Balding DH and testosterone levels

Just curious as to how many ladies DHs are balding/bald and have been able to conceive girls?

My DH's hairline started to recede in his 20s and now at 31 he shaves most of it off when it does "grow". TBH there wouldn't be much there I think if he was to let it grow. His father (one of three boys) has some hair loss as well but not as much as DH and DHs brother has a full head of hair (he also has two DSs).

Is there any link between male balding and gender of offspring? I tried to google but my searches just confirmed balding was caused by testosterone. I'm mainly interested because I'm thinking DH may have super boy sperm (he sure likes to think so! lol!) due to his high testosterone level especially seeing as DS2 was conceived after just four BDs and my AF was very irregular so not even sure when I ovulated.

I may suggest he starts using licorice root to get his hair to grow (he's not interested in hearing about swaying) and as a result also reduce his testosterone.

I read somewhere once that men bald due to high testosterone levels I can't remember exactly where I read this but I've also read SP can be used as a natural "rogain" but I do know a man who is balding a managed to have a daughter as well goodluck to you!

My DH started balding at 16/17 and we have 2 boys.

Lol yes he likes to think so lol... Our first boy together his super sperm beat the Bcp lol and the second was our first try

My DH has a full head of hair, and I have 6 boys, he has a very high sperm count though!!! My sister's DH is very bald and they have BGBG, my Dad is bald from he was 24 and he has BGGG!!! So I don't think it is worth worrying about!!!!

We have been wondering about this since my earliest days on IG before I was even interested in swaying and there hasn't seemed to be as strong a connection as you might think. Example, Bruce Willis. There didn't seem to be any link at all, when we had threads about it, it was all over the map with no discernable trend.

My husband has a full head of hair and 4 boys.

Propecia is another alternative, may be even better than LR.

Good point about Bruce Willis! Personally I think my hubby just has loads more testosterone than the "average" man...hence the reason for his hair loss and also for bearing boys so far. A man with a head full of hair may have some other factor that sways blue like smoking or drinking for example (I think these sway blue!?)

Does propecia sway pink? Not bothered about hubby's hair growing...was just gonna sell the LR to him under false pretences to help with my sway hehe!

My DH doesn't smoke and I don't either, we are not in an environment with smokers, he hates cigarettes, as for drinking he only drinks at most, 3/4 times a year....so what the hell Is swaying blue for us!!!!

Those were just examples...meant to be hypothetical.

Now that I've learnt about swaying I've definitely realised why we have boys apart from DHs high testosterone level. I'm a burger & fries and spaghetti bolognese addict so we eat red meat at least three times a week and if not more! My salt intake was quite high and I've never had to diet before as I maintain my weight no matter what I eat. Loads of other little things I realise as I read more and more on this site convince me that I unintentionally programmed myself to conceive boys.

Yes, we believe propecia probably sways pink BUT unlike with the LR, I have not seen many results with it and generally unless I have personally eyewitnessed a lot of people get pink while taking something, I don't recommend it even if biologically I think it should sway.

I haven't seen people take propecia and get blue, but it's just that I haven't seen results with it yet. I know of one person on here who is having her husband take it now, so maybe we'll get results from that.

Smoking sways pink (studies have been done) and also of the custom sway plans, of the peopel who smoked the overwhelming majority were people wanting boys.

Drinking, I believe sways pink but do not have the data to back it (yet)

No magic bullets! :)

if for some reason you start off with 80% chance of a boy and something you do sways pink by 5% and you end up with only 75% chance of a boy, you've still swayed pink even tho you're still going to have statistically more boys than the general population.

My Dh has a full set of hair and we have 2 boys. at the same time he's a very hairy man (middle eastern)! he and I both have high T levels. My FIL is 65 and still has a full set of hair. he's got 5 sons and 1 daughter. I also have 4 of my friends who's DH's are not balding and they have 3-4 boys each. so i'm really not sure..

what is propecia??

propecia is a medication (I believe you need a prescription for it) that can lower levels of testosterone and help with hair loss. It's not safe for women and would be strictly for DH's use.

My husband takes propecia, and did when our son was conceived as well. Although at the time, my diet, lifestyle, exercise habits were quintessential boy sway. Not sure if that could have stood a chance against all those other factors. Hoping it will help us in this girl sway attempt!

My dad had a big bald patch on the top of his head and he had 3 daughters in a row and then a boy.

DH has a full head of hair at the moment, he's 30, and we have two boys. His dad still has a full head of hair and he had 2 boys and one girl. His uncle is completely bald and he has 2 daughters.

DH is balding since his early 20s and now is 32 and more bald... But above all, from the moment he'd fertilized my eggs he was absolutely sure it were boys, saying:" i know what i delivered', all the time.... :rolleyes:

My DH has been losing his hair since his early 20s. I will say that he is very hairy elsewhere, just not on the top of his head :) We have 2 girls...

My husband said almost the same!! :giggle:

My dad was almost totally bald by his mid-20's, and in his early 30's, he fathered 2 girls and no boys (and he was an only son of an only son of an only son, lol)
I was supposed to be James...haha!

My hubby is not completely bald but thinning for sure - we have a boy and a girl.....

I have always tried for babies as soon as my periods have ended hence why i only have girls as the xx are waiting when the egg is released wish i knew all this before! I bet its great living in the us where technology is so advanced and you can try alternative methods to get ur desired gender! Tell me about yourself, clrarly you long for a boy?

So is the lady who started this post!!!! I'm so so so so excited for her, she had a really long road to get here but her bald hubby could indeed make girls. :heart:

My dad is completely bald and started balding in his early 20's. He has also always been a smoker which is also linked to balding early. He has 2 daughters and 1 son, all with different women. 😨😲
