I'm 7 days aware from o and as usual, the Ewcm has started today and lots as usual.
I've been doing le diet for 10 weeks, started with antihistamines, drinking diet coke, aspirin and rephresh.
How can I reduce my Ewcm? I'm starting to think Ill never be able to conceive a girl.
Any ideas or suggestions very much appreciated.

Sounds like you've done everything you can! It's possible that even though you have lots of ewcm that the composition is different now.
I'm not sure you can do more than you have, just make sure you do FR so there's very little from DH coming in so it reduces the sperm per BD session.
From reading online about increasing Ewcm, I'm going to do the opposite, ie cut down on water and increase my caffeine a bit.
Did I read somewhere I can take Benadryl and zirtek together?
Is it worth me getting DH to take sudafed too?
Thanks for posting lace. I fell both times first cycle with DS 1 and DS 2. I've always had loads of Ewcm. I guess the diet would help. I though I'd escaped it, buts come with abundance today. V annoying.
I'm not sure about the Zyrtec, I've never taken it myself, I hope one of the other gals can chime in on that one.
You could try going with more coffee and less water! I'm drier then I used to be years ago and I drink a lot more coffee (yay 3 boys!) then I did years ago too, lol.
Don't drink green tea, that boosts ewcm.
No worries, I'm not drinking green tea. It's difficult enough to swallow down peppermint tea!
Hmm, I'm wondering if the vitex has had an effect, as it is the first cycle I'm using it.
I'm going to make sure I take Zirtek at the right time of day (i.e. 2 hours before BD), cut down on water, drink 1 - 2 cups of tea a day, BD once a day until ovulation, get DH to take Sudafed and keep my fingers crossed we are doing enough!
Hmm, good question about the Vitex! It's certainly possible. I haven't noticed that, I would tend to think it would reduce ewcm if anything as it's supposed to increase progesterone and reduce estrogen dominance (and estrogen is what makes ewcm). Though since Vitex has different results for everyone it's hard to tell.
I feel like I have the same problem.. very interested to see what diet and antihistamines do come 3 weeks from now.. I also think I'm doomed to have boys - I say that, but I actually want another.. DH wants the girl :S
I have the same problem here too. I never was a big water drinker, but do drink a ton of diet coke.... I've even been taking sudafed this cycle b/c I have a cold that won't go away, but there is still a lot of EWCM.....
No you can't take Bendadryl and Zirtek together if you are in the UK, you can take diphendramine and ceterize together but in the uk both contain ceterzine. The only equivalent we have is dipenhydramine thats found in sleeping tablets such as night aid that can be taken with either antihistamine.Quote:

Thanks, I've read about the night aid thing. Am I right in thinking if I get Nytol one a day and take that (obviously in the evening say 10pm), along with Zirtek at say 6pm, that would be OK?
I am assuming they don't need to be staggered / have time between them? However, the Zirtek has had a bit of an effect the last couple of days, which has renewed my optimism! Maybe because I'm taking it religiously, ie every day, it is more effective.

Just be careful when reducing water intake because since we're cutting back on sodium and potassium, messing with our water intake can screw up the levels even further if you're dehydrated.
I think getting DH to take Sudafed may help a bit, if you want him to, then give him one dose 1-2 hours before attempt.
Take cetirizine 6 hours before attempt, it can take a while to get working.Quote:

The problem with the hormonal herbs (and the blue swayers have this same prob. with diff. herbs) is that what they do is affect the balance of T, E, P and the hormones that send signals about when they're needed. I'm due to ovulate next Tue/Wed, and I'm taking Zirtek and bought some Nytol too (not taken that yet). It definitely seems to be late afternoon that I get the EWCM, which is when the one-a-day Zirtek is wearing off I guess (I take it at about 6pm). So it must be having an effect.

Hi Atomic, thanks for asking, I ovulated earlier this cycle (I believe Sunday through the night or Monday). I guess the vitex had that effect, as it's my first cycle of taking it (i.e. it's made me ovulate 2 days earlier).
I think you posted on another thread of mine about BD Fri night / Sat night and Monday night (and got my positive OPK Sunday lunchtime). How I was panicking we didn't 'finish off' Sunday night at the crucial time. I'm hoping the Saturday night one was the one, but we'll see (DS2 was conceived from BD 7 days before my positive OPK, though I know my 'conditions' are very different now).
So I'm probably 2 DPO. In the dreaded two ww! I'm tempted to have a break over Christmas if this isn't our month and start again in January diet wise and ttc February. It's so hard to decide whether a few days of Christmas gluttony is worth the risk!
