15 minutes felt like someone was stabbing me with a knife! It hurt even when my husband tried to hug me--painful to the touch! Hoping my extra vitamin-rich eating and everything maybe helped me to have a better ovulation? It sure has been easier than the IG diet!!!

Doula - yep he listened! I'm so glad I did all the inversions, music, heat and cold stuff. I refused to get wheeled into the OR without a fight!

Hobber - there is no perfect cycle or perfect attempt. The month I conceived was a complete mess.
I am so relieved. My midwife suggested lots of walking to help his head to lock in to my pelvis. Once he's locked in he can't turn again.

5 - I followed spinning babies to get him down, I'll be following it keep him there :)

Lola - As soon as I posted (here and facebook) I was told over and over about the spinning babies site. I know so many mommas that used it so I went for it. I've already been reading up on helping him stay put :)

Princess - I doubt your a girl producing freak lol After 3 girls I never thought I'd get a boy but here I am 36 wks pregnant with a son. Do yourself a favor, venture on over and read all the info about swaying girl. Most of us just flat don't know how hard we were swaying pink. Focus on changing your strongest girl factors and have a little faith :)

Get a bit of the ew inside and have dh deposit inside as well. Are you using ew for they sway or because of a lack of ewcm? I'm not a fan of doggy either, there's a lot of missionary variations that can be just as deep as doggy. We did a variation of this-- I didn't have my legs that high up, but DH was really deep in there. We decided not to DTD doggie style, because we conceived one DD that way and I think it is hard to keep the semen in there while trying to flip over and lay down afterwards.

Me too. The other method is the Modified Swim Up (Flava did this with DD4, I believe?), where you are trying to get the "faster" sperm to swim up into your cervix. We have kind of abandoned that, to be honest, because it is SUPER HARD to do and also not proven to work. I lay with hips propped for at least 30 minutes, then put the IC in while still propped and leave it in all day or night. There are a couple ladies who are still messing with the MSU method, but if you ask me, I think it is a pain and doesn't have any benefit over just plain sex.

Well, I will say from experience that you can end up pushing some out if you don't do it correctly. That is why I do it while upside down (hips propped) so that nothing is spilling out while I put it in. I really would just dtd and not mess with the semen and ew in cup thing. No one does it anymore because it doesn't work well and people didn't get pg fast with that method, either. You don't have to do doggie style, just have your DH push in as much as possible when he ejaculates. 3P1B did it missionary with deep penetration, and sometimes we do that too. Put a pillow up under your hips right away as well- or you can just do it ON the pillow with your hips propped. I'm not trying to discourage you from the instead cups thing, but I've been doing this for a year and a half and I have rarely seen it work.

Hobber - that's how I felt, I hated the flop to one side like a dead dog lol

POP, you are right, I guess the twin factor increases with age. I still doubt I would ever have twins. I totally agree with Cinss about the psychics.....if there was one who was 100% right for like hundreds of women, I would maybe pay attention, but I REALLY do think they are just people who pray on us desperate mamas and steal our money. As nice and sweet as they can be online, but they admit on their websites that it is just entertainment. SO DON'T GET DISCOURAGED!

Skrimpy, I am so jealous that you've lost almost 30lbs! WAY TO GO! I'm gonna check out this Bar Method dvd. Is it ballet? It is frustrating to have your cycle wonkety after a baby, I remember. Do yours get normal after weaning? I know you bf for a while.

Soni, welcome to the dreaded 2ww! I have ttc so long that I don't even care anymore to be honest, so maybe I can keep your mind off it by reminding you that it will just make you nuts! I do get a bit excited here and there when I have a cramp around implantation time or my boobs hurt, but I have learned that my body feels pg every month just because of the progesterone in it. Boo. Try to keep your mind off it by obsessing about eating super healthy or something! Of course, this is a great site for obsessing, so maybe just indulge yourself with it!

Kris, BALLS to gestational diabetes! Well, it can be easily controlled and is temporary, so that is the good news. You will be a super healthy eater before you know it! I have had several friends with gd and all handled it totally fine. I am sorry you have to deal with that, though. xxoo
