I was just wondering if there were any other ladies from Germany on here TTC a girl?
Bump!
I think Chessika is from Germany.
I wish I lived in Germany and I'll be in Berlin in two weeks for a week... but that probably doesn't count! :P
"handheb"! :running: Viele Grüße!
Juhu!
Thanks, Atomic.
Hi Chessika.
Suregena, I can tell you one thing. I had my diet pretty well sorted back in the UK, but am really struggling here as a lot of the things I thought would be available aren't and the food labeling doesn't appear as complete in all cases as it is in the UK.
I was hoping that maybe other German ladies can recommend some things.
Ahhh, yes their labelling tends to stick to fat/cal/protein and a couple other stuff but pretty simple listings.
I´m in Germany and was on the LE diet for a long time.
What kind of things are you looking for?
So you are from the UK? What kind of things do you like to eat? I found "toffee popcorn" at "real" which I love (not much fat and protein, mostly sugar). Also I like to eat the "low fat vanille pudding" from "optiwell", I add "amarena kirschen (cherries in sugar syrup).
The main things I am struggling for at the moment are pitta bread (which I used as a pizza base), a low sodium toast and Snack-A-Jacks. The alternatives for the rice crackers I have found so far are too high in sodium. Also, cooking spray and no added sugar and salt sweetcorn. But I am happy that I have managed to find Butternut Squash today.
Not long now until you meet your little baby. I bet you can't wait. Were your other babies on time or late?
[QUOTE=GeCon;221035]The main things I am struggling for at the moment are pitta bread (which I used as a pizza base), a low sodium toast and Snack-A-Jacks. Since sodium is "the least important swaying factor" I am not tracking it. Bread is high in sodium, so is the pitta bread. Maybe you want to make a low-sodium bread from scratch yourself? (I know there are recipes in the member section of the forum for this). Instead of toast I eat "Knäckebrot", this is low salt. For rice crackers I can recommend "4-Korn-Waffeln" from "Drogerie Rossmann". There is no salt added and it is from 4 corns (mostly rice, but also corn, millet (Hirse) and some Sesame). They also have one with only rice. For my canned vegetables, I rinse them with water before I use them.
You get the Optiwell things in almost every food store. The puddings are really good (they have 0.9% fat). As a butter substitute I use "Brunch legere" (made from yogurth). "Lidl" has some pretty good low-fat (0,1%) bread spread and yogurths. The brand is called "Linessa".
How long are you on the LE diet? I started loosing weight after christmas and lost 21 kilos so far. But I had a lot to lose. I am now on the LE diet since April. Where are you from? I am from Bavaria.
As for the pitta and toast: I was hoping to find the Weight Watchers options here as in the UK they are low-ish in sodium and cals/fat, but WW does not appear to be as big here yet.
Thanks for all your suggestions above. I will have a proper look for these things next time I am in the shop. Are the Waffeln Rossmann own brand or another brand?
I was on the LE diet for about 5 months, in which I lost about 15kg. I then stopped the diet as our TTC plans are currently on hold and to indulge in some good old German food, which meant that I have put about 7kg back on. I am hoping to properly start the LE diet again (even though we are not currently TTC) to shift the extra kilos. I am in Saarland.
The rice crackers are from "Alnatura". They taste pretty plain, but on the LE diet a lot of the things do. I tried some food from WW, but I did not like it (The soups had a huge amount of salt in it). This week was terrible food-wise. My son turned 5 years old so I had to make a birthday cake (I made a cake in shape of a train, decorated with cookies and sweets, so the leftovers were very tempting). But ovulation was last week, so I allowed me some treats this week. How many kids do you have?
I know... some foods just have crazy amounts of salt in them. I suppose it is just about finding some alternatives. What does your sway look like and how many months have you attempted so far?
Hi there,
another german girl is here ;)
Just arrived to read some facts about Gender Selection with High Tech.
I have 3 wonderful little boys (2007 / 2009 / 2012) - now praying for a girl.
I think we will go to ****, Prague next year to try for our girl...
Boy #3 was swaying, but did not work for us :worry:
:ballerina:
Schön, letitbe, du hast uns gefunden!
If you guys would like me to, I can sticky this so it's always at the top of the page.
That would be great, Atomic.
Hi ladies, I'm back too. Things have been a bit crazy busy, but I hope to come on here more often.
Just a quick post to see how you ladies in Germany are doing?
Little bump.
:)
Germany here also :-)
*waves*
Nice to see you. I have seen you have only been on here since December. Have you already decided on a sway yet or are you still reading your way through all the information until it feels like your head is going to explode?
I used to live in Germany (nr Stuttgart) - loved it there, really miss it!
How long did you live there, Rainbow?
I have only moved back to Germany last year after almost 10 years in the UK and although I am happy to be back I do miss the UK too.
bumping to sticky
Thanks for the welcome. I'm in NRW.Where are you other ladies?
As for the sway, I think I've got my sway plan down, thankfully. Planning on taking vitex from Af-O. I've been taking baby aspirin so far, folic acid and will use Rephresh and Sudaphed in my sway (DH bought some on his business trip to America). I'm also moving up my sway attempt from March to middle of February. Argh, I just hope everything goes as planned though and I don't start to have doubts about timing and all that stuff, since I'm not convinced cutoffs don't sway.
I am from SL.
I know it is not easy to come away from the cutoff idea.
I am currently back on the LE diet (have been on it beginning of last year, but stopped due to postponing TTC). I think I am ovulating today, but we are not attempting this month, hopefully next month. I have taken Vitex CD1-14 this cycle and it seems to have brought ovulation forward from CD42 to CD26. and
Hey Ladies,
I would love to join you...thank you GeCon for the invitation, happy to see some more girls from Germany here :D!
You're more than welcome, Pumpkin. Nice to see you here. :)
Ladies could you give me some advice on what food is safe for the LE diet? I can't find any artificial sweetened yogurts. What brands are good, what are you guys buying? I feel like I am eating the same things every day because I have no idea what is save to eat.
Pumpkin, I feel your pain. When we lived in the UK, I used to eat a lot of Weight Watcher stuff and I found more choice on things for the diet.
I am trying to re-adjust here, but am struggling a bit too.
Anyway, unfortunately I haven't found any suitable yogurts either, but have been recommended the Optiwell Puddings. According to their website they also do yogurts, which may be suitable, but haven't been able to find these yet.
Or alternatively there are Exquisa Quark Genuss or you could get plain yogurt or quark and sweeten it yourself with sweetener.
And I have bought some Matzen bread this week to use for Matzen Pizza. Yummy!
Hello,
why do you want yogurths with artificial sweeteners? Sugar is allowed on the LE-diet. I always ate the low-fat (only 0.1 %) jogurth from the discounters (e.ge. Lidl). But be careful, some ot the brand yogurths have nutrients added (I think optiwell does). It is low-fat and low-cal. To lower PH I drank Sprite Zero.
Good luck!
Nice of you to pop in, Chessica. :)
I guess you are right, sweetened yogurt is not necessary as long as it is low fat.
What empty calories/sweets did you use to eat, Chessica?
Thanks ladies!
Chessika I am trying to avoid sugar as much as possible since I have PCOS. I am eating/drinking low fat dairy and since I LOVE yogurt I was hoping to find some artificial sweetened but that seems hopeless. I found some at real but they were sweetened with stevia :(.
Are you guys exercising? I wasn't for the past attempt but would like to try cycling one hour a day for the following cycle since its supposed to lower T and glucose levels and also I have major digestive problems since I stopped exercising and chanced my diet.
