Sorry for all the ??? But I just got an almost +opk and now spotting????

Ok so this has never happened to me, (as far as I know but then again we have never really ttc before because it always just happened) so I took an OPK test today and it looks almost positive, but not quite there, so I decided to check my CP and CM the CM seems to be watery mostly but I did manage to get a little EWCM, I think but it only stretches about an inch. But I noticed that there is a little blood with it! There is no way it can be my period because I'm only on CD 10, FF predicts O tomorrow. Anyway, I have never had any blood in the middle of the cycle, is this a bad thing? Is my recent habit of drinking peppermint tea causing this? If anyone has ever had this happen, please let me know what ever came of it. Or maybe it is common and I'm just the weird one who never gets it?? I have just been really worried because I only have a 25 day cycle and am only 2 cycles removed from getting my IUD out and I worry that maybe something isn't right. I think I had a chemical last month if that means anything. Please help or share your experiences with this!!

It's probably just spotting. A lot of women spot when they O.

I really hope so! Does that mean I have already ovulated or that I am ovulating right now? Do you know how soon after spotting does ovulation occur?

are you taking vitex or sp cause that can sometimes cause it

also it is possible you have scratched or irritated your cervix checking it

Perhaps you've just never gone 'investigating' before to see if you are spotting. It may have happened just a little before without you knowing about it. I'm not sure if ovulation spotting happens before, during or after ovulation.

Nope I don't take either of those, I don't think I scratched anything because I keep my nails trimmed very short and I use the pad of my finger tip and not the tip to collect CM. I am thinking it may just be ovulation spotting but if that is the case, I am now confused at when O will actually occur or if it just did. I started tracking my temps but didn't get a dip today. My OPK was neg yesterday and possibly positive today, it is so hard for me to know for sure with those. FF predicts O tomorrow so I guess if I get a temp dip tomorrow and positive OPK then I will know. It is just so weird, I am 34 and have absolutely NEVER had any spotting in the middle of a cycle, so I am confused to why now??!!

I thought that same thing but I did get a little on my underwear too.

Not trying to be a pest...but don't poke around in there! It's easy to get a little scratch (which can bleed a lot) or to even cause an infection. Personally, my cervix is super-sensitive at O, I even have to tell DH to take it easy sometimes :)

Now I am pretty sure I'm ovulating today because I think I got a +OPK yesterday, plus the possible O spotting, FF predicted O to be today, and I just took my temp and there was a big dip. This is my first time temping but from what I understand, there is a temp dip before the temp shift to higher temps. I'll try to post my chart if I can figute out how to.

Around ovulation your cervix becomes very soft and can be easily injured and some sway supps (pep tea among them) can make it a little harder for your blood to clot, so when your cervix softens for O, it can make some bleeding occur.

Does this work?? I still have not ovulated according to my temps. I stopped drinking the pep tea two days ago . I'm concerned I won't ovulate now because my cycle is always 25 days and that will make my LP too short to sustain a pregnancy! I hope it all works it's self out for next cycle. Also my bmi is down to 16.6 could that be stalling my O how do I get my bmi up without swaying blue? Next month my sway will be so much more relaxed, this is a bit stressful.

Yes, your BMI is too low, you need to increase calories. I think you've delayed O and you're getting fake surges.

Eat more cals and try to get in a little bit more fat every day.

If your O is delayed, your AF will also be delayed. You don't necessarily have a short LP when O is delayed, they are not connected - you can have delayed O and short LP, delayed O without short LP, or O on time and have short LP.
