BFP or Evap Line?

I *think* I'm 11dpo today and this morning I took a clear blue test (it came with my OPK's) and there was the faintest of faint vertical line to make up the + sign (the horizontal line was dark). I had hubby look at it and we both agreed there was something there with a blue hue but it was so so faint. How are you supposed to know if it's an evap line? It showed right away and I thought it might get darker after a minute or two but it just stayed a faint shadow. I bought some First Response to try tomorrow instead as those are what I used with both my boys.

I hear CB tests give so many false positives or evap lines that look like a positive so I just don't know what to think!

Sounds good to me! FRER do not have evap lines.

Ah, i know.. much more helpful right! But I took it at 4am because I keep waking up then to PEE! so by now it's way old and looks a little different. I have no idea what to think. Trying not to get my hopes up!

as long as there was blue in it its a bfp, mine was like that the first test, second didn't get much darker either but was a bfp all the same. Only time i have ever had a really dark line on those particular cb tests was with my first son and i was nearly 8 weeks when i took it, i think they are one of the latter ones to show a line so its sounding good

I've never used CB tests so I'm no help but I hope you get a clear result with your FRER tomorrow! GL!

I had a faint line with a blue dye test this time around (12DPO) and I am most definitely waddling around with baby on board now.

hi hope this is your bfp, but yes cb can give terribly convincing lines and within time limit too. I have had this happen before.
Can't wait for the frer oh by the way some people test better in the pm:wink:

Thanks everyone! I'll be testing tomorrow morning with an FRER to see what happens. It's still early, but why not :)

That happened to me last cycle exactly and it was not a bfp. :( took an frer the next day and it was a bfn. I won't ever use the blue ones again. I sure hope yours is a true bfp though.

BFN this morning so I won't test again until wednesday if my period is late. I never got early BFP's with my others so not sure why I thought this would be any different. Still thinking I'm out though!

Fingers crossed for you! Never use blue dye tests I hate them! Good luck Wednesday

BFN this morning. AF isn't due until Tuesday so I guess there is still time. Not holding my breath though! I never got early positives with my two DS's so I don't know why I'd expect to this time! I'm going to test again thursday or friday if AF still hasn't come by then!

I tried to look for pics online and this would be the closest I'd say.

maybe SLIGHTLY different but pretty much the same feel as that pic (blue hue) - it was 4am though so it wasn't in normal daylight. The faint shadow line showed up right away so it wasn't like an evap from 2 hours later.. but still. You'd think the FRER would have shown today though. I keep reading people saying they aren't as sensitive as they use to be. If I'm not preggo I have nooo idea why my lower back has ached for the last three days along with my hips and cramping... seriously so weird! I just want AF to come already if that's whats happening!

Thank ladies! I've been blesses that my first two babies happened first month so it's okay that this one didn't. It was only one shot so I knew my chances were super low with everything I did! Looking forward to this month :)
