This may not be the right forum to post this in, considering it's for TTC, but I was wondering if anyone has gotten pregnant with no cm? I don't know what exactly did it, but when we had our O+12 attempt, I was completely dry... enough that it was not at all comfortable for DH, and we've never had that problem before. If I don't get a BFP this cycle, I'll for sure be using SYLK next time. I'm just hoping for some success stories!! Thanks :)
I was pretty much dry all the way through - immediate effect of the LE-diet! There were one or two tiny bits, but *very* scarce compared to a usual cycle for me! And look where we are now!
I had no CM this time around and when I conceived both boys I had tons. I really believe the LE diet along with my age changed my CM- hopefully it helped with my sway for a girl!
I was painfully dry this time conceiving compared to my other pregnancies.And i got pregnant on my first attempt swaying compared to ttc for 12 months beforehand! So it is very possible.;)
I was bone dry and had been for months - probably due to supplements for me. I didn't do diet. Got pregnant from only one BD + Zyrtec + Rephresh. First month. Looking very likely it's a girl.
I did with my girls, being naturally acidic and very dry!!
Sylk is not going to help you conceive at all, in fact it will make it harder. Sylk kills sperm.
O+12 makes it very, very difficult to conceive. As in next to impossible. Most of the people who think they got pg from O+12 either miscalculated ovulation or else released two eggs and hit only the second. This is especially true if you're dry, because at O+12 the sperm need to get to the egg super quickly and without CM and other fluids to help carry them there, they just can't do that.
If you don't get a BFP this time, I'd try dropping the O+12 attempt. The Sylk will only make things worse.
Wow, thanks everyone! I had no idea about the sylk... I just recently found this site and have been on in-gender for a while, which recommends it (as far as I've read!) Is there anything else I can use if this cycle didn't work? It was painful for DH, and he won't do it again if I'm dry lol. Also as for the O+12, I don't know what I should do then... DS1 was about a 3 day cutoff (I wasn't really charting that month, so I'm not completely positive, just pretty sure) and DS 2 was either a 5 day cutoff, or was conceived on O day. Any recommendations welcome!! Oh, and I'm 8dpo today (Tuesday)
However, that would be good news bc DH is leaving for work on my next predicted O day, and he's gone for 4 days at a time. So I was thinking we wouldn't get to have an attempt next month!
You can use the Sylk (or KY Jelly), I just want you to understand that those things do not help you get pg at all and in fact make it harder.

The reason you got boys had nothing to do with the day you had intercourse on, it's just a coincidence. Several of us have gotten daughters from BD on the day before O and O day (traditional Shettles timing) and for some of us, we have 2-3-4 Shettles opposites already. It's not the timing, it's all the other stuff in your life that made you boy friendly. 3 of 4 of my boys were conceived with cutoffs of 2-5 days and the other one may have been, I just don't remember. My DD I got BD the night before O, which is traditionally considered perfect timing for blue.
If it's BFN this month (which, you never know, you could get lucky, have Oed later than you think, or even released two eggs and hit the second one) you basically have two options for next month. You can keep the O+12 and add Preseed (which is blue-friendly, but do not use any pH lowering jellies because they chemically react with the Preseed to be very harmful to sperm) and even then it will still be difficult to the point of impossible to conceive at O+12, OR you could BD prior to ovulation for best odds of conception and rely on the other sway tactics to sway for you.

Ok, I just read all of that post, and it makes perfect sense!! I know for sure I was stressed for both DS's, and eating a more blue friendly diet. So I guess for next cycle, I can dtd either right before O day or even on O day. I read a little info on th LE diet but am still not completely sure what it entails. Do I still continue the calcium and magnesium supplements? And keeping my ph low? I drank tons of aspartame the days leading up to O, so I'm not sure if that's why my cm was so dry (or if that even has anything to do with it??) I also stopped breast feeding a week before O.. Right now since I've been so confused I have been only eating 2-3 meals a day and not eating before noon, because I read on here that keeping your glucose level down helps to sway pink. And while the post makes complete sense, I'm even more confused thinking that I may have done everything completely wrong... Lol I was so sure of what I was doing, and now I'm completely lost!! But I'm very thankful you have pointed me toward the right direction!!
I think the best odds of conception come from BD the day before O and it's also easy because that will be the day of your positive OPK.

pH supps info is here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-...echniques.html Some of us use antihistamines to dry up CM and also jellies to lower pH but since you're having little to no CM anyway, I'm not sure that you should go that route.
Eating 2-3 meals a day and skipping breakfast is perfect for pink. Nothing wrong there! You didn't get pg because you missed the egg, not because of the diet.
Just let me know the stuff that doesn't make sense and I or someone else will walk you through it. I promise the info on this site all hangs together, has data and logic behind it, and makes sense with itself, even tho it does contradict stuff on some other sites (that's cause they're wrong LOL).
I wouldn't worry about timing either. I got a + opk at 9am and bd one time only at 9pm that day - so probably day before o. I got pg and it's a girl!

