What helps me

Morning!

So as most of you know, I had my sway in August and I got my BFP :). I'm 12 and a half weeks pregnant and of course, I sometimes think about my sway. Going in for my NT scan in less than a week so will update in the U/S forum but until then...

I'm feeling so good about the fact that I got pregnant in the beginning of August ( probably O'ed August 5th). Of course, if I was doing a strict diet for months it wouldn't matter much when I tried
But since it wasn't that long, I'm so relieved that I didn't end up Trying in Sept or Nov. I probably would have! And I'm still never perfect with diet. Haha.

*Is beginning of August more neutral than boy friendly you think?*. I even had a dream
about it! That most august sways are strong if you add in some Extra tactics. Guess it's
been on my Mind in a positive way. :)

* Dh gaining weight ( fat not muscle) around is belly and his very low meat intake

* That our true attempt was the third time Dh released that day

* Just wanted to add ( no idea what I'm having yet). But something that also gives me
Comfort during this waiting time is that I took a 1/2 benedril a half hour before my sway an the other 1/2 after. No idea why this makes me feel
Good about my sway, but it really does!! Hehe

* The other thing is that I used RepHresh. It helped a lot with keeping Ewcm
Low and keeping ph low after we dtd

* Taking Baby Aspirin ( only got two in before attempt) helps as well! I know
I wasn't taking it for long but it helps me during this long wait until
I find out the gender!

* skipping breakfast or other meals. Definitely gives comfort! I know
My blood sugar was low

* losing weight around O time. Major blood sugar drop

* low stress. Very low. Was not swaycessed at all.

Just wanted to share for those swaying as to what gives me
Comfort and helps me to feel positive about my sway. No matter what the outcome
May be! I know I did a good job :). Not the best
But good.

What made me feel good during my sway:

DH's incredibly low sex drive. Any other time I would have hated this, ha! But I felt it really meant that his T was low.

Baby aspirin. I am an avid supporter of this wonder drug and think it really helped a lot!

Pepp Tea. I could really feel it *calm and chill* me out and I really came to enjoy it, and I think it helped lower my T levels, at least it made me less frantic.

Controverisial I know, but O'ing in new moon at least made me relaxed about O'ing in the "girl phase" (I did O in new moon with DS1 as well, but since it already lined up in my cycle perfectly, I liked the "freebie" as I call it.

I also enjoyed my rose quartz jewelry. Though I don't really believe in "ions" per se, just wearing them and thinking about a bundle in pink really helped me with visuailization, and I think the mind is crazy powerful, as far as if you believe in something, and positively try to picture it, I think it may help. (it's not fail proof of course!)

I did NOT skip breakfast, but I did have a different, less nutritious one, which made a difference.

Thank you for sharing auroara!! I definitely think all those factors helped in conceiving your little girl. Glad to see that we both have some overlaps too! :)

My first attempt will be in November. I just still can't decide on couple of things and I would love your advice:

Not sure If i should take vitex, as it does delay ovulation for me and I have spotting w/ vitex.

Saw palmetto- I am planning on taking it the whole cycle-through ovulation (started yesterday, will stop it when I got a +opk)--is this dangerous to take for entire cycle and quit cold turkey? (they are capsules, not sure how to wean off).

Aspirin-does help reduce ewcm and reduces PH for me but, same thing as vitex, I have spotting w. it. I took it 4 days after AF ended this last month and I started spotting. should I just take it before my attempt?? and then wean off before BFP?

question for you ladies about sex positiion, babydust, I noticed you said you dtd for the attempt w. you on top then J/d and SET. was it the same for all 3 attempts? and how far apart were the attempts. did you dtd on +opk?? sorry for so many questions. I have been on the diet for 8 months and will use alot of other things as i still get LOADS of ewcm week of ov. BUT i want to get pregnant first month I try so I need your advice ladies:)

Hi wishing! So we only had one true attempt. Dh released himself around 9:30. We dtd at 10:30, me
On top, very shallow release and he basically pulled out at the end. Stayed in for a split second. I did 1/2 app repHresh around 10:00 am. Then we dtd 11 hours later. Around 9:30 pm. I was on top, deep releae. But jumped up immediately. Used the bathroom and did semen emitting technique. I got a positive digi opk at 3:30 that afternoon and pretty sure I O'ed sometime the next day. I wanted a longer cut off but oh well. I hope the frequency of our bd session helped to reduce sperm count. I did have Ewcm the day we dtd but not the day after. And ph still stayed at 5.0.

Personally I would only use repHresh, BA, and antihistamines. I think the other stuff messes with cycles too much. O easy on the BA. Only one every few days

Thanks. My gut tells me no to take vitex and sp, this is the first time after so many years that I notice my cycle lining up w, moon phase and sign (ovulation on NM). I don't know how much this will sway since the 'season' is not so girl friendly where I live. but I think Atomic said it doesn't make much of a difference anyway... so if I take vitex or SP , i think it will mess up my cycles.

the other thing about diet pepsi/coke is that when I do drink it, anything w/ aspartame in it makes me produce more ewcm, strange, huh? if I drink plain water or keep the diet, i am 'drier' down there, but when I drink a pepsi or have CL, I have gobs of ewcm. I am not sure if this has anything to do w/ estrogen production??? I read that alot of packaged/unhealthy food cause estrogen levels to spike. could this be the reason for why I get like this??

