Do you tell others you are swaying?

I'm fairly new to this, been doing IG for 3 weeks, but now starting LE as was v constipated on IG. :worry:
Anyway, obviously dh knows and I've also told my sister, but am not telling anyone else in real life.
I wondered if others are telling friends/family or keeping quiet?
It's really hard isn't it, I just cant face all of the questions and cynicism. I also don't want others to know, in case I have a boy. I feel guilty that they'd think I wouldn't want him (I'd love another boy, just want to see if we can sway for a girl).

No way! JEEZ, I don't even tell DH I'm swaying! :rofl:

My DH, parents, sister and two closest friends know about the sway but no-one else really. Couldn't hide the dramatic weight loss from my parents as they know I never had any interest in dieting before all of this!!

I don't tell anyone. DH thinks this is nuts and that I am going to do all this stuff and either it won't be a successful sway or it will keep us from getting pregnant altogether. I have only told a couple of people IRL that we are even trying because when you already have 3 kids, people think we are nuts for wanting more. Heck, sometimes DH thinks I am nuts for wanting another.

No I am not going to tell anyone - I would hate years down the line for someone to let it slip to my children. If I have a boy this time he would feel unwanted and if I have a girl my two DSs would feel slighted. Lol anchor how are you managing to sway without DH noticing? I am jealous of your sex life if FR seems normal to him!!

Only DH knows and although he thinks im nuts he supports me and does his bit too. I told friends I was on a food elimination diet as had bad guts or a problem with bloating etc so spending 1 month at a time cutting out certain foods and that has contributed to weight loss as your being so careful about what you eat....

Everyone close to me knows that i was swaying. I do have the kind of personality though to try off the wall things so nobody who knows me IRL was very surprised that i would give it a go.

Just my mom and one other friend. We r keeping it a secret because in our culture boys are preferred and I don't want anybody to think that I would be unhappy with a girl. If it is a girl I would still love her as much (just like all of us).

Winter is coming - jumpers and coats will help hide weight loss:) It is hard though I know - I didn't want to lie either so told some white lies - eg wasn't eating crisps or bar snacks during the week (wasn't eating them at the weekend either but this isn't strictly a lie.) For the record - LE diet is a diet:) What has become difficult now is explaining why I am not touching alcohol at all now but am eating other things:wink:

I definitely DID NOT tell anyone at all that I was swaying, it was something just mine and hubbie's. Like yourself, I don't want any questions or cynical statements so I had to shut up my mouth. Plus knowing that probably I will still have a boy, which I know I would love just as much as a girl, but I don't want others to think that I don't love my baby if it's a boy. Now that I'm pregnant, I only told my side of family, i.e. parents and sisters and two colleagues of mine. My colleague asked me what gender do I prefer to have and I just said that I don't mind...oopps...big lie :)

Actually it was a bit hard hiding it from one of my colleagues who is in my office and who also is a very dear friend. I didn't even tell her we were trying for a baby even though I probably would have told her if we didn't get pregnant soon. I used to take salads with me, which usually I didn't bother to take much with me and I used to add cucumbers...I hated cucumbers before I started the LE diet and once she told me, 'are you eating cucumbers?, you hate cucumbers!', I didn't know what to answer her and I just said that I didn't have much veggies in my fridge for a salad, so I also included cucumbers. It was obviously a lie cause I continued on eating cucumbers for months :)

I really hope it doesn't take too long (although both DSs were conceived in first month of trying - DS2 was conceived 7 days before ovulation (well we BD 7 days prior), so I sort of am expecting a quick 'fall' but guessing it will probably be different as I'm two years older and on an unusual (for me!) diet).
There's also Christmas around the corner too, which will officially be a nightmare diet wise! And not just the day itself, but all the do's. I so hope we all have our beans well and firmly planted then, so we can eat what we like.

I am secretly swaying also :) I am actually really shy about it. I tell people I want all boys :/

No and I wasn't very vocal about it even with DH. People knew I was into swaying and stuff but I didn't let anyone know we were TTC until after my gender scan, if you can believe that!

Nobody IRL knows. Even my dh. He is against swaying and thinks it just gets my hopes up. I told everyone that I was watching what I eat because I didn't want to gain a lot of weight when I weaned ds3 (which was also true), so they know I'm being careful about what I eat and that I am not snacking. People have noticed my weight loss, and my dh has expressed some concern about it, but I just told him I want to be healthy. It is difficult, especially when someone makes something really yummy and I want to eat it, but I don't, and they wonder why - like my MIL is always bringing food over. I take a few bites to make her happy and then save the rest for the kids and dh.

Nope. I'm not even telling anyone (except DH) that we're TTC again. Too much judgement from my mother in particular!!!

When we get preggo we're just gonna say we had an 'accident', not that anyone will believe us, LOL. And I'm sure I'll get a lecture no matter what from my mom on how we need to stop and how it's unfair to our other kids to have more....sigh....

No way, others would think i am crazy or something! They don't even know i am ttc, they say after 6 boys to get over it and it is NOT possible to have a girl . I rather keep everything to myself than have to deal with everyone else negativity which is added stress that i do not need.

My DH knows and I told my mom and dad about my plans. They are totally supportive that's why I knew I could trust them not to judge me and not tell anyone else. I know ppl would think I'm crazy and start with stuff like "well don't get your hopes up" and "just pray for a healthy baby" yada yada. I'm not up for hearing all of their nonsense lol :)

No, I didn't tell anyone and when I try again in a couple years I still won't. My family would get so smug if they knew and I failed. I wouldn't be able to take that. The only person who knows/would know is DH, but he sorta has to be on board lol.

I have only told my Best friend and only cause I really trust her to not be judgmental she has been there for me since grade 2 so like 18 years and she was happy and thought it was great even helped me with a lot of research

I'm just telling people that I'm trying a new experiment to lower my blood sugar, thus lowering my weight. Thankfully I am overweight and loosing 30 lbs wouldn't hurt me one bit so no one thinks anything of it. We aren't going to tell anyone when we start to TTC either and we aren't announcing it to family before after our 12 week scan, although that's because of all the m/c's we've been through.

I will tell some people but not the extent of it. lol I just say it cant hurt to try. And other peoplle I dont even tell them Im trying to conceive. Alot people dont get why I would want more when I all\ready have 3. SOME PEOPLE!! lol

I havnt told any family or friend I'm trying in jan except mybff and DH

I've told no one but DH (of course), but DH told his friends and I'm really upset about it :(

that's what i'd like to do too!

Absolutley NOT! LOL my DH didnt even know that we were swaying LOL.... He would think i am nuts!
I have told no one at all... hence the reason i am on these boards all the time, if i didnt have other swayers to chat with i think i would go crazy :)
