Hi. I am 39 and weighing the pros and cons of getting on Clomid. I know it's not the best option for 'geriatric mums' like myself.
Has any 35+ here got pregnant on Clomid? If so, did you have any problems and what gender did you get?
Thanks a lot!

I was wondering this myself. I am 36 & considering Clomid. Was curious what any older moms had experienced on Clomid...especially in regards to twins.
Anyone?
I am having my FSH levels checked and if they are not too high I will consider Clomid (if my Doctor agrees to prescribe it).
As I am doing it for swaying sake only I want to be very cautious and know all the facts before I do it.
myrainbowgirl, I don't know much about Clomid and twinning, other than the fact that it can trigger you to release more eggs, thus increasing the chance for twins (and triplets, etc). So sorry, not much help here but good luck if that's what you're aiming for. I just want that ONE little girl, hopefully! :)
I was considering asking my doctor in Feb for it(I am 38), but fortunately got pregnant in January. I took vitex for a month straight then af-o. It helps egg quality and possibly sways girl. Good luck with your decision and ttc.
Congratulations on your pregnancy strawberrymom! In the end, if they have 10 little fingers, ten little toes and are healthy, that's all we need, but a girl would be nice after 3 boys!
Mind you, I will have to make up some story for Doc to prescribe Clomid anyway, and I hate doing that, BUT, I need to be as proactive as I can with this one as it's my last. So, sorry Doc!
I was on clomid for two of my pregnancys due to a short luteal phase and I think low progesterone. First time at 37 resulted in a boy. Second time at 40 was also a boy (started out with twins, but miscarried one). Twins do run in my family though.

aidensmum, I don't want twins...I have 3 boys as well, and cannot imagine!! ONE little girl would be perfect, & if I get another boy, I'll trust that it was meant to be. But, I was concerned about my age and the risks of twins on Clomid possibly being higher...just wanted to hear experiences.
jens0972, were you swaying when you got your boys on Clomid?
I don't have much to contribute...my mom had 4 clomid pregnancies - 2 girl, and 2 boy pregnancies (1 singleton and twin boys). So who knows about the odds???
I have been swaying boy for 8 months. I had a miscarriage in Dec after a BFP in Nov.
I am seriously considering clomid as I cannot figure out what the problem is! Everything seems 'normal' except low progesterone....
i have a friend who conceived on clomid (over 40) and got a little girl - she wasn't swaying though, just couldn't get pregnant! No idea why though, her second they caught naturally (he is a little boy)
I had my little girl on clomid but i am under 35 so prob not much help for you but thought i would add my experience in case it helps x