I am so nervous about the whole ttc. mainly b/c I don't want to have gender dissapointment if I dont get my lil girl:(

It's good that you know how different things effect you! I in no way think you need to add asparatyme, in any form, to your sway. Especially if it increases your Ewcm. It's not healthy and your Doing plenty of other things to sway, in my opinion. I did add a little crystal light and a few diet cokes but I didn't go overboard with it this time. I think a relaxed sway is the best sway possible. Of course, do diet an such too. The fear of GD is scary! But just think how woderful little boys are too. They truley are a blessing. So no worries, do what you can and leave the rest up to the main upstairs ;)

Well i've had a long 8 months to test everything out, so I guess theres only one plus to waiting so long to ttc. I really am trying to have a relaxed sway so i hope the planning ahead will help w. That. The less supps and jellies i got to worry about the less stress.


One other question. Did you take cal/ mag on attempt day or stop them before ov? ( as cal/mag supps make me more alkaline. thx!!

Sounds good! No, I didnt take any cal/mag supps this time. Didn't increase my calcium

But remember, I don't know what gender I'm having yet so you may not want to go by me! Haha. The post was just about what helps me to get through this waiting to find out the sex of the baby. Basically, the things I feel really good about with my past sway.

of course. it still helps me decide which route I should take as you've already had 1 successful girl sway:).

one more question about the benadryl you took. I went to Target to pickup benadryl and sudafed. they had liquid gel benadryl and 24 sinus decongestion Sudafed. where did you get your benadryl? thanks!!

Oh yeah? I got my benedril at a local pharmacy. They had the tablet kind that I can easily break in half. That's the kind you want

Hi Babydust,

1)I tend to think that August is more boy friendly than neutral but it's not a huge amount. Please understand these boy and girl peaks are not magic that suddenly begins when the calendar hits Sept. 1 (in the northern Hemi), it's a gradual peak and trough so Aug is moving towards the boy peak/girl trough that will climax in Oct.

2)DH having some pudge on him helps :agree:

3)third attempt of the day :agree:

4)Benadryl :agree: altho I do not want anyone else to take it after BD, I"m glad it worked for you tho.

5):agree: RepHresh

6)2 baby aspirin doesn't do anything but can't hurt

7)skippiing breakfast, losing weight, low stress :agree:

DO NOT stop cal-mag supps suddenly. You have to take them all thru your cycle if you're going to take them. It's bad for your health to stop any vitamins/minerals cold turkey like that.

You can also get kids Benadryl (liquid) and then you can take a smaller dose than you'd get via pills. They sell adult Benadryl that is liquid but the mommy in me doesn't like advising that to you guys becos once we got mixed up on the bottles and gave my baby adult liquid Benadryl (they are IDENTICAL) and it was one of the scariest things that ever happened to me

I still don't want anyone taking it after BD but if you decide to go ahead with that, you could just use a small amount of liquid.

- I agree with you about august. Just glad that I conceived at the beginning of August instead of the middle or end. Only the start of the boy influence then ;). Too bad I O'ed during the full moon but oh well.

- oh and I almost forgot! The effexor I had been on for 6 months until O definitely lowered T levels. TMI, but my big O is only now getting back to normal. Took like 3 months! So yeah, that's something that makes me feel good about my sway too :)

- I was also getting very little sleep during the weeks before and week of my attempt

I didn't know Dh having a little pudge was good for swaying girl! Dh gained a little belly this last year, he was super skinny while conceiving our other two and so was I. This time around I started chubby and had lost a few pounds.

Babydust - I believe we were on IG at the same time - you fell pg with your IG baby with an O+12 on your first attempt (or therabouts)? [or I may be totally mistaken lol, but you used the same pic on IG, and I do remember you from there!] I was D4D before I changed to Mrs_I when I dropped my sway on cycle 11. Congratulations on your pg!! Have you posted your sway?? xxx

babydust im SOOOOO up in the air about swaying again right now......i want to, but i know this is fall.....the boy season. also i find it strange.....i ovulate in the full moon untill februaray, and both my girls ( my first wasnt swayed) was conceived new moon taurus in february, and my swayed girl in mid march, new moon girl taurus sign...

i am also not swayobsessed this time diet wise or lube wise, ph wise either for some reason

That sounds good! I would wait till Dec and then give it a good try. I tried beginning of Aug which might away slightly boy, but in my opinion, is still pretty close to the "neutral" time frame. As July is considered neutral. Plus I did a lot of other things to sway, kwim? So dec is similiar to august. Jan start the more neutral time frame, so as long as you do other things to sway, you will be fine. End of dec would be best as long as you do ok during holiday time that is! Hehe. But one cheat won't affect Anything. It's the overall diet and lifestyle factors that sway, as I'm sure you know. Gl!!!

and i havent been swaying to much...used to test my ph like 10 times a day etc. ive been TO laid back. and deciding what timing to use....we DTD 16 days in a row and boy that was rough!

Aw, that is rough but great for girl frequency. Gl!!
