Argh! Figuring out what I want to do about timing is driving me crazy!

I am not TTC until July, but I am getting all my ducks in a row. I should be ovulating July 19th which fortunately is in Pisces (female) but is only 5 days after a full moon which is still in boy territory. I am going on vacation in June two weeks before I ovulate, which will help me to relax, I will be buy the beach, easy to stick to my diet, no electronics, all very helpful to a girl sway.

He is the clincher, because of my insurance I need to get pregnant ASAP so I need it to happen July or August if I can. I was going to do a 3 day cut off because people who know what they are talking about have recommended, but I am afraid I won't get pregnant. It is the only part in all of this that is really causing me stress.

I don't even know why I am writing this, i think I just needed to get it out.

I had exactly the same problem as you hunny in regarding timing! I was convinced i would do a 3 day cut off but after 4 months of trying that with ds2 i realised that it was to far away from O for me to get pregnant and in the end ended up having a 1 day cut off as O'd early! So this time i have decided to try a 2 day cut off for a few months and if that dosent work go for a O+12. I know it has been said on numerous occasions that timing is the least important factor but i couldnt bd through O it just scares me to much lol! I would say as you only have a small ttc time scale then try a 3 day cut off first and then maybe 2 day?! As long as your doing all the other factors i.e diet and supps and have been for at least 6 weeks then youve got a good attempt there!

Thanks for the reply. It really does help. I am just so confused. DS was conceived with long absence and BD 1 day before ovulation. So logic tells me to do the opposite. But then I read so many girls are conceived with frequent BD straight through ovulation, but the going advice is a three day cut off. I just feel like besides the moon I have everything else going for me, I don't want to waste that month, KWIM?

Yeah i do hun, its so difficult to know what is best! Would u consider doing a O+12, if you O pretty regulaly then ive heard this is meant to be the second best option after a cut off?!

I am really nervous to do a 0+12 especially with my DH's work schedule. Unless it fell on a weekend I really don't know how we would do it.

I think i might frequent BD with a 2 day cut off, and then if I can get in a 0+12 in as well it will be icing on the cake. I feel like the 3 day cut off is causing me too much stress.

i completley agree, keep checking to make sure you dont have to much ewcm around that time. Before i started swaying i used to get loads of it TMI for the week leading up to O, now i only get a real small amount on the day of O. I also take sudafed the days i bd and the days leading up to O as this really dries me up, hope its not making me infertile though!! I have tried to pinpoint O+12 but finding it so hard, praying that the 2 day cut off works!!

Hi, I was having the same dilemma. I've decided I'm going to dtd until day before o. The reason I decided this as I think the diet is the key and I really don't think I'll be able to do it properly for long so the quicker I get pregnant the better! Just my opinion. Good luck!

Im sorry kaseybaby, I know exactly how you feel!!! Timing has been the most stressful part for me too. With my 2 boys we bd frequently...attempted Shettles with ds2 so we bd everyday and tried for a 2 day cutoff....so this time I ave read to do the opposite, so we are abstaining and I was thinking of doing 2 day cutoff. The other night I went on IG and looked through sways for the ones who got girls and wrote it down from about 8 of them to compare, and there really is a good mix there in timing from 2 day cutoff to straight through O and O+12, but like you Im just too scared of getting to close to O!! So Im just making sure Im being super strict on my diet this week and have my creams and lime douche stuff ready so I can make sure I have a friendly girl environment just in case!! Cuz my O varies within like 6 days, the last few months its been anywhere between the 17th and 23rd! And Im doing alot of praying for guidance on this journey and making a plan! Im putting it in Gods hands and praying he blesses us with a healthy baby girl no matter how my timing goes! Good luck to you and try not to stress too much, because that raises testosterone levels!

Thank you for all your encouragement ladies. I thought was going to do a 2 day cut off but after reading another post on here now I am reconsidering. Lol. I am going to lose my mind trying to figure this out.

Really don't think you should stress about timing, I started another thread on here about timing the day before you and got some reassuring advice, I would put a link but I don't know how, sorry!! I'm sure it won't be too hard to find. Try not to stress!

First of all I would not give the moon a single thought at all.

Stress sways WAY harder than timing does. Put timing out of your mind and just try to get pregnant. A great read if you haven't already is my friend Minerva's blog on IG, http://www.ingender.com/cs/blogs/minervasmom/ (I hope that link works because I am only getting monkeys right now.)

She analyzed hundreds of charts from FF and found that timing really didn't sway too much, it mattered a lot more about whether you have EWCM or not when you BD.

But of course, more boys than girls are conceived anyway. 140-160 boys are conceived for every 100 girls (more boys are miscarried so the gender ratio at birth is more like 105-100) So even if timing has NOTHING to do with it, the odds are that you would have conceived a boy any day that you conceived just from sheer luck, KWIM??

Anyone who is in any kind of hurry to get pg should NOT do O+12, it takes forever to get pg that way for most people.