It makes way more sense, and I feel much better about attempting to sway! Btw, congrats on your pregnancy Atomic :). And thank you nestof3, congrats to you as well! I'll look through all this new (to me lol) info, and I bet I can come up with a pretty good sway! I've lost a little weight already, but I think I only have about 20 lbs total to lose, and even then I'll be at the low end of where I should be. So hopefully this doesn't take too long ;)
well.....like you i treid to sway with cut off and O+12. i had 2 very perfect O+12 attempts and 5 and 4 and 3 day cut offs....but it just didn;t work and i was baffled as to why.....but then i was diagnosed with PCOS as i have been extrememly dry for 3 years now to the point where i have started to have lesions.....when i started worrying i may never conceive again due to my condition, my doctor prescribed clomid and even on the highest dose i didn't manage to conceive and well now it is obvious why...with my last dose of clmoid i took eastrogen cream as well....but still nothing so i do belive environemnt is key in conception i am sure of that.....well after my last cycle of clomid i had a normal period then didn't bother with timing and really with TTC, so just enjoyed BD 4,3 days prior to O then day before O and day after...( i kept taking my OPK's as i had plenyt in the bathroom) just to make sure that if i fell pregnant i can come back to calculate..so i BD often so to speak during my week of O all through which i was either dry or had very thick yellow snot like cm and voila....this was the very first incling i had there is a higher possibility this may be a girl....because for one i was quite dry and if i had any kind of cm (just before it was to O) i was not the best hosbitable kind. it was only cause of the high number of BD that i managed to fall PG i think this very time. it just remains to be seen that it is a DD .....but all my symptoms predictions and pychic readings point to a girl...even clomid is suppose to favour girl....
so if it is then yes...conception with little or no cm or bad cm can result in pregnancy but not necessarily easily but if it does there is a higher chance it will be a girl as well.or so i hope it is for me!!!!:)
Oh wow, when do you find out what you are having? Sorry if it says in your siggy, I am 2 posts away from being able to see lol. I'm wondering if my dry cm has anything to do with breast feeding then stopping... maybe my body hadn't had the chance to adjust yet. I have plenty of it now lol! Although I want to get pregnant ASAP, I really don't have any time constraints. My original plan was to start trying next February so that baby and DS2 would be the same age difference as DS1 and DS2, but I just couldn't stand to wait lol. I know of several people who did a full run of Clomid and did not conceive and then turned around and conceived naturally the first month off of it!! For some reason, getting pg that month after Clomid really seems to work some magic for people. (most had girls BTW)

Well now I'm wondering if I O'd a day later than what FF says... Someone on another site pointed that out and I had been wondering as well. So I'm either 13 or 14 dpo, temp is still up, but I had some pretty bad cramping yesterday and a little bit today an still bfn. I really wanted to be pregnant this cycle, but now after reading all the links Atomic provided here, I wouldn't mind getting a chance at a better shot in July lol! Yeah I checked internally and it was barely even moist at the time of dtd (sorry tmi!!)
If you post a chart I can look at it if you like. It's not unheard of to get AF 15 or even 16 days after O, but if it goes any longer than that be sure to see a doctor.

Boy, hard to say. The OPK make me think you would actually have Oed SOONER, not later. How sure are you that it was a true positive that first day? Was the line as dark as or darker than the control??
What happened on the day where you didn't have a reliable temp? (FF has it listed as the day after O)
On CD 19, the first test I took was almost positive, but I couldn't be sure. Then I took one later in the day that was for sure positive. It was positive through CD 21 in the afternoon, then faded a bit that night. I was attempting O+12, and I had pretty severe abdominal pains at about 4pm on CD 20, and I had remembered reading on IG that O can happen around the same time AF started, which was about 4:30 on CD 1. So, I woke up at 4am on CD 21 to do my lime douch the hour before attempt, and I usually temp at 5am, so I went ahead and did it then... hope that all made sense lol.
Ok then that makes more sense. It doesn't matter how long it was positive, you'll ovulate between 8-48 hours after the first positive (exception - a false positive)
I would not put ANY stock whatsoever into the whole "you ovulate when you start your period" thing. You ovulate when your hormones trigger ovulation and hormones also govern AF. It's VERY easy to make AF come a little early, people do it all the time, by taking a blood thinner like aspirin or having intercourse. your body doesn't know or remember what time of day you ovulated or got AF at.
Yes, getting up early, making a lime douche, etc will def. make that day's temp unreliable!!
So it's possible FF has my ovulation a day early? And the day of our attempt, I did make sure to take my temp before even getting up still. How much difference does an hour actually make? I really appreciate you taking the time to look at my chart and explain this stuff to me :) I thought I was pretty good with the whole TTC thing, then I found this site and have learned SO much more!
Ok so I just started spotting. On to next month! So after reading through tons and tons of threads, I think this will be my plan: LE diet, low glucose, abstain, one attempt at +opk, I'm gonna test out RepHresh and hopefully use leading up to, and after dtd, aspartame, DH cranberry supps., of course bbt, and still testing pH. I think I covered everything I planned out in my head... But I have one last question for now. I have an irregular cycle. I should ovulate between July 9th and 13th, and luckily DH will be home during that time. However, I see that Vitex is highly recommended. I know it's a little late to be asking/testing it out, but would it be worth it? DH comes home I believe on July 8th and leaves again on the 13th, so right now we should have good timing. I'm just not sure how likely the Vitex would throw that off... I should be getting the Dream Membership ASAP too, so I'm pretty excited about that!
