Super cute nursery crazycat!!!
Ok what's a tula? I have en ergo which is a total pain but I use while he's small and then I have an ergo that I used a ton later on with my daughter.
Cute nursery!
38,2 WK's today. Youngest was born today. Baby girl isn't ready yet i guess. Prolly cant find the right shoes with her outfit. Lol
So close sweetdream!
Lala, do you mean a Mobi that's a pain but great right now? I know what you mean! I loved it and hated it at the same time :-) I loved my ergo when she got older though! The Tula is very similar to the ergos, but people say they are better for whatever reason and they have a toddler size option that can take them further along too. I'm not 100% sure they are better than an ergo, as I've heard it's personal preference, but if this guy loves to be worn, I think I'll at least check them out, since they seem to be the craze these days, lol.
Sweetdream you are so close!! I feel like this last part takes forever when you've had babies that were born early already. I remember Lyra took me by complete surprise since I thought for sure she's stay in the full 40 weeks, but alas, they are on their own schedule! So now with this guy, I keep thinking he'll come early, but knowing my luck, he'll stay put to 42 weeks, lol. I had another doctors apt today and asked them to check me to see if there had been any progress and none :-( Still 70% effaced and 3cm dilated, so he could decide to hang like that for a while. We shall see!
Robin, remind me again what your induction tactics are? I plan to have sex when I can manage, lol, continue with red raspberry leaf tea and capsules, take EPO both by mouth and internally, eat pineapple, walk like a mad woman... anything else I can do? Oh, and how many EPO's do you take? re you doing both methods? Do you have to poke a hole in then when inserted??
PS, anyone else get a burning sensation in their ribs? I've had it for a while and thought it was him messing around in there, but when I mentioned it to my doctor today, she said it's actually muscle tearing as the weight of the baby pulls down :-( Ugh, not fun!
Oh, and is anyone doing placenta encapsulation? I was all set to do it, but my doctor said she had a patient who did and ended up getting sepsis and almost died - had to be taken to ICU and all that jazz, so she is highly against it. I'm not really one to go against my doctor's suggestions, so I think I'm going to pass on it, but it does make me a little bit sad because I've heard such great benefits from it.
I'm doing basically the same things as you! Epo-im doing orally 3000mg day plus one inserted with pin hole at night. That's what the midwife recommended. They will not check my cervix until next week for progress. But I will be doing a stretch and sweep at that time as well to hopefully help get things moving. Last night I was having some contractions stronger than I've felt so far. I'm hoping that's a good sign.
I have a burning sensation on my old c section scar. It hurts! She is face down pushing against it so that's why. But no to rib pain so far.
Have you has heartburn crazy cat?
I had with my last and he had lots of hair. This one nothing.. maybe she will have very little hair like my first who I also has no heartburn with.
Yeah, the heartburn has been hit and miss with this guy, some, but not too much :-)
My EPO pills are only 500mg, so I think I'll start today with 3 orally and 1 internal and then possibly increase from there. Thanks for the tips!
I feel like I am constantly contracting, but not painfully, so I guess they are still just BH. Hoping to get more going soon!!
AT the risk of rocking the boat I BEG YOU GUYS do NOT NOT NOT take EPO orally when trying to induce labor. It doesn't work, they've done studies on it and it's shown ineffective, and it really thins your blood to do it. I tried this with my 3rd son and ended up with lots of very small blood clots in my amniotic fluid and the L and D nurse (who had 25 years of experience) was like "I've never seen anything like that in my life!" EPO is a blood thinner just like aspirin and remember how they warn and warn you not to use aspirin after 36 weeks pregnancy?? 1500 mg of EPO is a very strong blood thinner!
Use it up the wazoo only - that actually does seem to help and without the risks of orally ingesting it.
Good to know. Thanks atomic!
