Licorice root and frequency

I believe dh has has high testosterone...high sex drive, went bald in mid-20s, etc.

We conceived our first 2 boys bding every other day, no sway, but looking back my diet was so boy friendly. With our last boy (3rd), we included fr for 7 days in our LE sway, no LR. Debating with our next sway whether we should do FR with LR or just LR and no frequency. Would using LR alone with 1-2 attempts have the same effect at lowering sperm count and testosterone? This is our last chance at a little girl so I want the strongest sway with the least stress.

I would do the one attempt with LR and whether you do FR or abstain before that one attempt is up to you. Personally, (but I am no swaying expert) I think getting too caught up in FR makes things stressful and I am content with just one attempt in the fertile window, and just don't worry about abstaining or FRing. I"ve seen lots of successful sways where they do abstain/one attempt/LR...if my DH was remotely cooperative, this is what I would do. ALthough I know alot of women aren't comfortable with abstain...and well...some of us can't do FR...so one attempt in fertile window makes good sense to me.

DH will have just turned 36 when we start trying so I def. don't want to risk abstain. FR was very time consuming last time around and def. took the fun out of trying, but I also don't want to look back with regrets which is why I am curious if LR alone with 1 attempt would do the job or not. I def. think leaving FR out would help keep both of our T-levels low, so it prob. boils down to which is more important...lower T-levels or lower sperm court?

Is there still a chance if you do frequent release and LR?? Would you suggest fr bd or just a few bd attempts? And also is it just DH who take LR and does actual liquorice work?

Hi there! Last month was our first month TTC on our girl sway. My husband took LR and we did a 16+ day FR. We got a BFN. I think the two together lowered his sperm count too much, but it also could have just been our luck last month. We just completed our 2nd month's attempt (2 DPO! :) and we left FR out entirely. He took the LR, but after seeing FR result in many BFNs around here I decided to remove it from our sway. Another girls swayer, Thorz300, was doing a long FR for a couple months and then the month she cut it out of her plan she got her BFP. After seeing that I was convinced FR is harder on the swimmers that I originally thought! Anyway, I should know in the next couple weeks if our attempt was a success! Good luck to you!!

I wonder if FR and LR is overkill as well. To my knowledge, LR is just for DH.

I see your dilemna about raising T vs lowering sperm count. Are we splitting hairs...probably but thats what swaying is all about! ;)

Can he do a CFR? I think this had good results in the stats.

Also, you could lower sperm count with the jellies etc or a douche?

I've actually been leaning towards using LR and CFR this time around. I'm still on the fence with douching....

Outside...otherwise it isn't really FR. (well it is, but not in the way it is meant)

But I get pg with the drop of a dime, but other ladies who don't, may want tob edoing FR inside to achieve max odds of preganancy.

I would do that attempt on the day of your +opk! Or even the day after (but MY eggs are sloooowwww to leave the gate)

My DH is 29 and I am still unsure between abtsain & FR. He is on licorice root 3 a day and I really think he would struggle to do FR as it is let alone on LR too so am thinking abstain may be best for us

can you fr with a condom? Assuming the condom works, and it aids in rhe ability to fr for dh, would this be a problem? I don't see how as long as dw does not o or anything, but that probably would not matter if it wasn't the 'actual' atempt anyway. thoughts?

THIS!! I think frequency is the absolute least important thing and it's the most stress and effort by far. Licorice lowers T levels AND lowers sperm count

I've never advised anyone to do that long a FR and prefer people keep it 7-10 days.

There is always a chance no matter what you do or don't do.

I think we are seeing the best results with one attempt so start with one attempt (hubby releases on his own and then together you do one attempt at positive OPK or whenever you prefer) if you don't get pg after a couple months you can decide what to drop and change.

Just DH takes LR.

Actual licorice does not work, must be the concentrated supp form

Remember, there is CFR and hurry-up FR...two different things and if one doesn't work for you, the other may

The actual act of DTD vs. helping himself may raise T levels and testosterone for DH. Still, I think it can be a good strategy if DH is more willing to go that route and FR is very important to you. You may want to use a spermicide condom, the spermicide residue may sway pink.

Well, DH would be 41, and me 28 when we would do this. Our 2.5 yr old and (yet to be born) baby (both boys) were with abstaining, so I want to try the other since they were both boys.
